LeDarius Brown has been on the run ever since a masked maniac slaughtered his entire immediate family. He decides to move to Detroit, Michigan, where his last surviving family member, Quentin Brown agrees to help him get back on his feet. After six years, things have been looking up for LeDarius and he wins the heart of the girl of his dreams, even though his family's killer haunts his nightmares every night.
Soon, LeDarius notices a pattern. People around him are being killed... and each death hits closer and closer to home.
When he realizes that the same hatchet carrying stalker is behind the murders, he decides that he has to find and go toe to toe with the man who brought his whole family down to protect his girlfriend, Kemba.
Will LeDarius finally claim the blood of the man who caused him so much heartache... or will his blood be the next spilled by the hatchet?
"Hatch" is the sexy, erotic murder mystery that will keep you guessing until the end! Can you figure out who is behind the mask before the end?
I'm convinced, you can't go wrong with a book by Criss Carr ! This book had me on pens and needles trying to figure, out who was the nut murdering people. I most definitely will be following this Author on Amazon, so I can read part 2. I rate this book 5 stars.
This book had a little bit of everything. It was comedic, suspenseful, scary, sexy, and fun. I enjoyed the authenticity of the characters. They were who they were unapologetically! I guessed the ending, but this is my genre so I tend to be able to spot the killer early on in most stories. The deaths were on a Mortal Kombat 11 level! They were gory and horrific - I enjoyed the details and reading it from the character’s perspective. I will definitely give another book by this author a try!
I would recommend this book to fans of Urban Fiction and Horror!
This book was everything I look for in a psychological thriller. There was suspense for days and the big reveal was completely unexpected. I almost skipped to the end just to see what was in that damn toolbox but I'm glad I read the book thoroughly. It was worth it! My anxiety wasn't ready for this one lol Great job Criss!
Man listen I thought I had this figured out then maybe I don't..... Maybe, maybe not.... Yup.... Awe I didn't see that coming. That's how it goes all while there's a love affair woven in between. The commentary and character thoughts are hilarious and real!
Wow... that ending got me. I don't know what is going on in that head of this author, but her characters are truly psychotic and got her writing their sick stories. I read several of this author's work and when I tell you that I am hook I mean that literally. I choose not to read her books right away, however I know when I do get to them I won't be able to put them down. I was able to figure out who was behind everything once I begin reading in chapter 3. With just a few small grammatical errors this book had me in my zone and I guess I wanted more, however I know this author just gives you enough so you can come back for the next one. Well guess what author I will be back for book 2 because I know it's coming. And you still got 5 stars out of this one from me.
Bruh this book was so good and actually, I suspected that you know who was the killer from jump and then I suspected another man as the killer and I was right the first time and the second time. Not the angels, but the demons are talking. I was so scared reading this novel but it was so fucking good that I could not put it down.
Criss Carr's books always take you on a twisted journey. Even when I think I know who or what, doesn't matter. I keep reading anyway. How can I not? Clap it up. She's done it again.
I had a hunch from the beginning and that fueled me to finish this book in under two hours lol The synopsis reeled me in and the cover is amazing. I had to know who was behind this. This book kept my interest and i could not and would not put it down. Great job ❤️
That ending! Listen, if you enjoy a good thriller or suspense book, this is for you! I promise I got to the end like 'Wait,' Quentin or Hatch whatever his name is definitely took me through it. Oh and those angels! LOL. Great read!
I liked this book. There were some inconsistencies with the story, and I figured out who the killer was pretty early on. I love reading urban horrors and thrillers so I still enjoyed it.
Omg, when I say this was a very good read, I mean every bit of it all in going to say is part 2 me please and thank you, you did the fam thing with this book
I never read anything from this author before but he has my attention now!!!
This book was so intense! I was on the edge of my seat the entire book. I couldn't read fast enough to see what was going to happen. This is a must read. Criss Carr you have a new fan!
