DeAnna Browne graduated from Arizona State University with her BS in Psychology. She finds it helps to corral those voices in her mind and put them to paper. Her debut novel, A DEMON RISING, was out in August 2017 with Black Opal Books. An avid reader and writer, she loves all things fantastical and bizarre with a touch of romance. Despite her love for food and traveling, she always finds her way back to Phoenix, Arizona with her husband, children, and pet dog.

Egh, I'd give this 3.5 stars if I could. It's very cliche with a minority teen who has a dead parent and discovers her hidden powers when she comes of age and falls in love with an unrealistically perfect guy. Sappy kissy romance, drugs, alcohol, technology, all that.

Despite that, it's still an interesting premise with interesting worldbuilding, but it's not unique enough to stand out. It's a decent story on its own with a decent plot, but it's very vanilla.

I only read this because it was free on Kindle Unlimited and I was extremely bored.
