This title formerly released as The Thorn Chronicles Books 1-4: Kissed, Destroyed, Secrets & Lies.
Kimberly Loth can’t decide where she wants to settle down. She’s lived in Michigan, Illinois, Missouri, Utah, California, Oregon, and South Carolina. She finally decided to make the leap and leave the U.S. behind for a few years. Currently, she lives in Cairo, Egypt with her husband and two kids.
She is a high school math teacher by day (please don’t hold that against her) and YA author by night. She loves romantic movies, chocolate, roses, and crazy adventures. Kissed is her first novel.
The first two books were rushed and only followed by some very strange plot line that doesn't make any sense. I don't feel connected to any of the characters. It moves from a love triangle to the main girl suddenly getting married though she clearly doesn't want to be... I mean that alone is so outside her character. She went from being defiant to back to being subservient. I don't like the Sunday plot line at all... Couldn't even get past book 3. I am calling it a day.
I read all four books in one setting over two days. The story is so passionate and detailed that you just have to keep going, until you fall asleep. Then you start right back up when you wake. The story of roses and cacti at the beginning of each chapter was very informative and obsessively interesting. Who knew. I never rehash the story line in a review, I think that is a slap in the face to the author who put so much work into their book. But I really believe in saying what I think was good or bad. The plot of each book was well thought out and paced to keep the reader engaged. The back stories of each group were precise and detailed enough to fill in the picture, but not overly verbose to the point of passing the storyline. The writing was fast paced and highly addictive. I really enjoyed all four books. My only criticism is that there are no more stories in this series to read. But all good things must come to an end. Brilliant work Ms. Loth, I look forward to reading more.
I absolutely got lost in the entire series. The details she puts into everything is amazing. I loved all the characters, accept Kai. Just as I was starting to like him and the plot, he leaves her. Only to come back and feel he has all rights to her. Instead of saving her, he lets her get severely beat up. I felt every blow she received. I don't care that he healed her. As an abuse survivor.. that's just unforgiveable. He had every chance to help her run. In the end, you really had no choice but to fall in love with Puck. Then she was constantly lying to him. I was glad to see Kai had another love interest, but it just wasn't the same. I wish there was another book that the Shades aka SPYS came into play, helping organize the other groups that was still separate from the Guardians.

I give these books 3 1/2 to 4 stars. The originality is good. The story telling is pretty good too. Things I’m not crazy about... both of the triangles seemed a little forced, and kind of unnecessary. First one was more sensible, but not much. All of the secrets and lies and such were over the top to me. It was almost hard to like the characters because of it. Would have liked to have seen more from Naomi and her man together. No names because, spoilers. Also would have liked to have seen more about what the Guardians actually were supposed to be doing, not just the politics and underbelly of those organizations. There were some plot holes and a few grammar issues. Overall, though, an interesting story. She comes up with some pretty cool ones.
This was a good series and I enjoyed it. There are a few editing mistakes that could be rectified, and just so EVERYONE knows... You CANNOT buy a Blizzard at Sonic, you can buy a Sonic Blast, but not a Blizzard! Blizzards come from Dairy Queen. (That little mess up bothered me since the first book).
I felt the Alejandro thing was unnecessary, that story line could have been told without what happened. Don't like it at all!
I feel like the ending was pretty sloppy... There's still more to the story, that we will probably never get. Also, Naomi can get quite annoying. She's pretty self absorbed no matter how the author tried to paint it. I wish we would get more of this story. I'd like to see some from the boys' point of view some too.
It starts off a little slow, but then becomes well paced. Without spoiling anything, the storyline is really good and very heartwrenching. Naomi is a well written main character as are kai and the others, there were parts of the story that made me horrified. It is very descriptive to the point you can almost imagine yourself as Naomi, I felt her pain and suffering as if it was my own. I really loved book one and can't wait to read the next book, there's so much mystery to many of the characters that I need to know.
After reading the entire series, I absolutely loved it. The characters are all amazing in their own unique way, at times it was hard to tell who the good guys were and who the bad guys were. It made the whole story much more exciting.
I was going to give the books a 4 because they are of particularly well written and at times l had to pause to remember who a particular character was. But these books really grabbed me and wouldn't let go. I would be marking papers or eating dinner and would think, "I wonder what Naomi is up to now?" I like the adventure and Naomi's then later Sunday's growing up and coming of age. I thought a couple of the situations were a little too pat like how Sunday was able to determine which guy to go with. Overall, though, these are books that are hard to put down, and who doesn't love that?
The premise of the book was good, but then it turn weird and dark. I finished the first book and thought how disjointed it became. They said one thing then did a completely different thing. The author tried to make a duel boyfriend triangle that seem weak and didn't work for me. The 2nd book became pretty dark and forced. I quickly dreaded wanting to pick it up and read it anymore. I don't like to force myself to finish a series I'm dreading to read so I quit. I'm not a fan of the authors writing and won't pick up another one again. It wasn't a smoothly written book that you can fall into the story.
Read all the book so rating the series as a whole. Charcters were all interesting and couldnt wait to finish so i could find out what happen. A bit disappointed in the end felt it was a little rushed and would liked to have read more information on pucks overall decision at the end of the book and had a scene with him and naomi at the end. But overall was a good read and hope for a spin off to find out the progress and a bit more of naomi and pucks relationship without things holding them back !
I had the pleasure of coming across this young adult series on amazon prime. I absolutely loved the characters and the storyline was very entertaining. This series has the potential to be so much more. I truly wish the author would consider expanding on the Thorn Chronicle series-3 or 4 more books would be a great start (wink, wink). There are a few grammatical errors, but since I read the stories so quickly It barely caught my eyes.
The book is a fun to read book. Different paranormal. Needs a good editor. Usually I would just stop reading after the first few mistakes, if you don't care enough about your book to edit it or have an editor go over it. But you have a good and fun story here. I think young adults would like it. I know I did. This book has it all, love, hate, adventure, with paranormal to add to the mysterious.
Truly enjoyed reading this series! Kept my attention through the whole series. Read straight through. Naomi goes through a lot in the first couple of books but finally comes to terms with what she needs to do. Kai and Puck well you will have to see what becomes of them. I’m still not sure what I wanted to happen there mixed feelings about that one! Ha! But loved the outcome! Sunday is snarky and I love it! She has big decisions as well. Definitely recommend reading!
Soon under 3 days I read all four books and I loved them. I wasn't sure how I felt with the first page then I blinked and I had read the whole first book without moving. Yes it's that good. Now I'm going to read everything Kimberly Loth has written. Excited to find such a good author and book set on Kindle unlimited.
This was a well written series. Wish there were more of them. Would love to hear how some of the side stories played out. The main characters are young especially in the third and fourth books but we're given such relatable strengths and sensibilities that they seemed much older.
I enjoyed these stories. They really are for young people because the only sexual thing anyone does is kiss. There are a few bad people who buy the farm but they deserved it. I actually found the stories to be attention keeping and I wanted to know what happened next. That made me read them pretty fast. I hope you like them too. Happy Reading.
The great thing about boxed sets is that you don't have to wait for the next book in the series. I love Naomi 's character and everything she endured. The double crossing throughout the series was crazy. I liked how the snippets about roses and later cacti connected to the characters ' emotions.
I would give this 3 1/2 stars if I could. The first two books were good. The beginning of the first book starts off so differently from how it ends. You have to make it around halfway through the book to even partially grasp what the series is going to be about. One thing I did like about the first book was that I really liked Naomi, who was the main character, so I kept reading. In the third book however, I did not feel any connection to Sunday, (the main character), and I had to force myself to finish the series. The whole series was very complicated, and most of the details that explained what was happening were in these long paragraphs that I found myself skimming over. I was aware that I was not fully paying attention, but I couldn't bring myself to read all of the paragraphs; they were just too boring. The series was good, especially the first book, but it got worse and worse as the books went on. I would still recommend this book, however, because the plot is original and Naomi is a good character.
The first book really captured the attention of the reader. But after that it went downhill fast. I couldn’t finish the second book but wanted to know what happened, so I skipped to the end of the fourth book. I’ve determined that I don’t need to read any more from this author if it is all this juvenile.
Did not finish bundle. I read the first book but could not complete the second. Might try later as I enjoyed the concept behind the series but I really didn't like the men in the book. Or most of the characters for that matter.
Probably better for young teens. Paranormal type romance. Not sexually explicit. Keeps you interested. I like how they keep original characters throughout the series and add new, story line continues they all books
I loved these books couldn't put them down. If i had to change anything it be the editing wasnt done right. Other then that perfect for a 15 year old and or a 30 year old. A love story, action, magic, friendship, bonds, and family.
Minor twists in plots and chapters keeps it going. characters who change and grow, sprinkle in romance, good guys, bad guys and the grey guys! Enjoyed reading the whole set!
I was enjoying it but I couldn't get past the fact that even though the Guardians are good, they still take something from people without their consent. It also bothers me that they mess with free will by changing people's emotions. I didn't finish.

i listened to the audio book on audibles i enjoyed the stories. i felt that it was a little hard to follow during the last book when it would alternate between sunday and naomi. ... but again... that was with audio. overall it was a good story.
Was an amazing love story with lots of drama. Would recommend this to any one that loves twist and turns on a love story. You won’t be disappointed, and I bet you won’t want to put it down until the very last page.
Higjly recommend. The characters are all unique and story was well written. Once I started, I couldn't stop until I finished and even then I wanted more!
This was a great series. I was very realistic and not all glossed over like most books of this type. I would recommend book series to anyone from teenagers to adults. They will not be sorry for reading this series.
When I first started reading this book I thought, what did I get myself into. I continued to read it and it got better and better. I couldn't put it down, and I wish it never ended. I have never read anything like this and I want more!!!
I was hooked from the first line! I just finished this series and I have to tell you that I'm a little devastated that it's over. Get ready for the emotional roller coaster that these books will take you on, you're going to love it! Definitely recommend! My favorite series of the year yet.
I don't normally say this but... OMG! I read the whole series straight through. The ending I cried, I laughed. It's a totally unexpected twisting tale. Loved it. Thank you.
