Little does she know, he’s already on his way.Mail Order DestinySophia holds no girlish notions of romance. All she wants is to find a safe home for herself. More importantly, a safe home for Ginny. They’re both orphans looking for a better life. Sophia is willing to be a mail order bride, if that’s what it takes. She’s not willing to risk her heart, however. And she never imagined marrying a man like Josh Bentley, a man as wounded and scarred as she. This collection concludes with Caleb Bentley’s story, a short story to wrap up the Bluebonnet Brides Series.
I have seen this box sets the Bluebonnet brides for a while on Amazon and finally decided to give it a try. It is about the Bentley boys brothers and cousins and the nephew in a banker that isn’t related at all who are fine brides in bluebonnet Texas. Every book in my opinion was better than the last and with the exception of a few things that were historic Lee an accurate this is really worth reading. I would’ve given it five stars but as I said when it comes to historical romance there shouldn’t be historical inaccuracies. Like for example saying that a 21 she still young and will eventually get married in the 1800s 21 wasn’t young not with marriage was a consideration. Despite that though it is a small part in quickly forgotten with the great writing awesome adventures and funny happenings in Bluebonnet. Absolutely loved these books. So much so I quickly download it brides of copper creek another box set by Charlotte Dearing. As far as these books go you should read them if you love historical romance you’ll fall in love with these books there more than just an hour long some two and three hours and will take you a while to finish and it’ll be a pleasure to do so. I highly recommend them and love these books.
It is always so incredibly annoying when an author, supposedly a historical fiction author, just makes stuff up. First, she stated that Magnolia , Texas, is in Hill Country. Well, no. Magnolia is actually in the Piney Woods of East Texas, near Houston. Then she states that Pecos is near Magnolia! Pecos is in West Texas, over eight hours away!
I was enjoying the story but I couldn't get past this ignorance, inattention to detail, whatever you want to call it. Historical fiction needs to make the reader believe it could have happened. Not happening in this story!
I love book series about a particular town or family
And this one fits the bill so nicely! Sisters left alone, each finding love in a small Texas town, bring joy to their spouses by just being themselves. Forgiveness goes a long way in sealing relationships, as does open and frank conversation. Love seals the cracks, and happiness abounds. What more could could a growing family want? Sounds like a happily ever after coming up to me! Thanks for a well-written set of goodreads, Ms Dearing. Loved every one of them!!!
This collection of stories was fun to read. At different points along the way, I was moved to tears, laughed aloud, was disgusted and dismayed by villains, and rejoiced with the happy couples at the end of each story. As a matter of fact, if it wasn't for some questionable turns of phrase and a smattering of awful editorial misses, this would be a 5 star rating for me. If you love clean historical romance peopled with characters of high moral fiber when and where it counts, you might want to consider reading this collection.
Where do you enjoy all three of the books in this set. The only thing I wish is that the short story at the end was longer. It felt rushed. I really wish they had done better with that last story. The writing did get better as they went along. The first book seemed more stunted in each book got a little better and better. All the books are clean and I love reading stories that are always sit in the same town. I do wish that they were more in the same town going forward. The fact that this book was kindle unlimited made it a bonus.
This was a free offer on Kindle Unlimited and included four major stories and a hurried story at the end. All of the stories are set near Magnolia Texas and revolve around three brothers looking for wives, who end up being three sisters. The stories are clean, safe, and pleasant. I enjoyed my time reading them.
Charlotte Dearing has made a wonderful world in these books. They show you the world's the girls lived in as well as the Western world they came to. She takes from the East to the West. She is a great author. Read these books & make the journey. You will enjoy yourself
Some of my favorite romance stories are mail-order brides because they are clean, wholesome and educational. Learning about our pioneer heritage and the hard working grit of our ancestors helps me count my blessings and better appreciate the trials of others. These are well written with delightful characters.
I had high hopes for this collection. The writing was reasonable, and I liked the characters well enough. Romance was almost completely lacking from these, which is the point of mail order bride stories. For example, Caleb and Ginny have their first kiss at their wedding, despite having known each other for years. There is zero communication about their feelings.
I really enjoyed how the story brought each couple together even through all the troubles to have their happily ever after.Very interesting the different twist and turns to get them to the alter.
I absolutely adored this boxed set. It had every thing you could ask for suspense , adventure, humor, searching for and finding love and true family and you even find happily ever afters and true family. I think you will enjoy this set very much.
I enjoyed this collection of stories about mail order brides. The characters were well developed and their stories were interesting and fun to read. Suitable for all readers.
A sweet read of several mail order bride books. All these young ladies are headed to Texas to meet their grooms. All sorts of mischief and mayhem can happen. Not one of them thought they would fall in love. All are great and have beautiful hea’s.
Each story is captivating and a stand alone story. I am thrilled that the author included more than the three sisters making this romantic series that much more interesting.
I really enjoyed this Complete Box Set I Loved all the characters , Mail Order Bluebonnet Brides By Charlotte Dearing . I wouldn't change anything about this series .I recommend Teens and up .
The mail order brides from Boston find love and families. The Texas ranchers find their lives enriched by their wives. The adventures of the women, and their delight in their surroundings are fun.
Good set of books...loved the series and the story lines...but note I did see a couple spelling errors, did not take away from story...but if that really bothers you...skip....if you are like me and no big deal...things get missd sometimes....please.read
Love the time period these were about. Nice to think that the rough n trouble men of these setting can indeed love their wives n children.. I’m wise enough to have some doubts. No matter. All end well
I truly enjoyed each book in this box set. Charlotte has a way of drawing you in, make you laugh, cry, and even grit your teeth with her characters. Cant wait to dig into more of her mail order bride books.
Lobe stories like these that keep a family and several generations straight and yearn for love! Excellent flow and enough exciting adventures to keep reader not wanting to put down.
This is a new to me Author. Her tales grabbed me from page 1. Clean, well written and laugh out loud characters. Grab this series, you won't be able to put it down! Thank you
I enjoyed each of the books in this series for the in depth look into a family of men and a family of sisters whose lives become interwoven through mail order arrangements.
I enjoyed the characters but after a while the stories seemed all the same. All the ladies needed protecting. Only the last story didn't have a mail-order bride. And that one was so short it felt like an add on for readers who wanted to know what happened to Caleb.
