Ballet is a lifestyle, not a hobby.
Anastasia has known that since she could walk and has never wavered from her personal regime of hard work, sweat, and constant practice. The way she sees it, she has an all but assured victory at the United Ballet Association Youth State Finals.
Allison has spent as many hours on the balance beam as Anastasia has on the dance floor, but ballet had never really crossed her mind. Sure, she can hold a handstand on the beam for upwards of an hour, but she's never worn to tutu in her life, and she certainly can not keep up with rhythm.
