About the author

An internationally known author, astrologer, psychic, healer, broadcaster and workshop leader, Judy Hall has been a karmic counsellor for over thirty years.

Her books have been translated into fifteen languages. Her specialities are past life readings and regression; reincarnation, astrology, psychology and natural forms of healing.

She has clients from all walks of life: the House of Lords, the European Parliament, pop singers, university professors, scientists and mystics, and people on social security.

She has conducted workshops around the world. A trained healer and counsellor, she has been psychic all her life and has a wide experience of many systems of divination and natural healing methods.

Judy has a B.Ed. in Religious Studies and an extensive knowledge of world religions and mythology. Her mentor was Christine Hartley (Dion Fortune's metaphysical colleague and literary agent). She completed her Masters Degree in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology at Bath Spa University.

The book was too superficial for my liking, but I got the sense, that Judy knows, what she's talking about, and I'm looking forward to reading one of her bigger volumes to see, if they provide more in depth knowledge.

This was a quick read I got through over the course of a sick day. It was a great little pick me up and a nice refresher and introduction to the world of crystals, one that I wouldn't hesitate to pick up for a quick guide on which crystal to go for next.

I love that this book talked about the science and practicality of crystals, like how they are used to power machines and tech equipment as well as the history behind them. It's nice to have a piece of information that talks about the physical attributes as well as the mystical ones.

I love that we kicked off with a couple of stones I hadn't learned about before in a way that was both detailed and digestible. There were a few crystals that I think everyone should be introduced to that weren't included but that was refreshing to me because at this point, although definitely still a beginner to the practice, I've read a few sources on these now, and so having different information in a beginner book was very refreshing.

The illustrations throughout this are very calming and helpful too.

I've got to say, I will definitely be sleeping with some of my amethyst under my pillow tonight to help my sleep and to hopefully minimise those bad dreams that have been haunting me!

this was such a fun knowledgeable read. I recently got into witchcraft and one of the most talked about topic in witchcraft was crystals.
My cousin gifted me a rose-quartz crystal and I took care of it ever since (tried a couple of exercises from the little book of witchcraft😉) and since I got that crystal, I wanted more. This book helped me to identify with crystals and how they work.
5/5 and definitely going to buy more crystals.

This is a nice little book that is a small introduction to crystals. It definitely doesn't cover a huge variety, and even I, as a person with very little knowledge of crystals, noticed some missing. But as for an introductory text that just opens your mind to the options out there, it did pretty well. I think I could be convinced to read further into the topic for sure.
