Characters = 4/5 Plot = 3/5 Romance = 3/5 Mystery = 4/5 Action = 4/5 Darkness = 2/5 Humor = 0/5 Stars = 3 ½ ☆ ☆ ☆ Would I read future books by this author = Yes
Loved the story. It has a shifter feel but it's never revealed.
Lots of drama and action keep you guessing.
The romance is okay and could use alot more steam.
The reason for the 3 ½ stars is because the novella ends abruptly and the next book is pricey for the number of pages that are in it. I guess I will wait until I get KU to finish this duet which could have been combined into 1 book. I really do want to find out what happens.
This story has some interesting twists and draws you in quickly. It is the first part of a duet, so be prepared to read book two to get the answers to the many questions it leaves you with.
I would have rated this higher, but, I really don't like series that leave you hanging like a soap opera, plus I won't buy a book that has fewer pages than the cost of the book!
