Issues
I have issues with this one and I am not reading any more of the series. I get hung up on being married and saying you are in love and then having kinky sex with someone else. Just doesn’t work for me at all. Again pure sex in all shapes and forms. Kink in all shapes and forms.

Brandese was getting on my last nerve.
There seems to be some time-line issues going on here, as well.
It's almost as if books 1 & 3 were split but book 2 was slotted in.
Seriously, Brandese was a pain in the ass. She ruined it for me.

I discovered the series as I was scrolling through my Kindle Unlimited selections. I couldn't leave the series until I had read all three books.
The stories were exciting and fun to read. There is intrigue and eroticism and laughter.
Book three is about the Royal Princess and her headstrong, independent personality. She cannot stay out of trouble. When she is purchased for marriage by the Kong's adviser the fireworks fly.
Discipline and strong sexual appetites out them on a roller coaster ride of dominance and submission.

A Princess with a quest for knowledge, experimentation and everything in-between
Princess Brandese had run away so that she had not got to wed an alien off worlder and she had been tracked down by Evston Calex a stern and somewhat idolized figure in the eye of the Princess as he never stood for any nonsense and also had disciplined her on more than one occasion.
When the Princess is returned to her father at the palace, she realises that the only option left is to state that she is no longer pure, her worth to her father has totally been lost and he only wants to hide her away in an institution. Lord Evston and his brother decide that the only option available is for Evston to offer a bride price to the king and when the fuss about her not marrying a Barbarian they will then have a royal wedding, he had always wanted the Calex blood to mix with that of royalty.
Evston is aware that the Princess has lied about the man she has slept with, the name she gave was one from characters in the banned books she liked to steal from the palace and read, he quickly advises her that she will be both his wife and his pet, this is the way Calex men have lived and loved for years and he wants to share this with her, he knows she is highly sexual, curious but also stubborn however he believes he is the man that can master her body, mind and soul…..
A really great sexual read, the characters and the situations were well written and once started impossible to put down until I knew the outcome.

His Caged Princess doesn't disappoint.
What a wild, wet, sexy ride. This story really surprised me in a very good way. Intrigue and rebellion, parental deception and sisterly love. Plus much more. Looks like a very good series.

I'm really not sure I enjoyed the Characters Lord Evston, Rokurt, and his little pet girl but the princess Brandese she was immature and suppose to be very smart but came off very ignorant. She ran away to a submissive program to escape being married off to a barbarian and inadvertently put her self right in Lord Evstons path. She thought she wanted him, she thought she liked the idea of being submissive, but she really didn't know crap. The whole book she was back and forth one minute she's all good next minute she's running it was very irritating and confusing. I think the very worst part for me was when she got word that her sister had been given to the barbarian in her place she really made her self look like a spoiled brat...i really am not sure if I would recommend this one or not but hey it's free under KU so you can make your own opinion.

Brands secretly loved Evson and he secretly loved Brande. But Princess Brandese was a wild child. She needed a safe firm hand. Ev provided her training into pet play. Brande realized that she would have to become his submissive pet as well as his wife. She finally accepted that side of her own desires. That way she could satisfy all of each other. This book is pure BDSM themes and lots of sex. But there's also a deep understanding of love for each other. Brande finally found the love she needed to be settled and not need to run. In a lot of ways, this is a beautiful love story with a kinky side. I recommend it to anyone who wants something different and is an adult reader.

So back in the Book One we met Evston Calex (who we thought was our male lead when the story started) and Princess Brandese (who had a brief appearance).
It turns out that everything we were told about Brande in Book Two was a lie and she isn't actually missing although she did run away.
I've read a lot of books where she was into TPE and he wasn't because it was a bit too much work. In this one, Evston really wants that sort of relationship and Brande is more of a Bedroom Submissive. They have a lot to work out.
I really liked this one because the conflict between the two characters added a lot to the story as they tried to reach a compromise. And I always like a Submissive who will stand up for herself to get what she wants.

Evston is a solid dom
This was a good book. A royal advisor brought a spoiled princess to heel for her terrible behavior. Disobedient, Stubborn, and Over indulged the little spitfire insisted on having her way in all things so her father the king decided to marry her off. Ev was her perfect match since he trained her to his hand. Good little story. 🙂

Man, I cant get over Marlee's imagination. Each book I have read is just sexy, sensual and oh so naughty! Full of spankings, sassy woman and dominant males!

Brande is a quite over the top brat and become tiresome after a while. Evston and Rocurt know what they want but don’t seem quite up to handling Brande. I did like that the King was going to get his in the end. Overall a good story.

INTERESTING TO BE SURE, BUT I'M NOT A BIG FAN OF SHARING LOVERS IN BED BECAUSE THREE IS A CROWD. THIS ONE INVOLVES A LOT OF SUBMISSIVE AND DOM PLAY, WHICH IS VERY STIMULATING BUT PLOT WISE, THE EMOTIONS JUST WEREN'T ENOUGH.
LORD EV is an interesting character to be sure, but sometimes he's so vague apart from his being an apparent Master and Dom, I don't really know WHO HE IS. What's his family background or his past or whatever the hell is he doing besides being the King's legal advisor. Ev's character lacked emotion - the kind that matters. Even if he says he loves Brandese, I just never felt it...I was merely being told. His interactions with Brandese itself is definitely unusual, and they are an unusual couple who enjoy playing games with each other and pushing the others' buttons. Stubborn and wanting to win everytime. Ev is very close with his brother, and that's where the sharing of pets come in. I'm just glad I didn't have to read Ev fucking someone else though I can't say the same for our heroine.
BRANDESE is a total rebel. When her Father forces her to marry a barbaric Kettaran warrior, she hightails away seeking an 'adventure'. Well, mainly Brandese has been infatuated and then in love with Ev for several years and all she wants to do is get to know him better, but he evades her (believing she can do better than him). Her adventure brings her to a testing center where they train people to become pets and that's where Ev aka Master V finds her. In the end, to save her reputation and such, Ev proposes to marry her. While he was being selfless in the beginning, the moment the King renounced his daughter's worth, Ev vows to protect her and offers his own name to the woman he loves. Brandese's own challenge lies in participating in a whole new culture of subservience which she obviously lacks, for the man she loves.
OVERALL it was interesting but because it lacked the weaving of emotional values that I prefer, I had to say this one was more smutty than romantic.

I really liked book 1, didn't like book 2 as much, but liked book 3 more. The Princess Brande was spoiled and headstrong and not suited as a pet, but the Lord Evston was intrigued by her and wanted to see if he could tame her. And we get our main couple from book 1 for some play as well. M/F, M/F/M, and one scene with M/F/M/F. Owner/Pet also.
Not a dark romance though. Not very sci-fi either. But a good book nonetheless.

Okay so story starts with good plot, but in between it looses its charm! I had high hopes with story taking its shape.
Highly exaggerated with poor background also Princess wanted a freedom, it would have been more interesting if Hero would have accepted what she was and vica versa - this acceptance was shown only in last pages!

Good. Think my favorite part was when she teases him in the restaurant and he’s unable to do anything. In return he swaps her drink with a drugged one and has her kidnapped and delivered back to his room.

A beautiful story, A little dark, A little dirty, I absolutely loved Brande! Her personality made this entire book exciting to read. You never knew what fresh mischief she'd be up to, and she never shied from the consequences. As bold as she was, Ev was her exact opposite, but you still got the connection. I highly recommend reading this series!

This series really reminds me of The Men of August by Lora Leigh. There is this delicious tension when Ev shared her with his brother, but absolute unease where he also helps his brother with his pet.

Officially book 3 of the 'Owned and Shared' series, His Caged Princess, can be read as book 2 (I prefer that order) and works as a stand-alone. It features the wilful princess Brandese as well as the main characters from 'Owning Their Pet', including the delightful Melisant, and commanding Rocurt (the man in all of these stories who attracts me the most!). Brandese is obsessed with the - romantically reserved - Evston, and is unhappy that she has been promised to a Ketturan warrior with no say in the matter. She flees and tries to find out what it is like to be a 'pet' as she knows that interests Evston. Evston takes her in hand, and the contrary princess alternately submits and resists, unable or unwilling to be what Evston needs.
As this beautiful and highly intelligent couple struggle to find out what each truly wants, the reader is treated to steaming hot scenes of sex and punishment.
