The tables have turned. The Informant is dead; the Collector is on the run. Valkyrie knows the serial killer’s real name now. She’s about to learn his past. The only thing coming between Val and her long-sought revenge is the final missing piece of the puzzle: Why her? What connects the killer to her family? If Val can unravel the plot in time, she might find the answers to all her questions and save dozens of lives. But if her plan succeeds, and she finally meets the Collector face to face, one chilling fact remains, which the killer reminds her in his own words: “Somebody’s gotta die.”

This is a book like no other. From The first page to the last it's like An out of control Train. I will follow this Author whatever she does and where ever she takes me.
This is the third book in the Valkyrie Smith series. In the first book, a killer invaded her home and murdered her husband and son. Val only escaped because she fell into a dry well and broke her back. She lay in the well for two or three days before she was rescued.
After a long, painful recovery, she began tracking the killer. It was a matter of following his trail of victims. As the third book begins, she is still tracking the serial killer she calls The Collector. And the police and the FBI are tracking Val.
The Collector calls her occasionally to taunt her, and he tells her that the next one will be big -- that he is building a bomb. The police and FBI will not listen to her. They want to capture her as a serial killer. She must remain free to do whatever she can to stop The Collector.
Ok...I wanted Val and Carver to end up together as a couple.....I wanted them to drive off into the sunset and catch bad guys all over the USA. When that didn’t happen.....hence the 4 star rating. I was so disappointed and sad with what happened to him, why couldn’t the author have written the ending that way. Overall I did enjoy this series. There was a lot of twists and turns. All my questions were answered but I’m still disappointed, I can’t get over Carver....I just can’t. I thought this series was only going to be 3 books so imagine my surprise when I saw at the end of this book that there is go to be another book in this series.....I can’t wait. I just love Val and Max. it’s a very very interesting fact who Max is going to be working for?? Hmmm
Each book in this series was gripping and the final book was especially well done. The ending had surprises right up to the very end. I had a difficult time putting these books down! Great read!
