My peace I give you. . . Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. (John 14:27) A friend once said that to have a child is to have your heart walk around outside your body for the rest of your life. Joy and pride share heart room with worry and anxious moments. Whether it’s sickness, safety, school, friends, their choices (or ours), making ends meet as a single mom, or other storms you never planned to face, our hearts have plenty of opportunities to feel stretched or troubled. Yet God wants us to have the abundance of motherhood, not the fear! He will not always take away the storms but He promises us His peace in the midst of them. It doesn’t matter if our children are infants, adults, or somewhere in in this daily devotional we’ll discover the biblical direction to become a woman of serenity and delight in all seasons and have impact for generations to come.

This was a beautifully published book that refreshed my mornings and helped me get focused on God. I enjoyed the personal stories and the journal that accompanied. Reflecting on motherhood and what God is teaching me has helped me process through changes and growth. I look forward to reading more from her.
Excellent devotional by Shaunti Feldhahn, the second one I have worked through in the past two years. I chose this one for myself specifically for the transitions I've been going through with my young adult children and I found the content to be relevant and up lifting. I genuinely looked forward to each entry and found Feldhahn's writing to be engaging and honest. She often shares her own experiences as a parent and I could easily relate to her messages. I will most likely pick up her other "Find" devotionals in the future.
Awesome! Encouraging and forthcoming! Every mom needs this! We always think we aren't doing enough or aren't the best moms. It's ok to not have it all together! I read this in some of my hardest days this year. I was so moved and am looking forward to more from this author! ❤
I love Shaunti’s devotionals. They are so beautiful and always point back to scripture. They’re not “feel good” devotions but instead, take our struggles and show us how God is always with us in them.
I enjoy that she uses stories to make points because they’re easy to remember.
