"Once upon a time..."
...my best childhood nights had started with this wonderful phrase!

Ever since I can remember, I loved a good story!

All started thanks to my beloved grandfather! He used to read to my sister and me, stories of mighty princes and horrifying dragons! Even now, sometimes I miss those cold winters in front of the fireplace in my hometown, Texas!

My best stories though were the ones from the Bible! Such is the spiritual connection that a cozy warm pass through my body every time I hear a biblical story!

My childhood memories were not all roses, but I always knew that the strongest shelter would be always there for me! It was Him!

Years passed by, and little-Chloe grown up reading all kind of stories! It was no surprise that I had this urge to write my own stories, and share them with the word!

If I have a God's purpose on Earth, I think it is to spread His love and wisdom, through my stories!

His Mysterious Silent Bride by Chloe Carley is an exciting book full of adventure, danger and romance. When Jeremy is sent to San Francisco on his first big job little does he know the dangers he will face. He is rescued by Sophia Annikov, a Russian girl who has a special gift. She and her father are in hiding on an island near San Francisco. Good story. This must be part of a series because there were names of other books that I hadn't read yet. But I was able to read and understand the story. Looking forward to checking out the other books.

I received a copy of this book from Chloe Carley and all opinions are my own.

His Mysterious Silent Bride by Chloe Carley is two separate adventures: one of a young man in a train wreck who is then shanghaied and the other of a young woman running from the Russian secret police. There are all sorts of subplots and turns in the road for each of them. We have met Jeremiah McClary in previous books but here, in order to take his mind off Daisy Whitlock, his uncle Nate is sending him, by train, to San Francisco to accept delivery of two new bulls and return all three of them by train to the ranch in Colorado. All is going well until, while crossing the longest, narrowest bridge Jeremy has ever seen, the locomotive and three front cars are plunged into the ravine with Jeremy's car hanging, turned sideways. He does his best to help as many people out as he can and then jumps, just as the car is falling to join the others. It is awhile until Jeremy is able to return to his home, with lots of twists and turns along the way. Sophia is a young woman, who with her father has fled the Czar of Russia. Her father had planned such a move but her behavior in the public square moved his plans forward. Her father is paranoid and is certain the secret police will hunt them to the isolated island off the coast of California where they have sought refuge, but Sophia had a vision from God, telling her they would be safe. Her faith is absolute and so she spends her days drawing and dancing on the beach.

His Mysterious Silent Bride is an intriguing story, although pretty unrealistic. Jeremy is a sensible young rancher from Colorado and Sophia is a prayerful, carefree girl from Russia. Their stories meet in a most interesting way. The plot is wonderful and faith filled. Both are well-written, rounded characters, but the best character is Mrs. Hendricks, their landlady on the island who is full of personality and spit and vinegar. She is a romantic, but yet totally down to earth and practical. This is a feel-good romance. If the reader is feeling low yet in need of adventure, this is the book. It has (mostly) a happy ending and (totally) hope for the future. I recommend it highly.

I received a free ARC of His Mysterious Silent Bride in exchange for a fair and honest review.

“His Mysterious Silent Bride” by Chloe Carly is an interesting Christian romance. It begins with Jem McClary sending his son, Jeremey, off to San Francisco by train to bring back a couple of prize bulls for the ranch. Everything goes smoothly until a terrible accident derails the train and most of the passenger cars, except for Jeremy’s car, which is teetering on the brink of a cliff. He has time to rescue the passengers before the car goes over the edge. The next thing he knows, he is bound on a ship. He has been shanghaied.

Sophia Annikova has dreams that are more like visions. In these, the Lord seems to be calling her to do things. Living in St. Petersburg, Russia at this time is very dangerous. Her father is trying to get his daughter away to America before the worst happens. Sophia feels she has to follow the messages she sees in her dreams and her actions cause her father and her to leave St. Petersburg as soon as possible. They end up on a small island off the coast of California. Sophia’s father is certain that the Russian secret police will eventually find and kill them.

The story of how this all meshes together is very unique. Ms. Carly has a great imagination. I had a question in the back of my mind while reading this book - the title truly did not seem to match the narrative. We start out in Colorado, then to Russia, then to California and all this seems to make sense. One of my concerns with the novel is that the ending comes suddenly and surprisingly. The characters all ending up at the same place at the same time had to be divine intervention or a quick ending to the story.

I have read quite a lot of this Author’s books. And, I have enjoyed each one. But this one is by far the best one to date. If I could give the book ten stars I would. I guess the principal characters are Jeremy and Sophia. But every single character is so important to the success of this book. All of the characters are so well developed. It seems that each person in the story has their own set of issues they are struggling with. All of the issues they face also impact their relationship with God. There comes a point in the book that Jeremy has fallen victim to criminals. His father Jen and his Uncle Nate and cousin try to find him. They come to a point where they are unable to find him and come to the conclusion that he is dead and the grief his Father feel is almost more than he can bare. His Uncle and cousin is also grief stricken. Then there comes a point in the story where Jeremy is found and their joy is beyond measure. I could imagine vividly how they must have felt. I myself have two Grandmothers who lot a child and I know they went through terrible grief. I witnessed it. So I can just imagine how great a person’s joy; especially a parent’s would be if they thought their child was dead; but now is found. I don’t want to go into more detail about this book because I would not want to spoil it for other readers who have yet to read the book. It is a clean read. I also like how this author weaves faith and trust in God in her books. They are never preachy. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

True Devotion

Jeremy is a young man on his first trip alone to take care of business in California for his uncle Nate. Jem, his father puts him on the train with lots of last minute words of wisdom.
The train never makes it to San Francisco, because robbers have torn up the tracks causing it to detail and many lives are lost. Jeremy is able to save several lives before jumping from the car they were in but passes out after landing on the ground.
Word is sent to his folks back home about the derailment and Nate decides to go to California to see what can be done to find out what more can be done to find out about Jeremy. Nathaniel, his son decides to go with him and when Jem finds out he takes off on his own for the train station, he becomes upset because the train didn't leave on time. He is escorted off the train onto a special train for the trip thanks to the Governor of Colorado.
Misadventures are had by all - Jeremy finds a bride and Nathaniel gains a daughter to take back home.

ONE AMAZING ADVENTURE!!!
Wow! Talk about going down with the ship. Oh yeah, Chloe brought magic with this little guy that leaves you reeling and wanting more. She can spin it with a realism thats breathtaking. She pours it on when she created this strong storyline with such a dynamic plot and perfect balance with the characters bringing this bad boy roaring to life flawlessly. Twixt and twined and put through the wringer, fascinated as we witness all the trials and tribulations this duo has to fight through in their struggle for survival. When the sparks start to fly, best watch for flames. The personalities are well matched and brought together smoothly. The scenes were so vividly detailed it paints a majestic backdrop that feels so realistic its like you're right there in middle of ground zero with them. Throw in some twists and turn and a few bumps and bruises as you watch the world light up. Amazing job Chloe, thanks for sharing this little gem with us.

A Sweet Love Story!

First, I have read all of Chloe Carley's books to date, and I have enjoyed them immensely. I always look forward to hearing that another book is ready.

This sweet story begins with a train wreck in which there were only five survivors. As he was looking for help, Jeremy was abducted, tied up and thrown into the hull of a ship and drugged so he could not try to escape. Jeremy managed to escape and went overboard and swam toward shore. He suffered a severe sunburn and the salt water damaged his face. A dream led Sophia to watch for him to come near land and Sophia and her father were able to pull him from the Pacific Ocean and restore him to health.

Oops, I haven't told you about the love story. Read to find out all of the love stories. One involved a marriage, another the adoption of a child, and another the birth of twins.

I really enjoyed this book. Jeremy grew up on a ranch in a small Colorado town. His dad thinks it’s time for his son to take on more responsibility. So Jeremy headsmoff to San Francisco to buy more cattle for the ranch. When his train derails he journey into discovering what kind of man he will be just begins. When word reaches the ranch his father, uncle and cousin go to find out what they can about where Jeremy is. This starts out their own journey that tests their faith, friendships and family! It was interesting to see how each one dealt differently with the same news! It had plenty of action and twists and revealing moments. I really enjoyed the characters and the different choices each made!

When Jeremy, from Indian Rock, Colorado travels by train to San Francisco for business for the ranch, he is involved in a tragic train accident in Nevada. This is just the beginning of Jeremy's adventures. Along the way he meets Sophia Annikov, from Russia who is hiding out with her father on an island off the California coast. With her by his side he has more adventures, and these could prove to be just as deadly for Jeremy and Sophia as his other adventures.. Will these two people find true love along the way? I love how Jeremy prays to the Lord for guidance and help when he needs it. This is a clean, Christian romance and I absolutely loved this book. This is my true and honest opinion.

This is book six in the Colorado Reborn series. We are now dealing with the children of Nate Trowbridge and Jem McClary. Jeremy after being rejected by Daisy in the last book goes to San Francisco to receive cattle for the ranch in Indian Rock. This story is well-written and follows a very difficult timeline that I am proud to say the author follows with amazing accuracy. The accuracy of historical happenings plays into the story and grabs you with an intensity of what is going to happen next. I have not been disappointed by one of these stories in the Colorado Reborn series, especially this one. This one will make you smile, because the miracle in this story can only be the hand of God.

His Mysterious Silent Bride

I received an ARC of this book from the author, Chloe Carley, and this is my voluntary and honest review. I enjoyed this book the most of all the books that I have read by this author. There was a lot of suspense besides the relationship that formed between Jeremy and Sophia. The most intense moments were the train wreck that Jeremy was in. I like the way this author makes sure that the reader knows that God is with those who believe in him. I highly recommend this book and all books by this author. Be sure to read the free extended epilogue that she includes at the end of her books.

I would give this book 5 stars if I could. I REALLY like it because it has substance as a story, excitement, Not just "he looks at her full lips & wants to kiss them" or "she is bitting her lower lip" because of nerves. The romance part is not the main issue but how the people came together & the story develops around many people in 3 different locations. Very well written & I highly recommend. I received an ARC from the author. This is my voluntary, honest review.

I enjoyed the intriguing story taking place along with the suspense of how the main characters handle the news of the missing son. The hunt for the young man and all the ups and downs that went with it. I enjoyed the passages from the bible used to show how the characters faith was strong. It also showed how we can be led astray by emotions but brought back to the love and understanding of God. Good character build up and strong story line makes it a hard to put down book.

Best Yet!

I have enjoyed other books by Chloe Carley, but this book is hands down my favorite. There’s a depth to these characters and very interesting scenarios and events. Lots of twists and turns make the plot unfold rapidly without feeling forced. Good suspense and, of course, a happy ending make up this clean read. Enjoy!

Hidden and found

When the Lord tells you to trust, take him at his word. Sofia has visions and knows she and her father will be be protected but it's hard to believe when danger is near. Jeremy's train wreck leaves his family fearing he is dead. His father had a hard time believing God has control. Now if they can all learn to trust. A story that is hard to put down.

A little different.

This story was a little different from what I expected or usually read. The one thing I didn't like, was the Russian language used, mostly, in the beginning of the book. If there were an interpretation it would have been better. The spiritual parts were excellent.

A awesome western !

This unbelievably excellent recipe for action, drama and sweet romance was one of the best stories I've read. The characters were compellingly charming and brilliantly portrayed as a amazing western family with faith ,love and courage facing difficult odds. This was definitely a uniquely enjoyable read.

It was nice to read a Christian story with God as a dominant character. Not a quick read, but worth the effort. Complications that wrap around and bring the story together at the end takes a lot of effort by the author. Interested to see where the next step goes with these characters.

Intriguing, exciting book. I thought the context choppy and hard to follow. Then, to my chagrin, I discovered, this was the last book in the series. Had not read the previous books. Will start with #1, maybe later i will upgrade my rating.

This was a 3.5 star book. It had a nice tug at the heart strings and definitely covered a wide range of topics in the book, but the love story itself was somewhat lacking. Overall the story was a good read, but won’t likely make my re-read list.

Definitely Mysterious!

Great Christian novel! I loved this book. It's Christian and western. Sophia are Jeremy are strong in their beliefs, while those around them were strengthened by the lovers. They always put God first.
Highly recommended!
