Hope is futile when you run further into the darkness.
After a partial victory that leaves them more broken than they can handle, Sophie’s group is splintered when Valor abandons the pack. But walking away won’t be so easy. Actions have consequences, and Valor will reap an unexpected harvest that’s sure to wreck the people he’s trying to save.
To ensure Sophie is never again tormented by the vengeful being that has plagued her, she, Carrigan, Hagan, and Jonas must track down a powerful amulet for Elowen.
But the great mage has plans of her own and the price for her services could rip Sophie from her men forever.

This is the third book in the Twin Rivers Possession trilogy.
This is a great conclusion to a great series; I hate that this is the end of this series!
I love that we get to see from the beginning how much Sophie actually cares for her men.
The scenes are very touching and emotional and this continues through the whole story.
The progression of the story feels very natural and nothing feels forced at all with the writing.
In this Sophie's group have had a bit of success in their search for the amulet for Elowen. If they can find it and get it to her, Sophie will be free from the spirit who has been controlling her.
I won't get into any more details as I don't want to ruin it for anyone.
Read and find out if Sophie is going to be freed.
I have loved this series and this was a wonderfully written conclusion.
Recommend Reading.

Book two of this series—with a night a passion shared between Sophie and all of her men—ended with more questions than answers. Book three adds more, as the five people involved try to figure out their roles in this complex web of relationships. Valor seems most affected and leaves the group. Those that remain have much to figure out with their next steps, both personally and with the greater dangers that exist outside the group. I quite enjoy Sophie’s sweet, empathetic relationship with each of her men. She suffers when they suffer. If she has any regrets about anything, they are about how what happens impacts her men. The author does an excellent job of showing Sophie's evolving relationship with each of her men. All the relationships are certainly not in the same place. Even though it's an RH story, I find I enjoy the little moments the most—when she's giving reassurance or accepting some or when a comforting embrace or word is given; I enjoy seeing these small emotional connections that can mean so much in a relationship. This actually made a small problem for me. Sometimes the language used in the sensual scenes came across as crude given how endearing the moments outside of the bedroom often were. I've enjoyed reading about these characters in the last three books and am sorry to see the series end.

I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.

Well then...

Soo the 2nd book was definitely the best of the three. This last one didn’t quite live up to what I had hoped. I definitely feel maybe like things were rushed a little but in a slow way. If that makes any sense. Like I could tell the book was ending and that I wasn’t going to be happy with ending. It’s like Sophie is so strong in her magic but she isn’t. Like she can break through charms and spells that ward against being found but can’t control her fire.

And then like with Valor and him biting everyone was good and bad. But it was kind of glossed over like it was no big deal. But in the entirety of the series he has been made out to be this big bad vampire. Even though Sophie loves him and the guys care for him they still should have been a moment where they were upset with him. Even his explanation for why he left was said as if they knew what he did. Even though they didn’t.

It was just so anticlimactic. And I’m not particularly happy about it. I feel like it could be so much more than what it was. Which is why I gave 3 stars.

Absolutely loved this

Very well written RH story about an elemental witch cursed with a strong bond to "Mother Nature" who uses her as a conduit and who is also a magic dampener - all those with magic who go within a certain distance of her automatically lose access to their magic. So when Mother send her on a quest to see a powerful mage she decides to request for a removal of the inherent magic that has caused so much heartbreak for her since childhood. But on her arrival in the magic town closest to the forest where the mage lives she meets 4 men, with an abilities so severe that when they meet her and find relief for the first time they refuse to leave her side. This book is the navigation of Sophies quest on behalf of Mother, her kindling friendships and budding relationships with these wonderfully damaged men, interspersed with terrifying adventures, danger and a wonderful journey to find her true home - it really is a fantastic read. I read all 3, straight up, couldn't put them down. Loved them.

I really enjoyed this series, there wasn’t any petty jealousy between the guys and it makes complete sense for them to be this beautifully harmonious pack together.

It was interesting that we met a demon in this book and I love how they cared for her after her trauma!

And then again when we find out it’s not who we originally thought that had possessed our girl & then one of her guys it was a child predator who had done unspeakable things to the ancient witch in the woods years ago. I love that she got her closer and I hope she will become more compassionate after this as she starts to heal.

I’m worried when they keep talking about having the next 80 years together that eventually everyone will die leaving out vampire all alone once again. I hope they can find a way of connecting their life forces so they can have an extended life or that if one dies they all go together…. Or just all become vampires 😆

The spice was great in these books too!

Sophie's group have had a bit of success in their search for the amulet for Elowen. If they can find it and get it to her, Sophie will be free from the spirit who has been controlling her. But then, Valor leaves the group - the vampire feels guilty for what has occurred, and doesnt think he deserves to be with them. Will Sophie and her remaining three be able to find him and convince him that he is part of their pack and belongs with them? And will they be successful in finding the amulet and convincing Elowen to do the honourable thing once she has it in her possession? I have loved every book in this brilliant trilogy!

My feelings:

Didnt realised when I started this it was like book 3 of a series and I was starting in the middle. Got about 40% of the way though and wasn’t feeling it.

“Everything I select, I put it through the test of “can I see Sophie wearing this while she rolls her eyes at me?” If I can, I smirk and add it to the cart. If not, I keep looking.”

Ending up Dnf.
Sorry not for me.

“I didn’t mean to.” Her reply is meek, and tinted with shades of distress.”

This is book 3 to the Twin Rivers Possession and it’s a fantastic continuation of this series and I loved it, but it’s the last book of this series and I’m sad that it’s the conclusion. I started this series not knowing who this author is but I’m so glad that I gave first book a try it is an amazing story actually it has been an amazing series but sorry guys no spoilers with this last book. It’s very well written with great characters, very emotional scenes and some steamy scenes to keep you entertained and turning the pages. It’s an amazing story/ series and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

After what Valor did in the previous book, and what he did here in this one, he's lucky to have Sophie. She is also lucky after all she has been through to have Valor, Cary, Jonas and Hagan. I had to laugh at how Jonas reacted during one of the love scenes. I probably would have reacted similarly in his situation. I love Sophie's "no man left behind" attitude when dealing with Elowen. It would have been nice to see some more background regarding who was really possessing Sophie, but there was enough to make the story credible.

September Stone’s Soul Possessed (Twin Rivers Possession, Book 3) does exactly what a really good reverse harem urban fantasy adventure is supposed to do: provide an exciting and compelling story with a believable fantasy / magical system, characters who are genuine notwithstanding the fantasy context, hot guys (hey, it’s a reverse harem story after all). Truly fantastic stuff. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend.

This book fell flat compared to the first two. I kept skimming sections because it seemed like most of it was about how many different ways Sophie could seduce her men. There was a lot of sex which would have been welcomed had it been steamy and exciting. Instead it read like a high school sex-ed pamphlet.

The ending to this drawn out trilogy was also neatly peaked and finished within the last ten pages without much conflict or suspense.

The epilogue wasn't necessary at all as it did nothing to add to the tale.

I would not want to reread this series and I would be hesitant to recommend it to most readers.

I had a hard time pushing through this series but especially THIS book. I am not sure why this book seemed like such a chore, after I enjoyed the last book.
I didn't really feel any satisfaction with the conclusion. Elowen did some super shady things to Sophie's guys, yet we're all just okay with that?! Where is her comeuppance?
Also the epilogue was super lazy.. we are just TOLD they've now been together a year and we are having a HEA. Did Hagan go back to work at the tavern? What is Valor doing now for employment.. if anything.
I am definitely not reading the spinoff, but I might look up other works by this author.

This series was a giant waste of time. The series could have been 1 book shorter with a different male narrator. He made me want to take a nap every time I listened to him. The series could have gone down to one book, if there weren’t constant pointless monologues . They provided little of value, and made the books drag on.
The whole situation with the rapist mate was deplorable! That never should have been in the book. If you decide to put it there. It’s a co-sign to the act of there are no repercussions from the book. It’s no big deal.” It was a huge deal. I kept reading, hoping it would be handled right. It wasn’t, so I will never read this author again.

I love from the very first pages, you get a glimpse into how much Sophie actually cares for her men. The scene is touching and emotional. This carried through out the entire book. The progression of the story is natural and nothing feels forced. I can't believe this is the end of the series! This is a wild ride of a conclusion.

First off. Epic ending! Enough spoilers. I like how this series has enough space for the caracters to form the relationships in a normal pace. I like the caracters and their individual reasons to be with Sophie. This is a must read series. It is highly recommended that you read the books in order because this really is a series and not read as stand-alone.

Good ending!

For all the turmoil and angst that has followed this quartet, the culmination and resolution to the upheaval is satisfying, if a bit lack luster. Oh, it doesn’t lack action or revelation - that is present in spades.... more that I felt there should be more to Ellowen.... an ending that would a pin in her plans. This aspect of Twin Rivers May have told its story, but I feel we’ll be back here again, and see Ellowen again as well.

Hot doesnt do it justice

. When sophie and the guys blow off some steam and get drunk and curteousy of valors venom they all end having sex they also end up bonding as a pack with sophie as the alpha. When valor leaves ridden with guilt over his actions the rest of the pack are left suffering and in desperate need to find him. When they realise hes in the forest and in terrible danger they race to help him. This is full of sexually explicit scenes that are hawt.

What a whirlwind story! 🤯
Hot damn! 🥴🥵💀

Let me tell you... Sophie knows how to pick 'em! 😏

Plus! If y'all keep up with my reviews you know I'm a wh*re for character development and it. is. right. here! 👀

Just do yourself (and your nightstand [shhhh 😉]) a favor, get all three of these books and read them.

All together it took me about a day finish the whole series. It was well worth that day ❤️🔥🌶

Excellent conclusion

Ms. Stone wrapped up this series with a nice little bow all the while setting us up for the next spinoff series. Well done.
This still requires 18+ readers and not for the family library.
I loved how the questions were all answered or most of them anyway, they never did get around to actually removing the collar from Hagan but otherwise I was very satisfied with everything here.

Ends Well

It has a decent conclusion, sort of... The Twin Rivers are still incomplete, Casek is still out there, Ellowen hasn't changed her ways, and I feel largely gypped the plot was overall left unfulfilled. I enjoyed reading the series, all the errors aside, but the end needs to be reworked.

Found a new author to follow!

Last books are hard and can make or break a series and this one doesn't disappoint. I feel happy that she kept her relationship development and plot strong and consistent with no moments I felt like were a fail. I'm extremely impressed and will most definitely be following this author for new releases!

Five stars!!

I loved this series! It was great how the points of view were separated into chapters. This was the last book, they finally got their happily ever after. Lastly, as always, the sex scenes were sexy and sensual.

It over 😒

Now I'm one of those people who purposely don't finish series so it says ongoing, we all have our quirks. This however I just had to finish. Gutted that I did but it was worth it finding out whom mother was and how the harem works together. JL
