Sci-Fi and romance with space travel!
Captured by the Hawk is an equal mix of science fiction and romance, with space travel! It's also a fast-paced adventure. Grey Kat, or Katrina, is a high-born, fearless thief of secrets with a loyal space ship crew. The mysterious pirate Black Hawk plunders an evil interstellar empire. Sparks fly when they meet, followed by a cautious alliance. This book is well written, with good plot twists and a satisfying conclusion.

A great, quick read. The characters are likeable and easy to identify with. I found myself liking Hawk from the start, although perhaps Cat's attraction to him happened a little quickly, but nevertheless they were a really good match for each other. The action came thick and fast, and kept me turning the pages. Despite a couple of instances of deus ex machina, this is after all meant to be a fun read and I don't think it's intended to be taken too seriously, so a few coincidences are acceptable. I enjoyed this book very much and I think it will appeal to lovers of romance in a futuristic setting.

Not very believable. Kat, an “interstellar spy,” steals government codes, fails to notice a security camera, runs away, doesn’t change her costume, gets caught by an infamous pirate who immediately trusts her to assist him, ... Reads like a young adult tale. The characters are rather superficial but the dialogue is good.

Space adventure with a mysterious interstellar spy and a reclusive pirate. I'm not a fan of the writing but the premise was fun and the way everything was resolved was pretty good. Some of the actions of the two protagonists didn't really make sense and their behavior and feelings were all over the place, but if you can overlook that, the story wasn't bad.

Mildly amusing tale of pirates, ambassadors, emperors and their colliding worlds. Of course, it all works out in the end, and it might be interesting to look for more stories based in this universe, but I'm not hunting for them specifically, though if I run across them, I'll certainly take a stab at them.

Thrilling chase through space as the pirate and the spy run from the Emperor’s wrath. Could there be love in the air?

Not bad

I really liked this story. There's spying, danger, mystery, and adventure. There's also a whirlwind romance. What more do you want?

A space romp across the galaxy with a splash of romance.

I read this while I'm still in the middle of reading a much bigger book so that I don't fall behind on this year's 52 book reading challenge. It's quirky, it's fun and it's a decent read. It's a been a while since I've read a Sci Fi book and this didn't disappoint me. The characters are great and the whole thing is just a fun piece of escapism. I see it more as an adventure book than a comedy.

Harmless fun and a cool way to spend a few hours.

Not what was expected. Aurora's story of a space faring thief who ends up kidnapped by a pirate and ends up on a journey that changes her life. Good clean story and a quick read. I loved that there was a begining, middle, and end without fluff.
Loved it and will look for more of her stories.
Definately recommend this book.

Stupid. DNF at 63 of 76 pages. I first suspected it was stupid when the heroine, a supposed spy/thief, did not strip off her thieving coveralls to reveal a different outfit and was of course captured. The hero is a failed attempt at an alpha, who ends up being annoying.
