Dragon Vanquished

This is a COMPLETE series

Octavia rises up, stronger than ever before.

Locked in an immortal prison with the scariest creatures of legend, I've got no choice but to team up with a few former enemies if I hope to make it out alive. With no cards and no dice, I'm as good as dead if I can't convince them to team up with me. I have to because somewhere out there are my four dragons terrorizing the ancient world as mindless beasts because of the Concilium. If I can't bring them back to the intelligent, thoughtful men I know they are then I'm going to have to kill them. One human against four fully-powered elemental dragons, I'm as good as dead myself. For the first time, I have to embrace the dangerous, seductive power of tarot cards if I have any chance of pulling through. Wish me luck.

Dragon Vanquished is the 4th out of 5 books in the Dragon Gladiators series. Dragon Triumphant, the final book, is already done and in editing. No long wait until the last book!

Zara Stark is a former Los Angeles resident that defected to small-town Iowa a few years ago. Besides obsessively reading and writing, she enjoys exploring outdoors, tarot cards, karaoke and conspiracy theory Youtube videos. While she loves the Midwestern snowstorms she desperately misses the beach. While writing has always been her number one passion, Zara went to school for biotechnology, geology and eventually nursing. She has hiked inside of a volcano, slid down a giant sand dune with her butt on a clipboard and has seen some crazy things working in the healthcare industry, her favorite adventures are still inside of her head. You can find her any day of the week off on an adventure with her husband/BFF and their toddler.

I greatly dislike giving negative reviews because I understand the amount of blood, sweat and tears that goes into writing a book and then some arsehole comes along shits on everything. But I feel that this needed to be said - the incorrect grammar, words and formatting issues just plain pissed me off. Wrong words such has "tool" instead of "took" and my personal favourite "bitches" instead of "beaches". Zara, I don't know if you use an editor or proofreader but by gods I hope you are not paying them because I lost count of the number of issues I saw and I wasn't even trying. This story has the makings of being great but the actual execution leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

P.S. how funny would it be if after complaining about grammar issues, I had done the same thing in my review!!

Can’t stop reading

I love love love Octavia and her determination to make the almost impossible.. possible! A goddess? I did not even guess it! I’m so excited!!! When she comes fully into her powers is that when she gets or wings and will she be as huge as some of the other gods she has come across??

Warning: There are some major spelling error and run on sentences. Sentences that don’t even finish a full thought.

It’s a bit of a turn off for this book even with such an amazing story line and plot!

Love where this book takes the characters

This book has been a great continuation of a really amazing and unique series. I love the direction that this story took the characters, and how much Octavia had to do to get her guys back. My only criticism is that there is a lot of errors in the text, and the book could do with another edit. That’s really the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars. Otherwise it was great and I can’t wait to see what happens next!

I know this books is easily a four star kind of read, but it has been too long between the third and this one and I just don't feel as deeply about the characters as I should. If I read the series as a whole again I'm sure my rating will go up, but today I'm just not feeling it.

Finding her dragons

Nice story, continuing issues with proof reading detracts from the book. Plot is ok but more obvious. Vulcan was a brief interesting character.
