A life touched by cancer is not a life destroyed by cancer. When a self-described average guy is told that he has throat cancer, how does he handle it? For Drew Boswell, the news sets off a year's journey through one of the toughest physical and mental challenges he's ever faced. Told with wry humor and unflinching honesty, "Climbing the Cancer Mountain" tells the story of dark days and ultimate triumph as the author details what it's like to be diagnosed with cancer, suffer the torments of treatment and come out the other side. But more than just a litany of treatment and troubles, this very personal memoir explores the mindset necessary to endure life itself. If you or someone you know has been diagnosed with cancer, "Climbing the Cancer Mountain" offers hope and encouragement to navigate the bewildering array of tests and treatments cancer patients must face, and an optimistic, positive message for anyone facing cancer.
I think this was a great book. I believe it gave me a glimpse into what he went through from diagnosis to the completion of the treatment. I am glad that I read it.
No one wants to get cancer but how you deal with it is how Drew Boswell writes! He kept notes and facts how he barely fought this tough fight against cancer! Ppl This story will make you look at your life so be prepared to be left thinking about your own life.
Kindle will not let me exit this read without leaving a review. I don't know why. I did enjoy the book. I do not enjoy feeling forced to review the book
