They tried to make me disappear. I thought I had found the brotherhood I had been searching for.A club to fill the nagging void.Till they took the woman I loved and left me for dead. They may have her now, but things are about to change.Vengeance will be mine. You’ve read the novella in the Wanted Anthology, but Drop a Gear and Disappear is back and better than ever. Prepare to ride with the Kings of Vengeance.
Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author Winter Travers is a devoted wife, mother, and aunt turned author who was born and raised in Wisconsin. After a brief stint in South Carolina following her heart to chase the man who is now her hubby, they retreated back up North to the changing seasons, and to the place they now call home. Winter spends her days writing happily ever afters, and her nights being a karate mom hauling her son to practices and tournaments. She also has an addiction to anything MC related, puppies, and baking.
Drop A Gear and Disappear was the first book from Winter Travers’ Kings of Vengeance series.
I can’t elaborate too much without getting into spoilers, but after the first few chapters set the stage, I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. Travers set the stage for the Kings of Vengeance and the series well.
I enjoyed the storyline, but I did think it was a little anti-climatic in relation to a big conflict. I wanted just a little more detail and action. Otherwise, the characters were fun and I can’t wait to see how the personalities develop as the series progresses. The series has great promise. The funny and crazy Dyno is up next and I can’t wait.
Let's start off by saying we always enjoyed reading this author and we are very excited to dive into this brand new series and we have to say we are so loving this one.
Quinn was your typical biker all alpha and possessive and is sexy as sin and is so in love with his women he will do anything to protect her.
Kimber-We found her to be a bit of a firecracker and one who was funny and sexy and had just enough attitude to handle her sexy alpha biker and keep him in line and in lust.
Quinn has found out that the club he was prospecting for is not at all he dreamed it was and when it was a choice between his club and Kimber guess which one he picked ?
Overall we loved the story from cover to cover .We really loved Quinn and Kimber right from the onset of the story as they made they perfect couple and they had some really hot chemistry that lead to a lot of hot and sexy scene's.
We loved that right from the start of the story that it started off with a bang and it got more and more intriguing and more intense as the story progresses.
I have to say we loved getting to know all the other character's as well and all those who have become Quinn's saving graces as they were funny and dangerous and playful but, also deadly as sin and when the moment arrives protecting what belongs to them becomes a reality and it's vengeance be damn .We are so looking forward to the other brothers and their stories as we have already developed a bit of a soft spot for Dyno already.
"We loved it !"
We are so looking forward to the next book in this series....
I have missed this lady's writing because her latest books were amazing. Not only does she have an amazing writing full of darkness desire and so much more, but also she writes a genre that I love. Winter Travers knows what she's doing and each book made me even more addicted to read her books. Drop a Gear and Disappear is her latest release and it's the first book from the Kings of Vengeance MC. This story was included in the Wanted Anthology and now this amazing lady had add so much more to this... This book explores the lifes of Quinn and Kimber. Quinn always wanted to belong to a family. A family with brothers that would protect each other and the ones they loved. When he's out of jail he prospects for an MC. Together with his girlfriend he thought that he had it all until one day he didn't... Kimber had a normal life, a job, a boyfriend and one day all of that disappeard... She thought that she was going to a club party with her man but her life changed dramatically after that... OMG it was perfect. I thought one thing and it was even better. Great plot, well written, engaging, intense and a tad funny. It started in a way that left me shivering and then it evolved into something even more intense. The chemistry these characters share is super strong and the bond that tide them is unbreakable. We have crime, drama, madness and evil as well as hope, love, loyalty and desire.. Oh boy girls... The hot scenes are great It was perfect to read this book and I can't wait for the next one. There will be a next one right Winter? I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I have read every book of Winter Travers and she never disappoints!
Quinn is a fresh out of prison hunk of man that is prospecting for the rolling devils! Kimber is his amazing girlfriend. They have an amazing relationship. Everything seems to be going great until an unfortunate night at the clubhouse and things take a turn for the worse.
I love the relationship between Kimber, Fancy, Quinn and everyone else! Couldn't put this book down and I can not wait until the next!!!
This book is amazing! It may seem confusing when you start to read it and you think that you somehow ended up in the middle of the story, but let me tell you, it sets up everything for this book. You get to go on this action packed, heart pounding ride with Quinn and Kimber, and you will absolutely love it! Winter Travers is one of my automatic one click authors and her books never disappoint.
After being released from prison Quinn was looking for a new beginning and he thought he found a home when he joined the Rolling Devils MC. When he met Kimber the chemistry between them was electric and he wanted her to be part of his MC life.
Although Kimber was nervous about going to an MC party she agreed because of the feelings she has for Quinn. When he is left badly beaten and she is kidnapped will Quinn be able to find her before it is too late?
I really liked these characters. Quinn is an alpha protector who will do anything for those he loves while Kimber’s faith in Quinn was inspiring. This is a great start to a new series.
*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.
What a way to start a book! We meet Gear as a prospect of a tough MC. He convinces his girl to go to a club party and that is when all help breaks loose. He gets beaten and left for dead while she is held captive. Rescue comes in the shape of a group of guys that know what brotherhood really is. Definitely contains some triggers but man what a way to start a new MC. I can't wait to read more. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.
This is the first book in this series. I understand now how it got it's name. It's Quinn and Kimber's book.
Begins with Quinn, AKA Gear, being a prospect in the Rolling Devil's. He finally talks his girlfriend into coming to a club party.... biggest mistake of their lives.
This book was only okay. It's writing feels stiff....it's almost like this is the first MC book this author has wrote.... who knows, maybe it is but I doubt it.
If you don't like what is going on with your club....go start your own
Kimber has found the perfect guy in Quinn, she is just having a difficult time seeing him in this new MC he loves. Quinn is looking for brotherhood in the MC he is prospecting for instead he finds nothing but betrayal. When you can't find the dream, you build the dream MC with your friends. Great look into the MC lifestyle and how a club is created.
Quinn is sexy, alpha biker willing to do anything to get his woman back. Kimber is a firecracker and knows just how to handle her man. A good mc read that you won't put down.
Well I don't think I've ever read an MC novel quite like this before. Quinn is a prospect for a very shady club. He really just wants the whole brotherhood. Kimber is a nurse and his awesome girlfriend. They are crazy about each other. Quinn finally talks Kimber into going to a party, but this is where is turns dark. Kidnapping and violent beatings draw the line. I couldn't put this down. I had to know what was going to happen next. The ending gives you the hea while tempting you to want more...
***ARC provided in exchange for an honest review***
Winter knows how to write an action packed page turner that will have you thinking what happens next and then turn it all the way around and have your head spinning. Quinn(aka formally known as Gear) thought he found a brotherhood with a particular MC but one night when he was with his girl Kimber things went to (Sugar,Honey,Ice,Tea) real quick. Fast forward and he’s on a path of revenge to get back the one thing that is his and always will be. The chemistry between Quinn and Kimber is explosive and melt your kindle hot. The comradery between Quinn and his newfound family the Kings of Vengeance is so hilarious and real that you will be wishing you were there. I’m ready for what’s in store next!
Oh my word, this was a fast action packed book. Before I knew it, it was over...lol
You are hooked from the start, as you don't exactly know what is going on, but the more you read, the more you find out what the whole back story is. All Quinn wanted was a place to call home, a family, a brotherhood. And what he got was a bunch of greedy, drunk men who is only out for themselves. He got a rude awakening when he was left for dead and his women was kidnapped.
Doesn't that capture your interest. WTH... After that, well lets just say the Kings of Vengeance went hunting...lol
Definitely a freaking awesome start to a new series Winter. I can't wait for the next book...
I really enjoyed reading this book. It is the start to a new series. The story was action packed and curled my toes. The characters had hot love scenes and chemistry. I would recommend this book to others. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book from an advanced reader copy.
This book is apparently the beginning of a series about the Kings of Vengeance Motorcycle Club. It’s built on the bones of the outlaw Rolling Devils MC and includes members Quinn (previously, “Gear”), Dyno, Zephyr, Sledge, Point, and Rhino; Core is a prospect and Brick will no doubt join them when he finishes his prison term. Kimber is Quinn’s girlfriend/”old lady.”
The book opens in the middle of sex between Quinn and Kimber; we get that the heart of their relationship is sex. Written in a relaxed style, the book is more like a snack than a meal. The characters are not fully developed, and we are offered a smorgasbord that will most likely be developed in subsequent books. The problem with a series of books is that the first one needs to move along like gangbusters, capturing our interest and continuing to an excellent climax then denouement. This book doesn’t. But…recommending it is the writer’s easy-to-read style.
The timeline of the book feels off. Without giving too much away, Kimber is placed in an untenable position. She’s supposed to be a smart woman – we’re told this, but we aren’t shown it. At a time when the writer could have given her opportunities to shine, she is simply made to sit and wait in a darkened, windowless room. Quinn, supposedly in love with Kimber, takes over a week to rescue her, detouring to start up a new MC which is the central purpose of the book. Kimber seems to get lost in the minutiae. And even when she has been put through a week of psychological torture, she brushes it off, telling Quinn she loves him. Whoa…Kimber would have been traumatized. Her capture was accepted as a heinous act, without trauma.
Realism persists in being ignored. The Rolling Devils are an outlaw gang, more than an MC. Kimber was kept as a captive and was never touched. Given the evil nature of this gang, the members would have done a lot more than touch her. Glad they didn’t because that would have been a further tragedy, but her captivity was improbable.
Another unrealistic situation passes when Kimber is joined by Petra, a new woman also held captive. We are told she is “in a lot of pain and looks pretty bad off” but “more of her wounds were just superficial.” Either she’s injured and hurt or it’s all superficial and mere scratches.
The pages in the book are poorly laid out. Paragraphs often do not line up properly, so it is difficult to see where actions begin and end. Missing quotation marks make it difficult to tell when someone is speaking. Characters’ thoughts and text messages collide with narrative so it’s even more difficult to tell where narration ends and reverie begins. This causes a lot of stops and restarts while reading.
I liked Miles, the cop in Port Huron, Michigan. He was written sympathetically, and I would have liked to see more of him. The helpful gas station attendant was definitely an example of good Samaritanism, and an interesting sidebar, obviously not meant to be a major character. He was well written, better than some of the main players.
There is a plethora of errors, for instance: --) “…hindsight it twenty/twenty.” I think that should be “…hindsight IS twenty/twenty.” --) “Not after what the Rolling Devils had some to him.” Possibly “…what the Rolling Devils had DONE to him.” --) “She fine, but ready to get….” The speaker, Quinn, has never spoken with a patois before this so I’m pretty sure that should be “She’s fine….” --) “But I know for a fact there is at least five doors….” There is more than one door, so the verb should be a plural form as in, “…there ARE at least five doors….” --) “Sledge says there was three outside.” Ditto, the plural form: “…there WERE three outside.” --) “A lot have things had changed in the last week.” What??? I don’t know…maybe, “a lot OF things had changed….” --) The waiter brought out our food, and I descended on it like a starving man.” This is a woman speaking; I think it more likely she’d be like a starving woman. --) “It was good think Quinn had just tired me out….” Perhaps “It was A good THING….” --) “…but she was also carried a shit ton of drama around with her those expensive shoes and bags.” Oh, good grief and yikes! What is the writer saying here? How about, “She also carried a ton of drama around with her in those expensive shoes and bags.” --) “I heard her say anchovies so I’m sure that shit it going to be disgusting.” Well…how about, “…that shit IS going to be disgusting.”
There are way too many errors and each one causes a pause while the reader attempts to figure out what the writer is trying to say. This book is crying out loud for a proofreader and editor.
The book needs fleshing out; it is like a wordy outline or a first draft. While it is indeed loaded with potential, it isn’t quite there yet. I rated it 2.5 stars and rounded up to 3 stars because of the writing style. I have to say I like the name of the book and its derivation, as defined in the book: “Drop a gear and disappear.” Curious concept.
Gotta say, it wasn't great. It was quite short and because of this lacked any real depth to both MCs, their relationship and the plot itself.
•⟩⟩ The MCs Quinn and Kimber were okay characters. Again, I didn't really connect or feel any emotion for either because of the lack of depth and dimension to their personalities. They seemed like they were good together but it was a lot of telling and barely any showing if you don't count the handful of sex scenes the book opens with.
•⟩⟩ There was alot of telling and little showing. The opening chapter especially an odd opening to the story IMO. The author just drops us right in the middle of their relationship. Specifically a raunchy sex scene that was a little cringey. (Just say no to "yes daddy" byeee)
•⟩⟩ Most glaring was the lack of originality with exclamations. Every damn character had to shout "Holy fuck!" when something was going down. Every. Time. So, imagine my frustration when there are literally so many types of you can exclaim especially with a curse without repeating yourself.
•⟩⟩ I found the heroines "kidnapping" quite unbelievable and well...just too tame. I was actually expecting worse, so maybe I set myself up for disappointment? Who knows. What I found odd was the ultimate bad guy was this douchebag named Major (he was the instigator of Quinn getting beat down and Kimber getting taken) but aside from the initial fight and big dramatic beat down scene Major didn't DO anything. Literally, he slapped Kimber hours after she woke up in her locked room but that's all. I expected this man to try to torment her because he made such a big fucking deal about her when shit hit the fan. So, at the very least, I expected him to pop into her room more than once, to try to make her believe Quinn was dead or even try to force himself on her in any capacity. No, no I didn't want the heroine to be hurt (of course not) but he was portrayed as this big asshole and played the part good at the beginning but the author just put him on th shelf after that. It was a major (haha get it) missed opportunity considering how awful the Rolling Devils MC seemed to be I would have expected something, anything at all, to fit that quota of evil but aside from learning they decided to sell her and then find other women to sell too? Well, that was it. The sum of their evil was apparently not much.
•⟩⟩ The whole coming together of the Knights Vengeance MC was pretty underwhelming and a little hard to believe. It also felt weirdly positioned in the timeline of the story. Because one minute Quinn's all about saving his woman but next thing ya know he has five or six other guys at his back ready to help and then suddenly they're like "well take em out and take their territory!" Yeahhhh I don't think it works quite that way but whatever. They even bought a building for their clubhouse while "planning" how to rescue Kimber. News flash, it was hardly planning and just a bunch of waiting and a brainstorming their new biker club.
•⟩⟩ Quinn suddenly murdering multiple people bothered me. As far as I knew Quinn had been in prison for protecting his late mother from an abusive boyfriend and went in for aggravated assault. So, it really didn't fit the character the author had fleshed out that he so easily began shooting the Devil's MC members in the head without hesitation or thought. I never got that "could totally murder a dude and be fine with it" vibe from him and I guess it was supposed to impress me that he was willing to go this far for his woman but it just didn't feel authentic to me. Not even in a acting out of desperation sort of way or that whole doing what I gotta do to survive shit.
•⟩⟩ Kimber also got over her "traumatic" kidnapping in what felt like seconds. She didn't lose her shit on Quinn, didn't blame him, didn't feel like she couldn't be safe with him or anything! She just goes "Okay baby. Love you baby" - WTF? She tells him "You just had a little blip with the Rolling Devils." Then "And you learned from it." Hahahah like that fixes things. What sane person wouldn't reevaluate their relationship or be upset? Geez.
Sad thing is the actual plot wasn't half bad. I could see this working for the beginning of a series but it wasn't executed properly and fell short of the mark. It had alot of potential but it lacked the depth, structure and polish a good story needs.
And ya know, funnily enough, I didn't hate it but I wish it had been different it some ways. The book as a whole was all very unexciting.
So first I want to say I Have Not had the chance yet to read the shorter verison of this story in the Wanted Anthology. I actually do have the anthology sitting on my kindle and have read a couple of the stories on there. I just hadn't gotten around to reading this one yet. Which is probably a good thing, because as much as I love anthologies, I always have a hard time getting into the stories because they are so short. But anyways on with my review....
I really liked Quinn and I really enjoyed him. But I have to say that although I did really like him and enjoy him, I was kind of let down by his character. I felt like we got to know nothing about him, well except for the fact that he had been released from prison and had thought he found some family with the Rolling Devil's MC. But I just felt like we never got the real feeling of him and where he came from, what he did to go to prison. But as I said what little we do know of him is he's a man that recently got out of prison, meet Kimber, and joined the Rolling Devil's for them only to turn their backs on him and basically beat him to death. Now Quinn's a man on a mission to destroy the Rolling Devil's and get his woman back.
Once again I liked Kimber, and I enjoyed Kimber. But once again I got nothing out of her, no background, no family history, really nothing about her. Expect for the fact that she had meet Quinn in their apartment building, they started dating, and the fact that she didn't like the fact that Quinn was trying to join the Rolling Devils. Oh and than the fact that she gets held hostage by the Rolling Devil's.
Look I don't want to say that I didn't enjoy this book, because honestly I did really enjoy this book. In fact I had been super excited to see that Mrs. Traver's was bringing out a brand new MC series. I have to say that I really enjoy the band of brother's that came together to help Quinn rescue Kimber and makeup the newly made Kings of Vengeance MC. But at the same time there was something missing in this book for me, like the wow factor (I guess). I don't know what it was and I'm trying to think of the word I want to use, but something was just missing that made me want to really fall in love with this book. I really don't want to say the word depth, but maybe that's exactly the word I'm looking for. I think it might be the fact that I felt like there was a lack of character depth and it made the story fall a bit flat. But other than that I did really enjoy this book.
I'm giving this book 4 Stars out 5 and can't wait for the next one!!!!
***I received an ARC of this book for my honest opinion***
Holy crap! This was a first for me, getting the story of how an MC starts up. Quinn wanted a brotherhood, a family, a place to belong. So after he got out of jail, he decided to start prospecting for an MC, thinking this would give him what he needs. He has his girl, Kimber, and now the hope of being part of something bigger, that is until the MC turns and takes his girl and leaves him bloody and bruised. Now, Quinn is all about getting his girl back and getting his revenge. With a band of brothers that showed up at his call for help, this group ends up making the family he wanted, the brotherhood that he needed. Will they be able to rescue Kimber and come out on the other side still alive?
A bit different from what we normally get, this was more about the revenge factor and getting the girl back vs the standard meet a girl scenario. I FLOVED this story! Danger, violence, and some super hot naughty bits, the start of this new series was fantastic and left me ready for more! I give this 5 stars.
**************** Review by: Melanie (5 stars)
This was a slightly different read than I am used to from Winter Travers. I'm used to her humour infused stories whereas this is definitely darker with more grit and action but that is in no way a bad thing as I really enjoyed reading the why, the who, and the where of how the Kings of Vengeance came to be. Prospect "Gear"/Quinn gets a harsh reality check into how the MC he had joined works, when a so called brother takes his woman, Kimber, and beats him almost to death. After a few days recovery, and friends coming to his aid, vengeance will be his when he goes to get the woman he loves back while destroying those who betrayed him. A brilliant start to a new series, I can't wait for the next one and give Drop a Gear & Disappear 5 stars.
Outstanding!!! Reading the birth of a new club is new for me and I have to say that this book layed down the ground work in one amazingly well written and quite a rough way. To say that a MC is about loyalty and brotherhood and then to walk into the Rolling Devils MC with that thought in mind just to find out that they are a bunch of...well...I'm at a loss! But when Quinn (Gear) sees the true colors of the men he thought would be brothers, thought that they were what he was looking for, he begins his plans for vengeance. They took what was his and left him on the side of the road for dead. Now, it's payback, and he vows that not a one of them will walk away. With a little help from some friends, the Kings of Vengeance MC is born and they are out for blood.
The characters were so very well written and quite intense. Gear was a prospect for the Rolling Devils until he brought his girl Kimber to one of their parties. The beauty caught the eye of Major, and Major being the total low life slime that he is, tries to put the prospect to work and will take care of his girl. The trouble begins and before we know it, Kimber is being held in a tiny room and Gear is laying on the side of the road somewhere hours away from her. His only thought, to rescue his woman and to kill every last one of the Rolling Devils.
This is one fast paced read that will have you turning the pages quickly to see what will happen next. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I hope that there is more to come because I am so looking forward to seeing where this club will go and how they will get there!
I was given Drop a Gear & Disappear by Winter Travers as an Advanced Readers Copy (ARC) from Enticing Journey Book Promotions. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
I was confused at the beginning of the book, couldn’t get a good feel of the story until Dyno was brought in, Quin and Kimber are good characters but the story was kind of all over the place for the first half, I couldn’t get into it.
Quin aka Gear while he was in the Rolling Devils MC as a prospect thought he found family and friendship that he was missing while in prison.
Within finding a place to live he meets Kimber the girl who lives down the hall from his new possible apartment, instalove at its best. Kimber doesn’t care that he was in prison or why just of who he is now!
Cautious of the MC Kimber does not want to go to any parties, Major a real horrible man wants to mess with Gear so he tries to make a move on Kimber while having Gear clean the toilets, but Gear doesn’t leave Kimber and gets beaten up and almost killed and dropped over 3 hours away from home.
Kimber is going to be sold via human trafficking that the Rolling Devils MC is going to try to make some cash.
Loved spunky Fancy and hard core Dyno and Sledge, the start of the new MC Kings of Vengeance MC was a nice twist.
I am still not thrilled with the entire story so it’s a 3 out of 5 stars from me.
I want to get a hold of the next book in this series to give a better review of the entire project.
Whoa, so much happens in this book in such little time. It might just be me, but this book seemed to move fairly fast, but that was not a bad thing. The story was absolutely crazy good!
Once Quinn got out of prison he yearned for the companionship that an MC could bring him, the brotherhood. One of his prison mates told him about an MC that he knew of and so Quinn looked them up when he was out and started prospecting for them. Thing is, this MC was kinda shitty. Not all of the guys were horrible, but a few of them were absolutely awful and treated their prospects WAY worse than most MCs (not that I would know, but it just seems so).
When Quinn relocated he meet Kimber, who quickly became his girlfriend because 1) she is awesome and 2) she is a 'freak in the bed'. Their chemistry is crazy hot and even though they have only been dating for a bit, they both were head over heels for each other.
Quinn wanted Kimber to accept his life, his brothers, so he invited her to go to a party. This was not really Kimber's scene, but she wanted to make him happy. Unfortunately it did not turn out how either of them expected and left Quinn almost dead and Kimber kidnapped.
This is a story of vengeance, of fighting for those that you love and righting wrongs. It was pretty cool how everything unfolded, but it almost felt as if it was a little easy how everything worked out. Either way, this is a great read that you should check out because it definitely kept my interest and had so crazy twists and turns!
I give this a 4 outta 5 and will look into other books by the author!
PS: I received this book as an ARC in return for my honest review.
At the beginning of the book I was totally confused – I felt like I was starting the story in the middle of it rather than the beginning! But the more I kept reading the more into it I got. While in prison Quinn hears about the Rolling Devils MC and decides to relocate and prospect for them once he’s free. Once in town, he ends up meeting Kimber and they develop a relationship fairly quickly and definitely seem to be falling in love. While Kimber is cautious of the MC, she supports Quinn by attending a party after he continuously asks her to join him. When things go south at the party and Kimber is kidnapped, Quinn take a hard look at what he’s doing and who he can count on and works to get his girl back. After getting over the initial confusion of what I was missing in the beginning of the book, I actually really enjoyed this read and am excited for the start of the series! The flow of the story was great and it was definitely easy to read. I also like that Winter set it up that we become familiar with the secondary characters as they will get their own stories and I cannot wait for those either – especially Fancy and Dyno! I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Quinn needed to be a part of something when he was released from prison. He thought the Rolling Devils MC was the perfect fit. When they beat him and took his girl, he found out how wrong he was. Now he is going to get her back and destroy the scum that tried to take away his whole world.
I have to start this review off by saying I have been dying to get my hands on this book. Once I did, I devoured it in a matter of hours and in one sitting! Winter Travers creates amazing characters that you can't help but fall in love with. Life isn't always easy for them but its worth it in the end when they find their match. Quinn is no exception. Released from prison, he met Kimber and that was it for both of them. She didn't want to come around the club at all but he convinces her to give it a try one night when there was a party. Things go downhill pretty quick and the situation looks dire. I was riveted to the page, hands shaking at the spot these two found themselves in. Quinn doesn't have a moment of doubt; he will stop at nothing to get her back. Kimber's faith in Quinn was awesome to witness. I loved the secondary characters and luckily this is the start of a series. I cannot wait see what happens next! 6 stars for Drop a Gear and Disappear!
I love Kimber and Quinn! I first read their story in the Wanted: An Outlaw Anthology and I was all up in it getting extended/new scenes in this book. Kimber and Quinn are totally relatable characters and I love the fact that Quinn embraces and nurtures his dark side to get his woman free and take revenge on the soul-sucking pieces of flesh he used to call his brothers. The Rolling Devils are so one-star that it isn’t even funny. The only rolling they do is on the floor passed out drunk or rolling up on prospects to bully and abuse them. I get that being a prospect is not a grand adventure and you have to put in your time, but Major takes it to another level. My only regret about this book is that Quinn didn’t make Major suffer MAJORLY and Hog should have been gutted, stuffed and roasted on a pit for being such an indecisive pukey (yes, I’m claiming that as a valid word) human being. Embrace the darkness, my Quinn, obliterate that nest of worthless cockroaches like you’re the Terminix man! I can’t wait to get Petra and Fancy’s story! Dyno is in for a ride with Fancy and I. Can’t. Wait! And little Core...boy, you've got some 'splaining to do and trust to rebuild! Embrace the Kings of Vengeance where vengeance is not a word, it’s a calling!
I loved this book in the Wanted Anthology and then when I found out that it was extended …. HAPPINESS EXPLOSION!!!
This book is about Quinn and Kimber. They are the absolute best couple that I have read in a while (I know, I say that a lot … but I like them all!!!). Quinn gives his trust to those that he shouldn’t have, and Kimber ends up in the crossfire, but he doesn’t stop. He goes full throttle to save her and will cut a path of vengeance against those that betrayed him and took what they should not have.
Dang but is Quinn just perfect! He is a total alpha male, but he also has a sweet side that he gives to Kimber. But don’t unleash the darkness in him, because it will reign hell down on those that unleash it. He totally took the bull by the horns in his book. And Kimber … totally biker babe material all the way.
The author added some great extra scene’s that included the secondary characters, to which I really liked. I am totally looking forward to what comes next. So, if you are looking to read a new MC series that some badassery from the get go? Then get this book … you will NOT be disappointed! Two thumbs up from me and happy reading!
