I have loved you for a thousand years, I’ll love you for a thousand more… :))))

I admit that after reading this book, I won't doubt the work that goes into making a movie, much less those which are adaptations of a book.
All the filming process, how to create the effects, try to live up to expectations, joint work and all the attention to details that required the film astounded me.
Obviously I know that to do something for the big screen is complicated, but these few pages made me see the reality at its 100% of how everything's behind the camera.
There are so many fun facts, many anecdotes, many techniques and symbolism in the film that I'm sure to see her again, I'm going to do, do not look the same as before.
Photos are simply perfect. Taken at the right time, in the perfect plane, with every detail carefully. It helped me get a better idea of how everything worked.
Simply wonderful: I felt I was there with all equipment, next to Chris as he led his team, that whole arsenal of people perfectly organized to liven up the film that many of us like.
I definitely think buy books from other deliveries.
If you want to learn more about filmmaking, knowing the techniques used, references, well, this will be a great reference book.

I have to say that after reading this book and scrutinizing every GORGEOUS photo, I am -- dare I say -- even more excited for the movie than I was before! And if you know me, you know how excited I've been. It appears that New Moon is going to be so much better than Twilight, in so many ways. (Remember how awful Rosalie's hair was in Twilight?? Well, it's a wig this time around! Thank goodness! And the red and yellow contacts look amazing. Plus, the "sparkle in the sunlight" effect sounds like it's gonna rock this time around!) CAN'T WAIT to see the book come to life later this week!

This is a collection that shows what went into the production of the movie "New Moon." From actors to scenery - this book shows some of the more complex aspects of film making.

Students might fins this book entertaining because it focuses not only on a popular movie, but the movie making process in general. Students might like creating their own make believe movie and writing up all the processes that would go into the movie.

One of the few informative texts that I had prior to this class and one that I still enjoy. The images are clear and crisp and I like finding out some more information that goes on behind the scenes of film making.

Lots of good pictures, but they can't compare with the living, breathing people I watched on screen yesterday. The movie gave tantalizing glimpses of the sense of family felt by both the Cullens and the werewolf pack. Pictures just don't recreate those heartwarming scenes.

A detailed account of the filming would have been enjoyable, but Vaz and Summit Entertainment have withheld the most interesting stuff. No on-location vignettes, mostly generalities. I gave it 3 stars because even the generalities are interesting to this Twilight fan.

I enjoyed this book as I did the Twilight Movie Companion. It is facinating all the work that goes into making a movie. I love learning about the attention to details required to make a good movie. I also enjoyed reading some of the thoughts of the cast and crew. There are lots of great photographs in the book.

I enjoyed this one a bit more than the first one. With the first, I knew a lot of those things because I was a diehard Twilight fan (I mean, I still am) so I had already researched a ton of stuff in its prime, so I found the book boring. The best thing about this one was the comparison between the first and second films, discovering all the things that changed that I hadn't noticed, and I got a better look at the behind the scenes of making a movie.
I would've liked more info about the cast, but that's just my brain thinking this book is YouTube about to give me the best blooper footage ever.

This book is an easy read but still offers some interesting insights into making New Moon, with quotes from actors and crew. It is a coffee table book so expect lots of large glossy photos.

This one wasn't much better than the first one. This one does talk about how they made the wolves, which was interesting. I love the pictures of Bellas' birthday party, when Edward leaves her, and the beach scenes. All of the pictures are beautiful!
I think the pictures are better in this second book. The pictures of Edward and Bella are more romantic. The pictures seem clearer and more professional. Maybe it's just me.
One thing that is better about this book, more seems to happen in the sequel and so the author had more to write about. A lot of the stuff going on in this story was interesting. The first one was pretty much just one story line, but this second one is more like two.
The books are better than the movies and the movies are better than the companions. I guess that's how it with most things though. I don't know why, but just like me having a hard time reading these books, I'm having a hard time writing this post. Part of it, I'm having a hard time finding good things to say about these books. I am glad that there are four of these books, otherwise this blog post would be very short.

Basically to some the whole book up Bella which is Edwards girlfriend is wanted by The Collins which is Edwards family Enemies which are vampires as well as the collins family because in the first book and movie edward has to kill Victory's boyfriend because he wanted to kill Bella make her into a vampire. and Edward doesnt want that to happen so he had to kill Victory boyfriend before he could even get any closer to Bella and her family as he threaten to do so. Soo the new moon is nothing but trying to get revenage......... The collins had to work with the wolves which bella's bestfriend Jake is one of the wolves and it was kind of difficult to manage to do so because Edward doesnt get alone with Jake because jake tries to make moves on Bella repeadly after knowing that she haves a boyfriend. But ontop of that the vampires never got along with none of the wolves because vampires have to kill humans in order to stay alive very much differ from what the wolves had to do. They got to live like normal human beings much easier for them to live their life.

New Moon Complete Illustration Companion
Brief Summary: This book consists of pictures of scenes from New Moon, quotes from the cast and crew of the making of the movie, and information about the movie-making process of New Moon.

Bad points: This was really hard to get through. Some of was interesting. A lot of it wasn’t. I think it was because it was a written telling of how New Moon was made. Personally *I* would have liked this better if it was an actual television special of how the film was made. The font was too light and my eyes did not like that so I tried to listen to it on a reader. Let’s just say the *reader* didn’t read this very well either.

Good points: 1. The screens for the movie looked REALLY good! 2. I really liked hearing about how Stephanie was consulted about every single detail. If I ever had a book series that was turned into a movie franchise, that would be very important to me. It shows a lot of respect to the author to want to get their vision just right and the way THEY want it. Not the way the director thinks it should be. I see so many television and shows that go in a totally different direction just because that’s how *they* see it. It’s not cool to mess with someone’s *baby* and plus the fans *WILL* notice and they’ll pick it apart if it’s not accurate. 3. I loved reading about what it took to do the transformation scene from Jacob to a werewolf. I am in complete awe of this scene every time I watch. After I read about I had to put the movie on and watch that scene several times! I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that even though I’ve seen movies and shows with special effects this is the BEST one I have ever seen EVER! Taylor Lautner did AMAZING hitting his mark every time. Even fact they were all troopers. The actress who played Victoria who had to hop from tree to tree while hitting her head and the scratches she took, all the while saying “Let’s do it!” Kristen Steward for hanging in there while getting dunked constantly for the scene where she nearly kills herself. They were all really courageous for doing these stunts.

Rating: 6 Even though this book was informative, I still think I would have liked to see a live version of this book with the actors, Stephanie Myers, and all the rest actually talking and them SHOWING us how the making of it was done.

New Moon begins with our narrator in deep trouble, running against a clock, chiming in "the end of everything" (Preface.1). Avid readers of Twilight already know that the narrator is none other than our protagonist, Isabella "Bella" Swan. (Catch up on all the juicy details of Twilight in our full discussion on Shmoop.)

Bella is still living in rainy Forks, Washington with her dad, Charlie. She just spent a dreamy summer with her vampire love, Edward, and now it’s time to go back to school. She also just turned eighteen – a painful reminder that her human clock is ticking while Edward will stay young and handsome forever. To Bella’s major distress, Edward still refuses to turn her into a vampire.

When the Cullens (Edward’s vampire family) throw a birthday party for Bella at their house, clumsy Bella gets a paper cut while unwrapping one of her presents, and spills a little blood. Jasper Cullen, still struggling with his family’s no-human diet, loses control and attacks Bella. Edward fights him off but, in the process, the boys wreck the house and leave Bella with a gushing wound on her arm. Everyone except for the head of the family, Carlisle Cullen, and Edward, hurries out with pinched noses to escape the tempting smell of Bella’s blood.

Thanks to Carlisle’s profession as a doctor for the past 300 some years, he’s immune to the lure of human blood. As he stays with Bella, she complains that if Edward had made her a vampire already, these accidents wouldn’t be happening. Carlisle reveals that the reason Edward refuses to change her is that he believes vampires don’t have a soul and therefore no chance for an afterlife.

While Bella dismisses the Jasper incident as a minor family quarrel, Edward is visibly shaken and withdraws emotionally from Bella. On a walk in the woods, he tells her he wants a safe, human life for her, which is why he and his family are leaving town – without her. "It will be as if I’d never existed" (3.193), he says, and takes off.

Bella’s life is shattered. Several months pass during which she vegetates in zombie-like depression. There’s a deep, aching hole in her chest in place of her heart and she wonders if it will ever heal.

One day Bella discovers that, if she does reckless things, she can hear Edward’s voice clearly in her head. Feeling him close eases her pain. So she embarks on several reckless adventures just to coax Edward’s voice into her head.

Bella’s need for a mechanic causes her to renew her relationship with Jacob Black, the handy young son of Charlie’s best friend Billy, from La Push Indian Reservation. Two years younger than Bella, Jacob has had a crush on Bella since the first time they met. He also unwittingly told her that Edward was a "cold one," a vampire. Bella is surprised to see that Jacob has grown into a handsome young man. Always happy and supportive, he quickly becomes Bella’s healing balm, soothing some of the cracks in her broken heart. They become best friends. It’s obvious that Jacob has romantic feelings for Bella. Although she makes no secret out of the fact that she still loves Edward, she also has trouble curbing Jacob’s romantic advances because being around him makes her happy, something she hasn’t felt for a long time.

On a visit to the meadow in the woods where Edward once brought her, Bella meets Laurent, a vampire of the same coven (group) as James, the vampire who attempted to kill Bella in Twilight. Laurent tells Bella that James’s mate, Victoria, wants to kill Bella to take revenge for Edward killing James. Only Laurent is thirsty and has decided to kill Bella himself. Before he can attack, though, a pack of giant wolves appear out of the woods and chase Laurent away.

Later, Jacob tells Bella about a gang of boys down in La Push who also seem to be up to no good. Jacob fears that their leader, Sam Uley, will force him to join. When Jacob suddenly starts avoiding Bella, she thinks Sam finally got to him. Trying to save Jacob from the gang, Bella discovers that Jacob has instead morphed into a werewolf. In fact, Jacob was one of the giant wolves that saved her from Laurent. According to ancient Quileute legend, selected men from the Quileute tribe turn into werewolves to protect humans from getting eaten by vampires. Long ago, the werewolves made a peace treaty with Carlisle Cullen on the condition that the Cullens refrain from eating humans.

Jacob vows that he and his wolf pack will protect Bella from the vampire Victoria and that he’ll always be her friend – and maybe more, if she’s ready. Bella is torn about what to do.

In the meantime, on another reckless adventure to hear Edward’s voice, Bella goes cliff jumping. Jacob barely saves her from drowning.

On her return home, Bella finds Alice Cullen, who is shocked to see Bella alive. Due to her future-seeing skills, Alice saw Bella jump off a cliff. But it turns out she can’t "see" werewolves, so she believed Bella committed suicide.

Edward hears the false news of Bella’s death and he decides to go to Italy to provoke the Volturi, and ancient vampire family, to take his life too. The Volturi are in charge of enforcing rule number one of vampiredom: don’t reveal to any humans that you are a vampire! That’s why Edward plans to walk out into the sun at noon – exposing his sparkly vampire skin – in Volterra's center plaza.

However, Bella has gone to Italy in search of Edward and saves him from exposing himself in the nick of time. But they get kidnapped by the Volturi anyway. Aro, the leader of the Volturi, forces Edward to make a decision: either he changes Bella into a vampire or she has to die, because she knows vampires exist. Through Alice’s vision of Bella’s future, Aro sees that Bella will become a vampire and releases them.

At home, Edward and Bella re-declare their love for each other, but trouble looms on the horizon. Jacob and his werewolf pack warn Bella that if she transforms into a vampire, their pre-existing treaty will force them to attack the Cullens. Bella is faced with a tough choice. Yet, with Edward back at her side forever, she believes that she can face anything

5/5 stars. Another great book that depicts not only how The Twilight Saga New Moon was made but how much effort it takes to create a movie, as well. I loved how the cast talked about their experiences and what needed to be done for certain scenes. For example: Jacob’s house was found near the edge of the Quileute’s land and belonged to a sheep farmer. The movie crew removed the fence and painted the barn from green to red. I never would have known that if I didn’t read this book. Also, I have a greater respect for CG (computer generated) graphics now. Thanks to reading pages upon pages of how many months of studying and trial and error that it took to make the perfect werewolf. Overall, a fantastic, quick, easy read, I would definitely recommend this to anyone (especially people who want to go into the film industry), is a favorite of mine, a reread, and I can’t wait to read the next book in this movie companion series.
