He said I would be royally protected if I pretended to be his Fiance!
Aspen in Summer! What a perfect place to get away from everything.
Or so I thought.
All I wanted was some peace and time away from the flashing cameras and the demands of Hollywood.
All these years and I still wasn’t used to that lifestyle. I wanted something different. I wanted to help people.
And I definitely wasn’t looking to bump into this smoking hot blue-eyed stranger.
He looked familiar.
I’d definitely seen him somewhere.
In the tabloids! The same place where they publish those lies about me!
Except he’s not in Hollywood.
He’s a Prince!
Not that many men are out of my league, but Sebastian is different.
His smoldering eyes, those arms, and that accent!
I don’t belong in his world, and yet we break a rule.
We do something we can’t change and now he needs my help.
He wants me to pretend to be his fiancé.
Just a temporary solution, but will he break my heart?
"Royally Protected," is a 30 000 word complete standalone novella with enough steam to make you take off your blankets, and keep flipping the pages way past your bedtime!
What a lovely story this was, it’s about two people coming together by accident at Salthill Peak ski resort in Aspen where they both needed time by themselves but never get the chance to because of who they are him Sebastian being a Prince and her Ava the famous actress. So by chance they meet and are instantly attracted to each other and after one hot and heavy afternoon down by the stream changes everything. Sebastian father Alfred wants him to get engaged so it’s looks like he is settling down to the British public and the bad press was all a lie and now the royal advisers will find someone for him but before things get any worse he tells his father that he already is engaged to Ava Morrison and now he has to ask her to fake being engaged to him so his family will leave him alone. He asks Ava and she agrees to help him and that’s where it all starts. Will it work out and do they stay together or will all the stress tear there fake engagement apart, read this book you know you want to.
This was a great offering in the form of a royal romance. I think this journey was more about the h than the H. We find two people who are at a crossroads in their life journeys. One knows where they want to go they just need to decipher how to get there. The other needs to take stock of their surrounding, make a plan, plan to get on the road, then literally get on the road to get there. I love Alpha men but there's a difference between an Alpha who is righteously indignant and an Alpha who is being aggressive because they are hiding their fear of being discovered for who they really are. SPOILER ALERT: I was totally enchanted with the h as she is a woman of substance and character who was aware of the world around her and it's issues pertaining to women and dared to leave the easy road behind her to forge a new path into activism for women in the workplace... VERY COMMENDABLE!!! The issue I had with the H is that I don't think he was as mature as the h. It's not attractive to the party guy in your 30's especially when you are a part of a royal family... knowing it's expected that he buck up and work for the people that support his lifestyle. It is still a little unnerving that even in the end there was no clear idea of what his life will entail... he had no project that he was dedicated to that he could lend his support to in order to make the lives of others better. In that I was a little disappointed. I also feel as though he was very selfish and clueless to the family dynamic. I understand it is an entirely different world with royalty, however, family is what you make it and there was no work being put in on his part.. My mother used to say a closed mouth doesn't get fed. Well if you want a closer relationship with your family open your mouth and talk to them, engage with them and interact with them. Hiding in his part of the castle did not enable him to come to term with what he needed to work on within himself. It was hypocritical of him to think that everyone else was wrong and he was right when he was the one causing the situations that he was in. I think the does he doesn't he and does she doesn't she was drawn out a little long and he ending was shortened a little too much. I mean I thought she was going to be pregnant in the end I know I thought I was... lmbo!!!
All in all I enjoyed this offering and was happy for the H and h in the end. This was a great book and I do recommend it just know this is going to be a twisty kinda ride :)

Royally Protected, Protectors Promise Book Two by Holly Jaymes
Ava Morrison was a child actress in Hollywood but has taken the last five years off to figure what she wants to do with her life. She knows she wants to make a difference in the world, but she isn’t sure how she can make that happen.
Sabastian (Bas) is a Prince and the nephew of the Queen of England. He is considered the black sheep of the family because of his need of one-night stands and partying. He knows that his country looks to him to keep up with traditions and take responsibilities along with his family.
Both Ava and Bas seem to be in the need of a vacation away from their lives. Ava has been trying to figure out her next move for a while. She is unable to decide if she wants to go back to making films or using her fame to bring awareness to the rights of woman and equal pay in Hollywood. Her father keeps telling her that she isn’t getting any younger and to hurry in her decision or her fans will forget her. Bas is hiding from his latest scandal in America. His family has been giving him the cold shoulder because they just don’t know what to do with him anymore and Bas isn’t sure what to do with himself either. Bas knows that he feels stuck and that everyone wants something from him, but they never want to give back. When Ava and Bas come across each other in Aspen in the summer there is an instant attraction to each other. Both feel like media lies about them to make the next scoop without finding the facts behind the real story. When his father gives him an ultimatum about his future Bas turns to only person, he thinks that he can trust, Ava. Can she help him, or will she ask for more than he can give? Will she see the real him or the Prince that the world thinks he is?
What girl doesn’t want to meet her prince charming and be swept off her feet? Bas is the epitome of just that. Ava and Bas come from completely different worlds but have nearly the same problems. Both have people that take and never give in return. Both have problems with the media using them to sell papers or gossip magazines. Ava has a father who wants to use her to get fame and fortune while Bas has a father that doesn’t see him but wants him to be the person, he thinks he needs to be for their country and people of England. Ava and Bas get each other and find trust and understanding. Neither can be themselves except with each other and they take complete joy in it.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the second book in the Protector's Promise series. In this book, Ava is an actress in Hollywood who hasn't made a movie in five years, she focused on equal pay for women lately instead. Her father was pressuring her to make more movies, but she was unsure what she wanted to do. Ava decided to go to Aspen for a vacation in the summer to get away and think. She requested privacy at the resort and was told there was only one other guest and he wanted privacy also. Sebastian was a price from England and he wanted to hide from a recent scandal about one of his former flings. Sebastian wanted some time alone and when he saw Ava walking in the woods, he was stunned by her. Sebastian recognized Ava from a childhood movie she was in and he wanted to get to know her. Ava was attracted to Sebastian and they began talking. There was an attraction between them and soon they gave into it. When Sebastian's father told him he had to get married to please the rest of the family, he told his father he was engaged to Ava. Sebastian then had to get Ava to agree to meet the family to get them to back off. Ava agreed to pretend to be engaged to Sebastian with the agreement they would break up in two months and the press wouldn't find out. I liked this story. I really liked the connection between Ava and Sebastian. I think they were meant to be together and there was an amazing connection from the beginning. I really liked how Sebastian wanted to get to know Ava and how she liked him as a person, not a prince. Good one.
Ava is an actress and she wants a break from everything and ends up in Aspen. Sebastian is a prince and he is in Aspen hiding from a scandal that he didn't mean to happen. They bump into each other on the grounds and sparks fly between them. Sebastian realizes he knows Ava from somewhere and he googles her to find out how. She is his childhood crush from a favorite movie. When they start talking and having dinners together things click for them. However when Sebastian gets a call from home saying he needs to find a decent girl to marry to get away from the scandal he says he is involved with Ava. What will Ava say about him coming out about their relationship without asking her first? Can they have a relationship?
This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

The story about Ava and Sebastian. She's 28 years old actress who hasn't acted in five years. She takes a trip to Aspen to think about her future. There she meets Sebastian. A member of a royal family who is hiding in the US after the scandal. The two of them have chemistry from the moment they set eyes on each other and after a little flirting they act on it. But with his reputation following him everywhere, Sebastian has to make a decision that involves Ava more than she had ever thought possible. This is a sweet short story with a lot of heat. Characters have believable chemistry. I will definitely read more from this author. I received an ARC of this book, through Booksprout, in exchange for an honest review.
What a lovely story. Two celebrities meet in an exclusive ski resort in Aspen during the low season in summer. Both are seeking privacy. Then they meet and the sparks begin to flow! Even though both have to resolve their private issues, the pull is to strong and it becomes clear they share strong chemistry. He a member of the British royal family, she a known US actor, the sympathy and attraction is so strong that they come together very quickly and she is going to help him with his over bearing family. When she agrees to help him out she does not know how high the prize will be for her, especially when she discovers that her feelings are stronger then expected Both are very nice described characters and an excellent storytelling
I finished this book with a huge smile on my face, it was a really sweet love story! I felt for and believed in the caracters and hoped for a happy ending throughout the story! It felt a little like this story was a tiny bit inspired by recent events in England and a certain Prince marrying an american actress, but with a different spin to it! I really liked this story though so if you are looking for a sweet story that makes you smile and fall for the caracters, then I really recommend this story!

The story is loosely based on Meghan and Harry. A Royal and and actress meet and fall in love. Sebastian and Ava are in Aspen at the same time, both trying to hide from the media and it’s invasion of their lives. They are attracted to each other. They also find that they can help each other out by sticking together. The plot is good and the story flows. It is short and easy to read with no major distracting dialogue.

This beautiful and well-written storyline has plenty of steam, drama, a fake engagement, and pressuring parents. The H/h are defined, with the H being a Prince who needs some alone time is being pressured to settle down, while the h, a Hollywood Actress also needing a respite from the cameras serendipitously meet, have a great time then pretend to be engaged to appease the King. I found this read to be entertaining, engaging and enjoyable.

Ava was fleeing LA and pressure of work. Sebastian was escaping home and scandal. Both sought privacy at the same lodge. Attracted and drawn to each other they resisted baser instincts until Bas found Ava in an enticing situation. Bas needs help with his family and Ava agrees to help, emotions, insecurities,, and love.

Ava and Bas have just arrived in Aspen to hide out. She's a child star and is trying to make a decision about the rest of her life and he's a Prince hiding from a scandal. They meet and have a connection, then he needs help and comes up with a plan. It doesn't go well! Shades of Prince Harry and Megan?

The book doesn't like as I expected. I think anyone who like a fairy tale story will like this book but for me, it kinds of boring. Don't get me wrong the writing is good but I think the story is not my type that all.

I have read a few of Holly's books now and really enjoy reading them. This was a book about Prince Charming and the Hollywood star. They both knew of each other but had never met before until they both had to get away from family and end up at the same Resort. I liked the characters in this book

A really sweet read! It is beautifully written with a well-developed plot that will grip you from beginning to end. It is relatable, engaging, consistent, and moves at a brisk pace. The characters are likeable, the attraction is instant, and the chemistry is intense and off the charts. A very enjoyable read. Ava a former child star that had taken a break from the Hollywood scene was looking for peace and quiet when she happens upon Bas, "Sebastian", a slightly disgraced Royal, looking for the same thing. Though they come from different worlds they share a kindred spirit.
The story line was good. The characters were well developed. I enjoyed reading this book.

I was not impressed with this book. This was very close to the real life of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Down to the part of her father. The only changes was how they portrayed her mother and the fake engagement. No creativity.
I enjoyed this book. The characters and the story were good. A prince and an actress pretending to be in love that turns into a hot and steamy romance. Another great read from Holly.
