Such a beautiful devotional it’s amazing!!!
It was really good to listen to and full of knowledge and grace. I love how each chapter is set out with scriptures, quotes, reflections. Beautifully written, sometimes it’s hard to see blessings through tough times or that maybe God is using that hard time to bless you in a way that you can’t see yet.

Not as good as the book she wrote

This was ok and I realize it is intended as a devotional but it is not as good as her book When God Doesn't Fix If. There were too many one line quotes and not enough substance. 3.5

Very good devotional based on Laura Story's hit song. I also love that they have quotes from famous Christians and from the Bible at the end of each section.

I loved the song and I love the devotional. Laura Story shows us is this 30 day devotional that if we trust God, even when things aren't going the way we would like and had planned that He will bless usin ways we could never have imagined. I have seen this in my life. Going through tough times isn't fun but God can take that tough time and bring Himself glory through it.

In this devotional Laura addresses a topic, gives quotes from other Christians about the topic, follows that with Bible verses that shows God's word on the topic and then wraps it up.

I enjoyed the devotional and this is another example of God using what Laura and her husband are going through to bring Him glory by touching the lives of so many others.

It's a 30-day devotional that I couldn't wait 30 days to finish. I needed so much of this each day that I couldn't put it down after I "finished" the reading for the day.

I love how well this is put together. Each chapter starts with a featured verse and theme, then there's a 1-2 page narrative, followed by a featured quote from a familiar author. Then there's an additional page with 4-5 more timely quotes from a variety of other established leaders with related perspectives, and a corresponding page of Bible verses for additional study.

I found countless quotes, thoughts, and verses to be relevant and helpful. I would read this again.

There were times when I feverishly copied down the thoughts of Laura Story in her devotional, "What if Your Blessings Come Through Raindrops." However, for the most part, I struggled to truly connect with her words. Despite including the thoughts of important Biblical figures, as well as modern-day Christian heroes and heroines, this book lacked a bit of depth.

So I feel like this started out really good then kinda wained into just an average religion book with kinda normal stuff but still an okay read, especially if you don't read many religious things, it could be all new to you.

Enjoyed this devotion. I guess I was hoping she would have shared more personal story from her own life but it really helped me work through some things over the time I read and wrote with it.

Story's book by the same title breaks down the verses of her song into thirty chapters that can be used as a devotional. For instance, in chapter 18 entitled "When We Cry Out in Anger," Story writes, "Sometimes, it's very easy to become angry: angry with ourselves, angry with other people, and even angry with God. Sometimes, we face life-threatening situations that shake us to the very core of our souls. but more often than not, our frustrations are of the more mundane variety. More often than not, we are angereed not by earth-shaking events, but by the inevitable distractions and disappointments of everyday living: jammed traffic, difficult people, financial headaches, and a near-endless stream of minor inconveniences masquerading as major hardships. Our challenge is this: to display anger when it is appropriate and to rein in our tempers when it is not. How can we learn to maintain better control over our tempers? We do so by learning to focus our thoughts, not on the inevitable disappointments of life, but instead upon the innumerable blessings that God has given us (Philippians 4:8). When we allow our faith in God to become the cornerstone and the touchstone of our lives, we cultivate trust in the righteousness of His plans. When we do so, we begin to see God's hand as it works in every aspect of our lives - in good times and in hard times - as He uses every circumstance to fulfill His plan for us. So the next time you become frustrated by the inevitable challenges of life, do yourself a favor: turn away from anger and turn, instead, to God. Turn to Him, as best you can, with open hands, a clear mind, and a trusting heart. When you do, you'll discover that defeating anger is difficult but not impossible - because with God, all things are possible."

In each chapter, Story also includes quotes from notable Christians that are related to the subject of the chapter. She also includes Scripture and a section to journal your own thoughts. She ends the book with additional Scripture on a variety of topics. This small book of 220+ pages is an excellent addition to any library or better yet - your coffee table! Share it with friends and strangers alike.

As far as devotionals go, I'd rate this one okay. I was hoping for more depth (which seems increasingly difficult to find in daily devotionals these days). And as an editor, the periodic typos drove me batty. For the most part, I enjoyed the devotionals themselves, and of course I appreciated the inclusion of several Bible verses for each day's devotion. I honestly would have preferred more of those to all of the quotations from other writers, many of which I felt fell into the category of Christian platitudes.

Regardless, I'm glad I read this devotional, and I know from past experience that even if the messages I've read don't resonate with me at that particular moment, they often become useful in the future, to me or someone else.

I love the song this book is based off (the singer is also the author of the devotional). If you have never heard it, go to youtube and check it out. It is really encouraging for the dark times of life. Yet, I'm not too impressed with the book. Now, the book is good but felt the devotional part was too short; more times than not, only a page in length. My favorite parts were the quotes of others like C.S. Lewis, Billy Graham, and St. Augustine and bible verses that spoke on the topic for that day. I felt I got the most out of those. So, while this was a good book, I felt there could have been more for the main part, the devotional part, then there was.

Laura is an amazing inspiration. The book is written in a way that you feel as though you are there with her on her journey with her husband. I highly recommend this book for all to read, but especially if a family member has gone through a hardship. It teaches us how to find blessings even in our storms.

I tried so hard to get into this book. I LOVE the song!! But the devotionals were so short. I'm not a fan of devotions in general and these were even more shallow than most. I'm sure others will receive a blessing from the book but it wasn't for me.

I read the chapters here and there it is a topic book if you care to call it that way. The Author includes quotes and scripture dealing with the topic at hand. Very soothing and comforting material to read...
