Adam II: ICON

Rate this book
In the darkness between the stars, nothing is quite what it seems.
It seemed that Adam and the Kinetics were safe, but they must hide from Shape-shifter menace.
It seemed that the Demos were defeated, but the victory was based on deception.
It seemed that humanity and AIs had the winning card, but forces gather to destroy it.
What will protect the Earth-Centauri system, if we lose the power of the Icon?

AK Stone is a British author, musician, and general dreamer. 'Adam,' a science fiction, is his first novel. The book was put on sale, but an inferior unedited version went viral on pirate sites, luckily translating into success on Amazon UK. It also won a little award (Indie book of the day award), as well as blog/critical acclaim (from "Ethereal Pages" and Reading Other People"), and has over 130 average 4*+ reviews on Amazon UK, and 310 average 4*+ ratings on Goodreads.
On the back of that, the sequel, Adam II: Icon, is out now.

An Epic story very well told. I didn’t want this book to end and that’s a rarity. Fingers crossed that part 3 will be here soon.

Excellent follow up to Adam. If I could give 4.5 stars, I would! Loved the world/universe building and especially the dialog between the AIs. I wasn't as keen on the human relationships, they all seemed too emotional and overly protective of the teenagers, considering there was an inter-galactic war raging around them. Genuinely intrigued where this goes next and can't wait for the next (final) installment.

Excellent

Really enjoyed this sci-fi epic story and plot, great characters, I thoroughly enjoyed book one Adam and two is even better! Deeper and thoughtful than many books of this genre and not too much of the military battle stuff, just right in fact, lots of adventure and the binary planets were a great picture drawn in my mind. Loved it.

Interesting enough

Interesting enough but it was bit long winded in parts. I found it a good read with some fun bits.

I really enjoyed ICON and thought that it was a fabulous follow up to Adam....a great story with some very interesting science and technology thrown in for good measure. The detailed imaginings of other worlds and alien life was particularly good. I'm really hoping there will be a 3rd book coming along soon!

Great plot development with varied alien civs, imaginative tech and lots of intrigue. It was hard to put this book down. I am fast becoming a fan of sentient AIs as they were among the most interesting characters in the story. I am not sure if there is going to be a book 3, but if so, I will definitely read it.

One of the best science fiction books I’ve read. Mixes science in the future with adventure and grips the reader with a great variety of characters. Hope A.K Stone releases the next book soon. Love for the characters to meet again.

Interesting sci-fi

2 books, Adam & Icon together form and interesting story arc. The first book is about the development of a boy and his skills. 5hw second book has much more hard sci fi. Some lulls in the story, but enough forward momentum to satisfy.
