Lyssa has a hard job being assistants to difficult and demanding actors in CA. The diva she has now is testing her last nerve. She is ready to pack up and move to NY with her best friend when she is offered a job for twice the money to straighten up an out of control party drinking playboy. For only one month. She can do it. Right?

Callen is about to be kicked off his new show because he shows up hungover everyday and too many posts of his drunken parties are on line. He needs a babysitter, but he doesn't want one, that is until his eyes light on Lyssa. Who will win this battle? Maybe a compromise?

But there are consequences to a compromise. Lyssa is different than the girls Callen usually hangs out with. Callen isn't called a playboy for nothing, he is gorgeous, charming, and can reel them in like a seasoned fisherman. Lyssa isn't immune to his charm. The water gets very muddy here.

This is a very cute, very sweet story that you will enjoy!

I really enjoyed reading this book. It’s the story of Callen, a teen, turned A-list actor and Lysa, an assistant/handler to the stars. Callen has a role in a new TV Series and the fame and attention has turned him into a playboy, party animal. Lyssa is headed to New York in a month because she has become jaded with the life in Santa Barbara. She is hired, to keep him on the straight and narrow in order to save his career. There are twists and turns and ups and downs that the author throws their way that need to be overcome. Does Lyssa save Callen from himself? Can Callen become the man who Lyssa believes him capable of? Will they find their happy ever after and will it be alone or together? I highly recommend you read the book to find out. I was hooked from beginning to end by this great storyline, fabulous characters and steamy story. I’m sure you will be too.

An extremely patient star babysitter
It is a simple romance but very well written and which becomes fascinating thanks to these characters. I loved Lyssa who has a lot of self control, who is even on the edge of the saint. The feelings are very well described and despite a short story it allows to feel everything.
Callen is a well-known Hollywood actor on television, but is about to lose everything by his addiction to partying and the alcohol that accompanies it. His agent sends Lyssa who babysits the stars, assists them. She agrees, but both are distraught by the behavior of the other and their adaptation will take longer than either of them thought, because they did not particularly want this work. Lyssa wants a little more money before going to New York and Callen just wants to get rid of her.

A Fun Story to Read!

Awesome book! I absolutely loved this one! Callen, a movie star who parties hardy & loves a good drunk. Lyssa, an assistant to the famous stars, is hired to straighten out Callen to stay out of the negative lime light & to keep his current job. Initially, he fights Lyssa's tight rein on him but she has wormed her way under his skin before he realizes it. He can run but he can't hide from her. I love Lyssa's persistence in straightening out Callen. What initially was supposed to be a huge money injection for her bank account, ends up to be so much more! Trying to keep this job as "business only" proves to be hard as he's got the looks women swoon over. Everyone loves a good HEA even when these two were "careless".

The Captain Changed His Life

Wow. This book just blew my mind. Fallen is the typical playboy actor with an inflated ego, who believes he can get away with anything. He soon realises when Lyssa, who is a hard working, straight laced woman, who doesn’t taken crap from anyone, that things have to change. There is fun, drama, Vegas shenanigans, life changes and a happy ending, that will make even the most cynical person, believe in love. The author did an amazing job with with relaxing, entertaining and enjoyable book.

It is fabulous, cute and so very entertaining. Lots of aww moments. Callen, wealthy star, playboy, loves to party, the last one causing him to be in hot water with the producer of his show. The ultimatum - shape up or ship out. Callen's agent hired Lyssa to keep Callen sober and out of trouble. Difficult job. Could she do it or should she even try? Could they work together without murder being involved? Marcella Swann is a wonderfully talented author, she makes the story come alive, draws the reader in immediately. I highly recommend you read Careless.

This is the first book I have read by this Author and I must say after reading the plot I seriously thought it was going to be boring, but it was actually really good. The Characters are likable and they writing makes you think and want to get involved with them. The love story has it's ups and downs but it also has some really funny bits that I love, to many stories are just full of gushing love and get to much but the Author has got the formula just right in this story and I shall be reading more from her in the future..

Callen was very cocky and liked to party a lot. But, he was in danger of losing the role he had and seriously jeopardizing his career. That is when his agent steps in and hires Lyssa. I enjoyed the interaction between the two. There is some conflict, humor, romance, and more. Don't miss it!

Careless is the first time I've read a Marcella Swann book and it will not be the last. The storyline was engaging and kept my interest as well as the adventures, the drama, twists,the magic and emotional turmoil created tension for the couple. Callen and Lyssa were both strong characters and that made for a well balanced couple. The attraction between the couple simmered along nice as they engaged in a chemistry that was steamy and hot. Can not wait to read more from this author.

They made careless look good. It was refreshing and fun to read this book. I really thought they made a good couple when she was hired to babysit him. She didn't give him options for anything and she could cook, which he loved a lot. She have him what he needed that he was missing for a long time: a chance to just be himself.

Great read. Lyssa brought in by Callen's agent to do something about his wayward behaviour. After laying down some rules Callen reluctantly reforms his wild partying ways until he is lured away by his acting friends to party for a weekend in Vegas.
