Book 1
While the Stormborn gang is all there, this story focuses mostly on Fadis, like that title wasn't a clue. :P

I love the character growth of Fadis in this story. He goes from thinking he knows exactly what his quest has set him to do, to understanding the bigger picture at hand, and the part that his son plays in it. Overall this felt like a turning point book for a lot of the characters, in realizing where their fate/path.

I wasn't a fan of the weird "last time on Stormborn" vibe that the re-into to all the characters in the first chapter had. But I think that is a personal reader preference of mine and I know this is like a trilogy inside a saga so it's probably needed.

The battle and all the characters that come into play during are legit. Love how JT Williams tells a story, he is so good at foreshadowing and leaving you many trails to follow. This book might have answered some questions, but it opened up many more about the characters and world in general.

Book 2
There was so much action packed into this stretch of the Stormborns adventure the crew had to spit up to take it all on. It was fascinating to be able to know what was going on in both places instead of having to wait to read that adventure in another book.

This book contains more character growth, and we discover much more about the world and the fate of the stormborn. It's thrilling to be able to ride this adventure with Valrin even though I already know his fate from reading the Half-Elf books.

I seriously adore the relationship that is building between Fadis and his son! All too often we see the opposite relationship happen in Fantasy.

Book 3
Aieclo hurt my heart.

Fadis and Aeveam were forefront in this book and both of them are favorites of mine. I was screaming at the pages many times during the final chapters. I don't want to give spoilers but this book felt like a pivotal turning point in the Stormborn series.

With each book the crew of the Aela Sunrise have personal battles, along with the main battle of the book which I love. Every person feels like a main character, so within Aieclo, there was a lot of sorrow.

Having read books that come much later in the chain of events I'm beside myself with wondering how Valrin will wrangle all the craziness in, and what happens to every crew member to lead him to where he is in Half-Bloods Rising.

If you're looking for an epic series that spans the world, follows many characters and tugs at all the emotions, this is one you're going to want to dive into

Straight forward Fantasy adventure

The book is a good Fantasy adventure story. The story is about a boy finding his way to becoming a man. I find the world that is created in this book solid and interesting. I found myself very involved with the characters. Basically a good read. So why not 4 stars. Its more like a young adult type, Devoid of adult interaction. I just felt that the book could have used a little more romance.

JT does it again with this boxset of the Ranger Trilogy. The world he has built is full
of magic and adventure, with challenges for his characters to overcome. This is Epic
Fantasy at its best, I recommend it to everyone who enjoys it.

Good read

I thoroughly enjoyed the story lines. I’m a lover of the twists and turns! Im also a grammatical novice, so I had a bit of trouble getting caught up in a few of those misdirections as well. Overall, though, good read.

Not Good At All

Combine terrible grammar with abysmal use of the English language, add a few typos, and you end up with a veritable dog's dinner. That's the best way to describe this rubbish. At least I didn't pay anything for it.

Compelling
This box set is fantastic. Part of what makes it so good is the fact you don't have to wait for the next book to be released.

The Ranger, Fadis' story of his past and his search for his son, with the assistance of the crew of Aela Sunrise. What will he do to protect the ones he loves?
Another action packed story in the Stormborn series. JT Williams has a way with a story that keeps you engaged in the story line while building the storyline.

Just finished Ranger's Fury so I'm going to leave a review on that one first and update as I complete the individual titles.

I absolutely loved getting back into the world with Valrin and his companions! This one was a little bit different as we got to see different character view points which I really enjoyed. We saw events happening from Fadis and Valrin even though their experiences lined up and helped close gaps on the story. We got to see more from Fadis and learn a little bit more of his back story than in the first Stormborn Saga which was nice. The battle scenes here were absolutely epic! It was so fast paced and there was so much action! Non-stop! Swords, magic, elves, dwarves, humans, trees! Oh my! If you loved the first Stormborn Saga, definitely pick this one up, it will not disappoint!

**Update**

Finished book 2 and holy crap! What a wild ride this one sends you on! Epic battles of massive proportions of all races! Dark and gritty, insanely quick paced and packed with action. The energy of Black Moon just jumps off the page at you and grabs you by the eyeballs and steals you into it! I'm a slow reader and it takes me awhile to get through books but man, I just really didn't want to put this one down. In fact, I started Aieclo already thinking I was still reading Black Moon only to realize I was already on Part 2 of Aieclo! JT never disappoints!

**Final Update**

Woah! What a fantastic ending! The story woven into the ending of this book is nothing short of awesome. The characters have continued to grow throughout this entire trilogy and it's been so much fun to watch each individuals story arc throughout the trilogy. Aeveam is a very interesting and strong character who has a ton of intrigue. We kind of lose sight a bit of Valrin in the last book but he doesn't need to be a central character for it to be fantastic. I felt Aieclo was darker in tone and even a bit darker than what I'm used to but I thoroughly enjoyed it still.

After finishing this trilogy, I will continue to praise JT for his work. His writing is wonderful, his world development is clearly well thought out, and the character development is top notch. If all of these things appeal to you and you love mixed race world that includes elves, orcs, humans, Gods, and who all knows what else I'm leaving out, than don't hesitate to pick these up!
