Steal away on a romantic getaway to Italy and the Amalfi Coast!

He's a successful entrepreneur who almost has it all. She's the long-ago crush—the girl who got away. When they meet again, fireworks explode once more, but will a buried secret steal their chance for a happy ending?

Troy Thurlow let the girl of his dreams get away fourteen years ago, back when he was a high school football star. Now he’s a highly successful executive with a life most people only dream about, but he's never stopped thinking about Jasmine and wondering what would have happened if he'd ever had the courage to ask her on a date. When he meets her by chance, Troy is determined to snatch at the opportunity—that is if his past doesn't catch up with him first . . .

Jasmine Cervantes does “happily ever after” for a living, arranging dream-destination honeymoons for the fabulously rich and famous. But, so far, her own fairy-tale ending has eluded her—until the boy she couldn’t stop dreaming about in high school barges unexpectedly into her office.

When the two begin a whirlwind romance on the romantic coast of Italy, Jasmine begins to believe their love is real, but Troy is hiding something that could change everything . . . will that buried secret steal their second chance at a happy ending?

Kimberley Montpetit once spent all her souvenir money at the La Patisserie shops when she was in Paris—on the arm of her adorable husband. The author grew up in San Francisco, another swoon-worthy city, loves all things Parisian and chocolate and lives in a small town along the Rio Grande with her family.

Kimberley has won many awards for her work, including the Southwest Book Award, the Whitney Award, the Arizona/New Mexico Book Award, is a Crystal Kite Finalist (SCBWI) and included in the Bank Street College Best Books of the Year.

She once stayed in a haunted castle tower room at Borthwick Castle in Scotland, sailed on the Seine in Paris, walked the beaches of Normandy, eaten in numerous French cafes, ridden a camel in Petra, Jordan, sunbathed on Waikiki, shopped the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul, and spent the night in an old Communist hotel in Bulgaria.

She adores all baked goodies; brownies, éclairs, donuts, tarts, and pie, and makes a lot of chocolate chip cookies while revising.

Kimberley is, of course, hard at work on her next novel(s).

It’s always fun when I get to pick up a book that I want to read. And it’s even better when I enjoy it as much as I hope I will!

I loved Jasmine in this book. At first glance, she has the best job ever. She’s a honeymoon planner for the rich and famous. But as she goes through the book, I realized that it wouldn’t be as much fun as it seemed like it would be at first. Jasmine wouldn’t be the one taking the trip. And the people she worked with were about the most demanding people on earth.

Jasmine herself is about the most down to earth person you’d ever meet, er…read about. She works in an office in New York City and lives in a teeny tiny apartment. I loved everything about her. I could just picture her walking the streets of New York, going to midnight showings of classic movies. I think I’d like her if she was real.

Troy is a great character as well. I liked the way he came back into Jasmine’s life. And made a place for himself there. I liked the way this book has his point of view as well as Jasmine’s.

It was interesting to me that there was never a hint of what the secret was from either of the characters, until it was revealed. Normally you see hints in the thoughts of one of the characters.

I loved the plot of this one. Everything about the Italy stuff was so fun! I felt almost like I was there. Make sure to read this one!

A beautiful, sweet & swoon worthy story 🥰 I couldn’t help myself - I half fell in love with the hero myself! Although there are some bumps along the way for these two lovebirds, they didn’t mess around once they were reunited. I loved how this was a “the one who got away” story & of course bringing into the story characters from other books was great. Although it can be read as a stand-alone I always like to read the other books in the series ☺️
I can definitely recommend this clean, feel good read!

Different

This book is a modern version of Jane Eyre.
Okay. The "secret" wasn't anything. Her reaction was ridiculous. I almost quit reading the book. But I trudged on. It just got over the top. A little too much. But the book was written well and had a happily ever after, so life is good.

The Fiance's Secret is a well-written second chance romance. Jasmine had always wanted Troy to ask her out in high school while Troy always wished he had the courage to ask her out. They were each "the one that got away" for the other. They meet by chance and have a whirlwind romance. Both characters are likable. Troy is especially romantic and wants to do everything possible to make Jasmine happy. I can understand why Jasmine was so upset over Troy's secret. There is an incredible HEA in spite of it. Part of the story takes place in NYC and then on the Amalfi Coast of Italy. I would recommend this book to clean, wholesome romance readers and to Christian romance readers if they can overlook the married for eternity that is very lightly touched on. I read this story through KU.

You don't always get second chances, so when her secret high school crush takes an interest in her years later, Jasmine Cervantes takes the chance and begins her relationship with Troy Thurlow. Jasmine is a honeymoon planner and has been through everything with couples, so with Troy, she is determined to make it work. Troy is charming and wealthy, is he too good to be true? Will his secret destroy their chance at happiness?? Kimberley Montpetit knows how to write a sweet romance, sucking me in and investing my heart in the outcome of the couple. This one is no exception. Troy immediately struck my fancy with his sweet words, his good looks and just the idea of the high school quarterback is something that makes every girl's heart swoon. Jasmine to me is too patient and nice, and I want her to scream!!!! But she is a cool one! This is a fun listen, the sites are magnificent and the love one to I easily fell for.

Narrated by the talented Sarah Sampino, this story flew by. She always gives a performance where the characters seem real, and could be our friends and the emotions perfectly fit the story. I enjoy her and this was a wonderful listen.

Enjoyable second chance romance

Rating: 4.5 stars

What I liked and my thoughts about this book:

• Jasmine and Troy met in high School in Denver, Colorado. They never dated. But they had crushes on each other. Fourteen years later, they meet again. What will happen?
• I wondered, what part of a person's past history is a deal breaker? Is it the event or is it because they didn't tell you?
• The descriptions of places were so well done that I felt like I was touring Italy.
• There were many secondary players in this novel. They were varied, well developed, and interesting, and they added depth to the storyline.
• The pacing of this story was good. It was neither too fast nor too slow.
• There was a smooth, coherent flow to this book. The author's writing style was descriptive, clear, and concise.
• This was a clean read and I appreciated that.
• There were some small editing errors, but they did not detract from the book.
• This was an enjoyable second chance romance and I recommend this book.

Jasmine has the life she loves, busy with planning honeymoons for the rich and famous, she seldom has time to think about the absence of love in her own life.

One afternoon as she is talking to a famous movie star who demands the impossible, a strange man walks into her office. No one ever walks into her office without an appointment. While on the phone with this diva she is trying to get this man out of her office, she finally puts the woman on hold and demands that here PA escort him from the building. When she returns to the phone she found the star had hung up on her.

She talks to her assistant and finds the man has left his card on the corner of her desk. This man turns out to be a guy she had gone through high school with and one she had had a crush on as a teenager. Well he has gone now, but she can't forget about him.

Read the story and find out how they meet up again, and if they really fall in love again. I think you'll enjoy the story as much as I did

“The Fiance’s Secret: A Secret Billionaire Romance, Book 6” by Kimberley Montpetit
I received a free copy of this audiobook. I really enjoyed listening to this story as it was a fun fantasy adventure. I know we read fiction to take us places and let us be apart of a world other than our own. I am not sure if it was the narration or the story which kept me from quite getting all the way into this story. Or, maybe it was just me. Because I did enjoy my time within this story and I will be looking for another opportunity to read other offerings from this author and narrator. Happy Reading ! !

Whose Honeymoon?

Jasmine and Troy wasted many years, but maybe they weren't wasted, because the time allowed both to get their feet on the ground, their careers established, their future hopefully planned.
Jasmine copes with a demanding honeymoon client while the two try to plan their own wedding and honeymoon, which is nearly derailed by Troy's unhappy past.
Montpetit, a superb writer, does her usual good work.
Recommended for all readers of clean billionaire romance and, indeed, all clean romance.

Romance, clean; series but stand alone read
Second chance romance, cute setting and back story. A Jane Eyre type retelling with twists.
Fun, cute romance. They were a sweet couple. The drama in the twist at the end seemed a bit forced and didn't flow great for me, but with the HEA, who cares... still a fun quick escape read. A nice addition to this series.
Both Troy and Jasmine were honest hearts, looking for the one that got away and for a new start. Fun chemistry and romance with them, in some lush wonderful settings. They were a great match!

The Fiancés Secret (A Secret Billionaire Romance Bk6)

I thoroughly enjoyed this book but would not have managed to contend with Diva Ava - I would have definitely lost the job or murdered her! She was a Bitch! I knew there had to be a big BUT somewhere along the way of Troy and Jasmines wedding. Everything was too good to be true. No man can hang on for 14 years for goodness sake without dipping his pen somewhere!!!!! Good ending. Can’t wait to read the other two books with Caleb and the boys. Excellent read.

This was my first audio book and I'm not sure I really liked it. I prefer to read my books. I usually like sweet love stories but this one seemed more cheesy than normal. Jasmine drove me crazy. Troy's secret was no big deal and the fact she fell apart, had me rolling my eyes and shaking my head. Maybe because I was listening to the book instead of reading it. I'm not sure, but the story fell flat. I've read so many books this year that were so much better. However, the audio version did keep me awake during my long drive this past weekend.

Enjoy this fun whirlwind second chance romance

They say good things come to those who wait! The Fiancé’s Secret is proof that it’s true. When Troy sees Jasmine unexpectedly it seems his dreams are coming true. There are certainly a few bumps along the way. But in true romantic fashion it all works out at last. I love how Troy puts Jasmine first and shows her how much she means to him. I love their whirlwind romance. It’s a fun and intense story with a truly happy ending.

I enjoyed listening to The Fiance's Secret on YouTube. Jasmine Cervantes job planning destination honeymoons for the wealthy may sound like a fun job but it can be demanding! Troy Thurlow has never forgotten Jasmine since they graduated from high school 14 years ago. They run into each other in New York City and begin a whirlwind romance! But Jasmine does not know Troy's secret! You will enjoy this fast paced romance despite the demands of Jasmine's clients.

Jasmin Cervantes works planning honeymoons for the rich and famous. She has never forgotten her high school friend, Troy Thurlow and when he shows up unannounced in her office while she’s on the phone, she throws him out. Then they meet unplanned at a movie theater. After a whirlwind few weeks dating they decide to marry. The only wrinkle is something he neglected to tell her about his past. This is a wonderful story about love, forgiveness, and commitment.

Honeymoon in Amalfi

Beautiful coastline. Blue seas. Gorgeous girl. What more could a guy ask for? This book was full of Italian tidbits and romance. Reality and love for our working couple trying to get back together after loving each other since their high school years. Great book.

This is the first book I've read by Kimberley Montpetit, but I will definitely be reading more by her.
This is the story of Jasmine and Troy - they each had a secret crush on the other during high school, but it will be 14 years later before they run into each other. The story has a HEA and is a clean read.

Troy and Jasmine had a secret crush on each other but never made a movement. Fourteen years later they bump into each other in New York. Can they have a second chance in happiness? Will Troy, now a billionaire, keep a secret from Jasmine that will turn them apart? A sweet love story about second chances and true love. I received this book for free.

Troy and Jasmine secretly crushed on each other in high school. They run into each other years later - pretty funny reunion. Will they take a chance on love this time? They were adorable. At first I was a little upset at his secret but the author did a great job of helping me see (along with Jasmine) that it wasn't a deal breaker. Great ending.

What a lovely story of two people that liked each other in high school, but never let it show. But fourteen years later and in a distant city, they find one another by chance and the attraction is stronger than ever. It is so much fun to read, but also has ups and downs, misunderstandings, and heartache. The ending is fabulous! I highly encourage you to read this book!

Sweet Romance

Troy and Jasmine have loved each other for years and never really given each other a chance. But, then they are thrown together twice and decide to go for it. I personally think her little fit was ridiculous, and all the mentions of the fancy credit card, but otherwise a pretty good story.

The Honeymoon planner to the rich gets her HEA

Jasmine works for a company that provides the ultimate honeymoon for the wealthy. Troy inadvertently walks into her office. She doesn't recognize Troy then kicks him out. He leaves his card and she remembers him and how she had a crush on him 14 years earlier in high school. Since high school, Troy and his friend have created billion dollar company. Both have regrets about the other. I like that they started with building a friendship again. The different settings were interesting. I've really enjoyed reading this author. Montpetit is good at descriptive writing and pulling the reader into her books.

Okay

I don't know if it's just because I had such a connection to a previously read book, or if I just am not in the mood for a novel such as this one- but I did not feel the pull to this novel that I normally do when I am reading a new novel. I will definitely have to try again later.

Pretty sweet, a bit melodramatic at times. I love Kimberley's easy, light romances with a bit of a twist, and this series about the guys from DREAMS vetting their girls is a real treat. It doesn't hurt that Italy and the Naples region are very near and dear to me. The Audiobook reading is pretty good too.

Second chances and stand coming true

I liked it. The story was sweet and idyllic for most of it, things did get a bit messy at the end, but then, most stories do.

The characters were likable and the story entertaining.
