I knew there was a reason why I was anticipating this book, Cari Robe you did an AMAZING job giving us Ella’s story. You manage to amaze me with every word, character and story you give us!! You go girl!!

Ella is a young, widowed mother. When her husband/best friend and best friend leave for boot camp her life went a bit crazy but after having her husband home on leave they realize a few things. Little did she know that would be the last time she ever saw him again and that she was now expecting his child. Now 6 years later, her truck breaks down on the way to drop her daughter off at school and the last thing she expects is her life long best friend to show up to help them. With words needing to be said between them Ella can’t fight the pull towards Tommy but will the guilt he has been carrying around since the day his best friend was killed in action prevent him for finally telling Ella how he has always felt about her or will he finally find his happiness with Ella and Lina?? 🖤🖤

This is a new Author for me I found this book to be well written and one I enjoyed reading. Ella Fitzgerald is a young, widowed Mother to a little girl Lina after her military husband Mike died in combat. Tommy Gable comes back into Ella's life six years after Mike's death, the three of them had always been best friends.. This is a second chance story for Ella and Tommy. You don't necessarily have to have read the Mens Calendar counterpart of this book but they complement each other so well that I truly recommend reading them both because you get both sides in such a detailed way that it's a wonder.

I fell in love with this couple in Beach Daze (appearing in Gone Coastal) and their story didn’t disappoint.
This story was from Ella’s POV and it was great to see her side, to see all the characters from her perspective. She changed my opinion on a certain someone who in Men I thought was a douche
I cannot wait to read more from Cari
