What do you do when you wake up in bed next to an Adonis god with a wedding band on your finger and no recollections of the night before?
Except for maybe one single memory where you lost a hand of cards to the sexy stranger and agreed to marry him. Seriously, how drunk was I?!
Well, whatever the case, you sure as hell do not agree to stay married to the Greek God and be his wife!
I mean what if he had a crooked dick or something. There was bound to be a catch, right?
Because why the hell would he want the plain-Jane-ME as his wife?
Ah, he did say he needed to get married and it would save him all the work of actually having to find someone, date them, propose, and go through months of wedding planning.
But like how the freaking hell is that a valid reason?!
Well, he did ask for a weekend to prove to me that we were perfect for each other. Should I agree? Especially when my body was reacting all on its own and going into instant combustion every time he touched me.

When we wrangled back and forth, do I love you, or don’t I, for the ten millionth time, I was about over it. Then, our poor h, discovers our H is in reality, a billionaire, and so she does exactly what they all do. She runs away. You know? Like any woman struggling with money does, when she finds a man she can love, has great sex with, AND finds he is wealthy beyond imagination. Better get outta here, quick! Yeah, I don’t get it, and it does get old. For me, this is not a favorite, and not a book I would recommend.
Funny, steamy, and sweet. Dang June was snarky and prickly to hide her vulnerabilities but some of the things she said and did were hilarious. Brock was sweet and sincere and sexy as all hell. They were funny and steamy together. I'm glad they were able to be vulnerable with each other and get their HEA.

REVIEW: 3.75 stars--MARRIED BY MISTAKE is the first novella in Lindsey Hart’s contemporary, adult ALPHALICIOUS BILLIONAIRES erotic, romance series. This is thirty-five year old, billionaire software CEO Brock Williams, and receptionist June Lashinsky’s story line.
Told from dual third person perspectives (June and Brock) MARRIED BY MISTAKE follows in the aftermath of one-night in Vegas where two strangers - thirty-five year old, billionaire software CEO Brock Williams, and receptionist June Lashinsky-find themselves married after a losing poker hand, and a promise of marriage. What ensues is a weekend together for June and Brock as Brock seduces the woman with whom he will fall in love.
Neither Brock nor June remember the night before but waking up beside a beautiful stranger, wearing matching wedding bands, meant desperate times called for desperate measures. When Brock suggests giving their relationship a chance, June is ready to run towards annulment or divorce. A little white lie forces June to run, a lie that for all intents and purposes is nothing compared to the relationships from her past.
MARRIED BY MISTAKE has a little bit of everything: fun, romance, $ex and conflict. We are introduced to June’s feisty best friends Mindy and Lacy whose frenetic energy is over the top and energetic. The premise is entertaining and engaging; the characters are colorful and dynamic; the romance is a quick build to happily ever after.
ARC was given by Author through Booksprouts. I am giving my review voluntarily. I gave this book 4 1/2 🌟 . Married by Mistake by Lindsey Hart this is book 1 in her Alphalicious Billionaires series.
I really like this book it was funny, great bantering, smoldering hot chemistry, great characters, best friends. A weekend away to Vegas June goes to forget about her cheating ex with her friends. You involved to much boose , a game of chance, and one smoking hot looking guy it's perfect way to spend a night.... until you wake up the following morning next to that same man not remembering how you ended up married to him?? Brock wants to try it out, they are already married there's nothing to lose. So he tries to convince June to give them a fair honest go at it. He pulls out all tricks, in a good way to try and impress her! Will this turn from crazy into HEA? This had a wonderful ending - It was a pleasure reading this book, I loveeed June and Brock together ❤️ Can't wait for her friends to have their own HEA.
Okayish. In my opinion it would've been better if it was just a casual romcom than a smutty one because there was chemistry and the banter was nice.
The reason for being mad at him was utterly dumb cause he had every right to keep his wealth hidden, just because you've met someone the previous dau doesn't mean you barf out your whole life immediately to them.
I listened to the audiobook and the narrator CJ Bloom did a great job. I like Brock and June (she did get on my nerves a bit) and it was a cute, quick listen.
Best mistake of their lives! This was such a fun & sexy read, just love that combination. Interesting main characters with lots of fatal attraction & sexy scenes, HOT! I just loved the bride's girlfriends, I couldn't control myself from laughing out loud at their antics. Highly recommended. I received an ARC & this is my honest & voluntary review.
I actually liked this book. It was a quick read. With a bit of steam.
Hero and heroine (Brock & June) get drunk in Vegas and wake up married. Neither remembers what happened, but Brock insists they try to make the best of it.
Then we get an epilogue 3 years later. Which is a great added bonus. It helps make their relationship seem more real to see where they are into their future and a bit of info about how they got there.
Married By Mistake is the first installment to her new Alphalicious Billionaires Series and if the rest of her books are anything like this incredible one, I'm going to be hooked all throughout the Series. Ms. Hart, in general, is a wonderfully talented Author, however, with this beautifully designed book, I'd say it puts her at the top of her game/craft. Pure quality, from cover to cover, and you are definitely going to fall in love with June and Brock. Brock is what every man, in general, should aspire to be. June doesn't know it yet, but she has found herself her one true love and she's a very lucky woman to be married to him. To go from having a broken heart to a married woman in one weekend genius on the part of Ms. Hart and just what June needs. Brock, a Billionaire, is beyond fortunate to have found a woman that not only doesn't know about his wealth, but in general, has no idea who he is. Can he convince her to stay married? A lot can happen in a weekend. Can these two amazing characters, still get their much deserved, happily ever after? Yes, but the journey is one hell of a ride. All romance readers that are looking for an exquisite romance book; have found it right here with Married By Mistake.
I voluntarily requested an advanced reader's copy of Married By Mistake in exchange for my honest opinion and I highly recommend reading this book as well as anything written by Ms. Hart.
This was a very fast yet highly entertaining read. An emotionally thrilling, sexy, fun, witty and engaging romantic adventure filled with lots of laughs and heart pounding twists..... loved it from beginning to end and look forward to more from this series.
This was a really sweet love story. I highly recommend reading it. it was very well written and had a sweet ending to it. you can't go wrong with this book.
I haven't had much luck with Lindsey Hart but decided to give this one a shot because I'm a sucker.
I've loved the hidden identity/marriage of convenience trope since reading my first romance novel, Man of my Dreams by Johanna Lindsey at the tender age of way too young. I noticed a FB comment that it was written in third person, which is a preference for me, and took it to be a sign.
Bath drawn, wine poured, I dove into my book and almost immediately regretted it.
The opening scene was way too drawn out and I kind of hated June. I thought surely after ordering room service (so they don't get 'hangry') and rendezvous-ing with her friends that she become more reasonable and likeable. I was wrong. While I'm sure she was meant to be funny with her over-the-top theatrics, it missed the mark by a mile.
June was a shallow, wishy-washy, negative, ungrateful wretch. By the third or fourth time it was mentioned that her fiancé had cheated on her with a dude, I was mentally done with her but so close to being finished the book (thank goodness it was relatively short, yet still far too long) that I persevered through to the finish line. Right to the bitter end I was hoping for June to come around, give an inch to Brock, who was working so hard to win her over, but she just never did.
Brock was the opposite of June; upbeat, positive, and almost immediately decided to make the most of their situation and convince June that they could make their relationship work. He planned a really thoughtful day in Vegas (which didn't exactly go as planned) and sweetly included her girlfriends so they could have fun too. He was almost too accommodating, doing 100% of the work.
It was just didn't feel authentic to have him be all-in from the get go and have her so resistant, with virtually no give.
As a result I simply didn't buy into their romance. The bedroom scenes were decently steamy, but did little to help establish their chemistry since June was so hot and cold. I wasn't rooting for them at all.
I hate cliffhangers. Really hate them. I often won't read a book that I know ends in a cliffhanger. So, when I say I was hoping for a cliffhanger ending here, I want you to understand what this means. The only way this book could have redeemed itself was if Brock decided not to chase June when she inevitably fled Vegas after finally discovering who he was; give her the divorce and never think of her again.
The sequel would pick up with Brock finally finding a woman worthy of him. Heck, maybe she could even be a secret heiress that would help replenish his empire following the divorce settlement.

AN ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS READ!!! Wow! Talk about an absolute boy and previlage to read this little treasure. Man, Lindsey never lets me down. I know I haven't a thing to worry about if she wrote this bad boy. She brings it when comes, and she comes out swinging. There is nothing held back or a short cut that makes you wonder why. No sir, not Lindsey. She packs a punch and leaves you in awe and wanting more. You get it all. She brings every emotion you have front and center in a whirlwind that you get so immersed your only focus on this page turning wonder, on a razors edge throughout. She lays out one thrilling storyline and explosive plot that brings this bad boy roaring to life spectacularly. The chemistry between the two main characters are white hot, off the charts, explosive. You get lost in the back and forth banter and bickering between them it's just so lively and on point, it takes your breath away. The characters are complex with such depth and individuality Lindsey draws you into her imagination and weaves a world so tightly around us until everything else ceases to exist. The scenes are so vividly described and detailed you have no trouble picturing each scenario as they play off one another in perfect balance. Lindsey totally rocked this little gem with such on point real to life form you can't help but fall in love with each character. Remarkable job Lindsey, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my honest review. What a great way to start a new series, Alphalicious Billionaires, and it certainly describes Brock perfectly. This one was really easy and quick to read as it flowed along nicely with a little amount of angst and a nice dash of humour. I really enjoy this type of book where a couple of strangers wake up married to each other and then seeing how they remain together. This one had a nice amount of humour in it that I enjoyed. June's friends were pretty funny at times. Brock was just about perfect (and so smokin' hot), even when they had a mis-understanding, I could see why Brock did and said the things he did. June was certainly justified in reacting the way she, and her usual excuse of looking for things to make the relationship fail, but I was glad to see it was resolved nicely. Really enjoyed the chemistry these two characters had which made for a few steamy scenes. This one was certainly fast paced as expected when a couple wakes up married but the epilogue was a few years down the track and it was nice to see where their relationship had progressed to, I'm really glad it ended the way it did! Overall a great start to a new series that I recommend you grab and I look froward to picking up the next one.
When I had begun to read this book, I found I was not enamored with the main female character June. She had a serious case of being trouble. The first lucid conversation she had with Brock (the main male character) made it was hard to like her. She kept twisting everything he said around. She refused to feel bad for how she was treating him. She definitely had to run him down no matter the cost. She did not even care to give him the courtesy of hearing his side of the story. I did not like June and put the book aside. A day later, I continued reading because I made a commitment to Booksprout to read and review. I was not looking forward to it. As I continued reading, I was pleasantly surprised. Brock turned out to be a great guy even though he had kept one tiny weeny fact from June. He felt if she knew it would cloud their tenuous connection. Which by the way was a serious chemical connection, a combustible cataclysmic physical attraction, "it was painful and erotic it was thrilling and terrifying". The book also revealed some funny personality traits that made the difference for me in regard to what I thought of June. She and Brock enjoyed sarcastic and witty banter that was delightful to read. This is a quick read about a weekend gone wrong? or right? I had fun reading it. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
June wakes up with a bad hangover, then realizes she is not alone the not in her hotel room. She turns and finds a very handsome young man in bed with her and both have gold bands on their ring fingers. Being overly cautious they only tell the other their first name. Then comes the panic, do they get a divorce, an annulment, or stay together. Brock wants June to stay together for the weekend and see how all goes. Brock makes arrangements for entertainment for the day and evening for Brock and June and her two friends that came to Vegas with June. The friends begin to like and Brock and they try to persuade June to stay with Brock, since they are married. June stays with Brock another night, but wakes early and gets dressed to sneak out when she sees the marriage license. The finds out Brock last name and goes back to her hotel room and looks him up on the internet. Everything changes for June, but Brock wakes and is bound in determine to find her and make a life together. This is my favorite love story by Lindsey Hart. I laughed, I cried, I could not put the book down, it was like reading about my younger years, I did not want the book to end,.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the story of Brock and June. They wake up in Las Vegas after a night of partying and learn they are married. June is horrified she married a stranger and doesn't remember anything about it. Brock is also shocked to learn he is married and doesn't seem to remember, but he is not all that bothered, he thinks it is something that they can work out. June panics and returns to her hotel where she is staying with her two best friends. When June's friends learn she is married, they want to know everything, but June doesn't remember. Brock asks June to give him the weekend to prove they could be good together and when her fiends talk her into it, she agrees. Brock plans a date with June and her friends tag along. Brock has already won them over with his charm and June knows it is going to be hard to resist Brock herself. Brock is a billionaire, but June doesn't know and he is really happy to see she likes him for him and not his money. They have an intense chemistry and Brock knows if given the chance, they could be great together. I enjoyed this book, i thought it was funny and really enjoyed how Brock really tried to get June to be with him. I liked them together and thought they belonged together. Good one.
Pretty standard "accidentally married some guy I just met in Vegas while both of us were hammered but he's okay so I guess we'll stay married" romance book. The dialogue was a little different and I enjoyed that. The biggest thing I didn't love was the warp speed jump from "WTF did we just do? We should get divorced" to "okay let's stay married". The MCs hardly talked about anything of substance and spent very little time together (and not even all of it was them being alone as her friends were invited along) before the decision was made. Definitely felt like one of those "we're sexually compatible so what the hay" kind of relationships.
I found the ending cheesy. Tired,, drippy, crusty classic of throwing in a weird misunderstanding/freak out for shits and giggles during the climax, and the male MC didn't even hesitate before he went chasing after her (another cliche). But I couldn't help wondering why he was so dedicated to keeping her in his life. What about her told him "keeper"? Never got that answer. And if I'm not convinced of the romance, then in a book where there's nothing going on but romance, then the book doesn't hit the same.
If you turn down your disbelief and are looking for a quick, lighthearted read, this may be for you.
Waking up with a hangover is one thing, but waking up with a marriage certificate and a ring on your finger is a different thing altogether. This is the story of June and Brock. June is escaping with her friends to Vegas for the weekend after she finds her boyfriend cheating on her with another man. Brock is a billionaire escaping from his life for a week vacation that he choose to have in Vegas. Both find themselves married the next morning after arriving at Vegas. Neither of them are remember what happened and she realizes that she not only lost the contents of her purse but her phone too.
The characters come to life after this rude awakening and she becomes a feisty one while he learns to push all of her buttons. Will they get this marriage annul or get divorced or will they be able to work it out? Her friends have a lot of influence on this and they are too funny in how they take a handle of this new person in their life. You will enjoy this book as it's a page turner, I couldn't put it down.

What could go wrong after a few rounds of poker between two strangers? Brock and June found out the next morning. They learned that what happens in Vegas could be really fun, if not crazy! June is running from a failed relationship while Brock is taking a break from work. Of course, both aren't looking for love, but what they find is an attraction that could grow into so much more.
I really liked this story. It's a quick read, about 3 hours for me. But the characters are relatable. I can imagine that this situation happens in Vegas all the time. I love that by the end of the story, Brock and June aren't head over heels in love, but realize that what they have can lead to it if they're willing to stick together and try. Some stories have the characters in love by chapter two or after one week, which I think is rushed to me. The journey to love is the best part of the story for me. The epilogue skips ahead a few years, but I would love to know how their story and love continued to develop once they left Vegas. (HINT HINT!!!)

I was happily following along with this book until the ending. Odd to say I know, but follow my logic. You marry a person you don't know in Vegas. It happens quite often. During your freak out the next morning you remember that you lost to him in a poker game where the wager was said marriage. He then makes a new wager. Give him two days to convince you that you belong with him. Shenanigans ensue, intercourse is had, feelings are developing, then the shoe drops. And instead of you remembering that you're an adult and having an adult conversation, you run. However, in the process of you running you remember something else about the poker game that means you have some responsibility in you being married, but you still lay all the blame on him? How is that fair? I get being scared and running away to protect yourself from being hurt for the millionth time but how is that fair to the other person when your making them out to be the bad guy in the whole situation. Even as the credits roll, I like her less and less and am whole heartedly on his side. As in writing this I wish that I could do my rating to 3.5 ⭐. Just for her not owning up to what she did.

June is in Vegas for a weekend with her friends to recover from her latest breakup. Brock is also in Vegas but for a week of relaxation. When they wake up next to each other, neither can remember how they got there. June is shocked when she notices a wedding ring on her finger. A ripped dress leads to his suitcase and she remembers a poker game and a lost bet. Brock is shocked when she tells him this, sure he would never have made such a bet. He decides since his parents are pestering him to marry that perhaps this is not such a bad thing and asks June to give him the weekend to convince her that this just might work. She agrees and the weekend that ensues brings heat and passion and treason from her friends as they side with Brock. The characters are great and their story had me laughing and rooting for Brock to win her over. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a feel good romance!

I liked this story, it was a fun, feel good and snarky read. This was a dual POV book between June Lashinsky and Brock Williams the two main protagonists. I loved the way June didn't censor her thoughts and tried to ignore things that were disturbing to her. Who doesn't do that? That was quite amusing. Brock seemed a little too observant of little things that only women notice.
Although I liked this story because it's kinda sweet and sexy, parts were not believable. The premise of BOTH blacking out and neither remembering anything from the night before seems farfetched. Why the chapel even performed the marriage when they were so drunk that they didn't remember a thing the next day was questionable. The reason was that they were able to mask the symptoms well enough to "get by" as not terribly drunk? I'm not sure. That June didn't know who Brock Williams was seems sketchy.
Overall I would recommend this book to lovers of quirky, sexy contemporary romances.
June and Brock wake up together after a crazy drunken night together. They don't remember what they did but know that they're married now. June just wants to end it and put it in the past but Brock thinks they need to give it a few days before they call it quits. Brock plans to win her over during this time and he pulls out all the stops to get her to enjoy spending time with him. June starts feeling drawn toward him even though she tries to fight it but Brock finally gets his wish and she stays with them for an entire night of talking to get to know each other before they ended up in bed. However the next morning she learns that he hasn't been truthful about who he is. Can she forgive him this lie of omission? Will Brock give up and give her the divorce she says she wants?
This is an amazing story that will captivate you from beginning to end. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.
