Windward Triad1

Keller Thorne is a graduate of the school of hard knocks. Raised through the foster system, Kell expected his life to be anything but easy—but he never expected to be swept off his feet by a handsome alpha shifter. Sure, stranger things have happened…but why to him?

Enter the illusive Johnny Oaks. A Brit living on Boston, Johnny has chosen the reclusive life of a werewolf practicing hedge magic. As a Child of the Moon, Johnny has split ways from the opposing magic faction—the witches. However, Johnny’s childhood friend, Ash, is now on the witches’ side, a betrayal he can never forget.

Now an outcast, Johnny has fled to America where he inevitably catches scent of Kell. Meanwhile, an organization known as the Vigil is on the hunt to eliminate anyone who isn’t human, putting both of their lives on the line. And Kell’s their next target.

Nothing could’ve prepared Kell for this strange new world of magic and shifters. Most importantly, he can’t pry himself away from Johnny—an alpha who’s taken a liking to his stubborn demeanor. But even with the world against them, Kell can’t pull himself away from Johnny and his mysterious ways.

Learning that he himself is a Child of the Moon, Kell now must embrace his role as the Windward. With his fate split between two factions—wolves and witches— Kell must decide if his fiery nature is enough to seek the right path. As for Johnny, resisting his alpha instincts might be too much to handle while Kell blooms into an omega.

Escaping the Vigil is one thing—but keeping his hands off Kell is might be too much to ask.

Total Score: 5/5

Summary:
Keller’s life has never been easy. Growing up in the foster care world was bad enough, but it seemed misfortune all followed him around. Bad things happened in his presence leaving him to take the blame. In all that time he only had one friend Carson who stayed by him even after he was adopted. The years were hard leaving Keller on the outside watching others lives pass him by until the day he was attacked and he ran into Johnny, a man with very interesting abilities like hiding in plain sight. You see there is more to the world than Keller ever thought and he is about to enter the paranormal world where anything is possible. Keller and Johnny embark on journey that will lead them through a fight between paranormal societies, possible death form a group that hates all paranormal beings, but most important a chance at a love they both hunger for above all else.

This was a wonderful start to an intricate and creative new series.

In this world of supernatural there are two groups that have been at war for generations; “The Pack” – werewolves, and witches – “Children of the Moon”. The war between the two groups has gone on so long that no one really knows what they are fighting for. And even though the two groups fight each other, they have one common enemy that seeks to control and destroy them; this is group call themselves “Vigil”.

Keller (Kell), twenty-one had gone through numerous foster homes as a child. There were weird things that happened around Kell and he never knew why. His emotion of anger seemed to manifest these strange events that Kell had no control over. Though naïve to why things happened to him, he always had a threat of wonder if it was magic.

Well it is magic and not knowing this Keller was stalked by the Vigil’s waiting to get him cornered. Once cornered then Kell knew they meant to kill him. Getting away from them was one of these miracle happenings when an A/C fell from above and hitting the three men below. Keller ran to his friend’s apartment that was next to his. Not even there was he safe and ran for his life once again when they came after him.

In Keller’s flee to get away from his enemies he literally runs into Johnny, a British werewolf, but also had magic. A werewolf and having magic was consider a crime for not choosing one of the sides to be, so Johnny was always careful were he travelled. The two were perfect for each other. They went through dangerous episodes that almost killed them.

The book is exciting and driven that kept me wanting to read more. Just when you think the impossible position the two were in and they would never be free, strong magic from Keller changes everything. These few sentences are just a glimpse where it all began and there is so much more to the book. I love Noah Harris’s book and he didn’t disappointment with this one. I look forward to Book 2. This is such an original story. The mix of witches, wolves and the very different concept of ‘wards’ is intoxicating.
Kell’s Life hasn’t been easy, going through the foster system, not to mention the strange things that happen when he gets angry. But things are about to get even worse when he literally runs into a handsome stranger while fleeing for his life. Taken under the stranger, Johnny’s, wing and protected from his human attackers, Kell’s adventures are only just beginning. Slowly he begins to find out not only about the supernatural world but his own place in it. Johnny has struggled as well, forced to choose one side of his dual nature and ostracised by the other, he’s become a loner. Until Kell runs into him!
Kell and Johnny are great characters, instantly engaging and loveable. The plot Noah Harris weaves is different from anything I’ve read recently and the world he creates is intriguing, mysterious and beautifully described. The support characters are few but actively add to the enfolding action.
This has a bit of everything. Romance, heat, action, and emotion all wrapped up in a page turner of a book. I read an advance reader copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest and unbiased review.

The Wizard Wolf: WindWard
“Earth shaking and ground breaking” that is exactly describe what happened in this story to all the parties and the main characters. I LOVED IT SO MUCH, It’s unique novel, not just sweet love story, it’s also full of mysteries, suspense, little bit action and hot sex as well (a complete work of art). I read it twice, and I can’t get enough of it. I loved everything about it, the interesting title, the cover (OMG!), the developing and building up of the story and characters, Very well written. (By the way it could be a very good movie, maybe one day).
It's very good line in writing, I liked how it kept my mind puzzled, wondered and occupied with questions all along. And every time before I get answers, more questions popped into my mind, and now after I read it, still have some unanswered questions. I hope to have answers in the next one.

The Wizzard Wolf by Noah Harris is the first book in the new WindWard series. Its filled with wierewolves' witches, magic, and paranormal goodness. I was impressed by the character and world-building that the author has created for the reader to get trapped in.

I like Kell and Johnny as the main characters but I'm ready for the Triad to happen. Also not the usual shifter dynamic between an Alpha and Omega (if Kell is even one) mates maybe that will happen when Ash comes into the story.

Can a witch be a werewolf?

Traditionally not, it seems. But Kell and Johnny are about to shake the bonds of that tradition. Nicely, of course.

The book was very boring. I skipped through most of it and had to give up around the 80% mark. I felt no emotional connection with the male characters and no chemistry between them either.

Great new shifter series.

On running for his life from 3 members of the Vigil who are intent on murdering him , Keller literally runs into Brit John Francis Oakes who magically cloaks him from sight . Keller learns the man is a werewolf with magic and that the Vigil is a purist group intent on wiping out non humans. The pair end up on the run as Johnny explains everything in depth and that Kell is possibly a Windward ( effecting and influencing weather , telekinesis etc. ) but being in foster care he wouldn't have known this and that not only does the Vigil want him dead but most of the supernatural world wants him captured for more power to aid in their war .
What ensues is the pair fighting for their lives on the run , escaping and trying to evade capture and imprisonment and magical battles from everyone trying to get the bounty. This creates a strong bond and increased emotions between them as the tension and action sails along at a heart stopping pace as Kell starts to develop his powers.
After a shocking and massive show of power from Kell , 2 of the warring sides realise change is in order to maintain their way of life and a large learning curve is had by all. Kell has another life changing event much to Johnnys relief and a couple of old friends turn up at the end. The calm before the storm perhaps. A great storyline stuffed full of action and emotions , laying the foundations for what appears to be another epic series. Well written and descriptive. I received a free advanced copy of this book and was not required to leave a review.

This was a fun read. it had wolves, witches, magic with a bit of romance. It was a bit of a slow burn before any romance happened between both characters. Kellar had always found himself in odd situations and his life anything but boring. It seemed like trouble had a way of finding him no matter how hard he tried to get away from it. It went from a stalker ex boyfriend to being followed and stalked by strangers he has never seen before and when hes finally attacked by 3 big men in a alley he knows he cant go home and then they find him and he finds himself running again, running right into a wolf/witch named Johnny. When he met Johnny, his finds that his whole life was a life and all along he thought he was a human with the worse luck ever when he ended up being more than that and Johnny was going to Dow whatever it took to protect from the ones called the virgil who are trying to kill him and anyone like him.At the same time they cant seem to ignore the strong pull between one another but a wolf could never be fully satisfied with someone who is a ward. Johnny knows eventually his wolf will be in search of an omega, only an omega can fully give him that bong his wolf desires but Johnny still cant ignore the strong connection he feels toward kell.Theres more than just this keeping them apart though. There are many people after them. I enjoyed this story and felt like the characters were well developed and it was very action packed and held my interest most of the time. I read this one in one sitting.

I was absolutely enthralled by this excellent MM shifter romance. The plot is well-written & full of intrigue with unusual & unexpected events. The unique characters are quite complex as they struggle with personal & emotional issues while trying to find acceptance in an unforgiving world. The secondary characters play a good supporting role.
There is: a twenty-two yr old man brought up in various foster homes notices strange things happen when he gets angry (Keller Thorne aka Kell), a outcast alpha flees to America & comes into contact with Kell (John Francis Oakes), an organization prepared to kill anyone not human (The Vigil), a rather strange & unusual enemy yet at times a friend (Alyssa), werewolves, witches, covens magic, mystery, twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, danger, enemies, threats, stalkers, assailants, instincts, loneliness, confrontations, illusions, memories, attractions, strange abilities, conflict, explanations, choices, battles, carnage, powers, fury, righteous justice, awe, fear, demands, anger, apologies, verbal banter, a immunity letter, hope, acceptance, shifting, happiness, contentment, love, some steam & a well-earned satisfying epilogue,
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this shifter romance and would recommend it to people who enjoy reading this genre. I sincerely doubt that you would be disappoint in this book.

This was such an interesting book. I liked the different take on witches and werewolves being two separate clans and even having a human factor with the Vigil working against them both.

I loved the characters as well. They both seemed to jump off the pages for me. Kell is an energetic, upbeat young man who grew up in foster care and has often had strange things happen around him when he’s gotten angry. Johnny is a werewolf who still had access to deeper magic even though he chose to be a wolf over being a witch. When the Vigil comes after Kell, Johnny saves him and they go on the run together. Eventually they are also hunted down by the witches and werewolves as well. With Kell only just learning of magic and the true depths of the power he may possess, it’s an action filled ride to see who will get Kell to fight for them or if Vigil will take them all down in the process.

The relationship between Kell and Johnny was very believable and so well done. The teasing and banter they had was so natural. I loved seeing them interacting and coming closer together through all the different obstacles thrown their way. If you like magic and werewolves, definitely pick this one up!

This is the first in the Windward Triad. This review covers all three books. Noah has created a unique mmm/mpreg shifter world. The Wards are a new twist on Guardians. Having fallen to almost mythical status, it shocks everyone when a new Ward, the Windward, shows up. The magic coven, the shifter council, and the human hunters are all after control of the Windward. If they can't have him, they want him dead. These books are filled with vibrant characters so full of life, they leap off the pages. They will pull you into their story. All the drama, set-backs, loyal friends, old and new enemies, will leave you breathless and begging for more. And the sex! Hot in the first book, scorching in the next two.
These books are meant to be read in order. There are cliffhangers. There is violence. There is mm sex, and then mmm sex. Lots of sex. HEA? Yes. Cute babies? Yes. No spoilers here. You have read the blurbs.
I loved these books! You will want to continue reading, one after the other. When you are done, you'll want more. You won't want to say goodbye to what are now, old friends.
This book contains language, violence, and steamy MM/MMM sex, and mpreg. It is intended for mature 18+ readers.

As he tries to get away an air conditioner falls from one of the building separating him from his attackers and he makes the most of it ti get away. Instead of going home he goes to his friend Carson's apartment which is next door. He arrives just as Carson was leaving for work but he is told to make himself at home. Later her hears a bang and realizes that the door to his apartment has been force open and he could hear people searching the rooms but when he notices they are coming back into the hallway and start bang at the door to Carson's he goes out onto the balcony and down the fire escape. Running through the crowded street he notices they are still following and suddenly he collides with another man who does something to hide them. AUDIO Review Narrated Kevin Earlywine
🎧 5 stars. I loved this narrative different vocals were beautifully used. The British voice of Johnny was gorgeous hearing it for an Aussie gal..
📕 4 stars.. A great story for love and paranormal begins against each other. The witch coven at war with the Vigil people looking to take over with Johnny and Kell on the outskirts. But trouble comes for both MCs and their lives at stake until Kell does something to blow their minds, yah there's some bad scenes there and feels for Kell. I loved listening to this audio, I don't know if I'd read the book solely to what my rating would have been yah recommend the audio version.

Kell was a people watcher studying there behaviors as a foster kid now an adult. When confronted with attackers he runs he's used to strange things happening and forewarnings, little did he know the paranormal world were after him.

Johnny was a wolf witch being at the right place for Keller, and scented someone he liked. The Vigil were after Kell but Kell didn't know about magic's and such.

Thank you for the ARC read, I voluntarily give this book an honest review. Keller was just chilling people watching, when a group of guys come for him. Running in to Johnny may have either been the best or worst moment of his life. He learns that their really are witch and shifters, the paranormal world becomes more than a fairytale when he became the target for those who are trying to destory it. Johnny had to help the guy in front of him when all his sense went on alert when he smelled him, only he didn't won't to drag Keller in to his messed up life. When Johnny tells him about the supernatural world and that he is a windward Keller has no idea what is store for him. Can Johnny teach him everything he needs in time? Can Kell get Johnny to accept both side to himself before he tares his self apart from the inside out.
This was just an amazing love story of the supernatural kind, I just fell in love with Keller and Johnny with both their struggles and finally the Love that show.thank you Noah for a totally different and new amazing read on the paranormal world.

Kell was out people watching which was one of his favorite things to do. What wasn't his favorite is the need to run for his life. He ran into Johnny...literally and was told the Vigil was after him. Not wanting to stand around and people watch the Vigil, they decide to run...together. Thus starts a saga of running and trying to keep themselves from being killed by three different groups who either want them dead or wants the power that Johnny told Kell he had. Johnny had power of his own of magic. Being a wolf he wasn't supposed to have magic anymore, but he does and the coven wants him dead because of it and so does the wolves. Their lives gets tougher all the time. How are they going to find themselves in this maze of trouble. how do they get to the HFN that they seek and will other questions be answered in the next book in this series? I certainly am going to read it to find out what happens to these two powerful men in their continued saga of powerful magic, fighting factions and maybe find out what happened to Ash and Carson, their friends.

Keller is an adorable character and I want to follow him anywhere. He is funny and tragic and has untapped power he doesn't know about. His partner, Johnny is strongly optimistic and also has a tragic past.

So I liked the world building, it is a different take on the witch/werewolf dynamic, even if it includes an apocalypse. I did have a little trouble with plausibility in a few scenes. If you're running for your life, it makes sense to run and not stand talking about running. The bad guys also found them a bit too easily and too often.

There are some intriguing loose ends, like the twins and Ash. Alyssa is great and the HFN ending was expected. While this isn't my fave story from this author, it's still an okay read.

I really liked the opening and ending of Kell and Johnny's perilous adventures. Both MCs also had sad but compelling backstories and Johnny particularly was a heartbreakingly sympathetic, self-sacrificing character. Despite these positives, the bulk of the story dragged and just did not excite me, chases, pitched battles and a steamy scene or two notwithstanding. Despite all of the action in the plot, all of the magic, paranormal worldbuilding and explanations for Kell's benefit distracted from the bonding and romance which, for me, is the best part of the story!

I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.

This is another great series from Noah Harris. It is full of witches, wolves, covens and packs that don't get along, deceitfulness, suspense, love, and alpha/ Omega hotness. I could not stop reading it. The wizard wolf is the first book of the series and where Johnny and Kell first meet each other. They are constantly running from danger, and Johnny is trying to keep Kell safe while denying he has feeling for Kell. Kell is trying to figure out why strange things keep happening around him when he is upset, while trying to run from people who are out to get him. Johnny's thinks he might be understanding what Kell really is and what he is truly capable of... He just has to figure out if Kell is worth the danger he keeps finding himself in and the effort it will take to help Kell.

Kell’s life is turned upside down when he gets attacked in the alley. He runs into Johnny and together they try to stay ahead of those that want to harm or control them.

Can Kell fill the emptiness in Johnny’s heart?

This was a good read but the slow pace made things drag out longer than necessary.

Kell and Johnny have a strong pull but somewhere along the way it became weaker and lacked the intensity it had in the beginning.

The ending was sweet but felt rushed especially, when as things started getting more interesting between Kell and Johnny.

Well I’m certainly glad the story continues on with the same couple in the next books. A lot was left to be discovered including a third to Johnny and Kell. I have to admit that I wouldn’t have picked this up had I known Ash was going to come into their life, although it makes a sort of sense seeing as how Johnny is a bit wrapped up in him. I don’t know. I’m sure it ends well but I like my mate books with just 2 and not a third. For that reason, I probably won’t continue on in the series. It’s interesting and I do think if a threesome in your mate books doesn’t bother you then I really think it would be a great read.

This book is the beginning of a promising series and I can't wait to see what will happen between Kell and Johnny in the other book. This book was filled with lots of exciting scenes from the time we meet Kell and it doesn't ease up 'til we reach the end of the book. We meet Johnny Kell's love interest and three groups that refuse to leave these guys in peace. They just can't seem to catch a break until the final culmination. As I said an exciting read.

I give this book 4 and a half stars.

A wonderful new take on shifters, as it intertwines the world of wizards and magic!

The MC’s are well written. Kell, a young man put through the ringer with is share of foster homes, knows he’s always been different. When emotions run high, things happen that cause his foster families not to keep him around for extended time frames.

Johnny, who I’ll call a lone wolf, made a difficult decision as a boy, that left him to his own devices. Traveling the world, the US keeps beckoning him to seek out his mate.

These guys have palpable chemistry from the get go...recommended!

So good〽🎇🐺

I always enjoy this authors books and this one is no different. The cover is beautiful and so is The story, as it flows effortlessly from sweetness to emotional angst and intense dialogue.
I like that this was a fresh take on magic and shifters so I was intrigued by what was going to happen. It was well detailed with great characters that I enjoyed reading about and which hooked me from the first page. Can't wait for more as this is the 1st in the series, and I'm looking forward to the next. Very good book

I really enjoyed reading this. It was so different and off the normal spectrum of what I read and what I expected from this author. I was taken away to another realm and I was captivated by the Gloom and the war and the family dynamics of Johnny. I liked Kell's roll with it attitude and his having to adjust to Johnny and his crew and learning all about magic and shifters. I hope there is more to their story and to the rest of Johnny's crew.

This book kick started a wonderful new series. You have shifter on one side and withes on the other side. They have never truly gotten along before. Now things are change and they are coming together to protect or eliminate a threat to their lives. Kell is a loner and when he starts to notice things that are happen with no true reason to him self. the sparks do start to fly when Johnny and Kell come together. Cant wait to see what happens in the next book will the Virgil win or not

Kell had a rough upbringing in foster homes - always made to feel different, not knowing why.
Johnny was part witch, part wolf, and had been made to choose. He chose his wolf, leaving the witches - and his best friend Ash behind.
When the Vigil try to capture or kill Kell, they are brought together and discover that he is a wind ward, and important to all of them. The wolves and the witches must work together to protect him.
