Full disclosure: I laughed my way through Book 1 in this series. Book 2 left me nauseous and seriously PO'd. So I'm not exactly an objective critic at this point.

Oh holy crap, I was NOT expecting a paranormal. So far I’ve literally had to put this down and walk away three times.
My Kindle notes consist of numerous “WTF???”s and “Huh???”s, several “OMG”s and “GAH!!!”s, countless “asshole!”s and “dickhead!”s and two or three “dumbass!”s.
It’s great fun, if you have a high pain threshold.

Instead of a Magical Orgasm Cure, we get a . This occurred much earlier than expected, so I guess the last third of the book will be locating the Random Villain via psychic readings. The suspense is killing me.

I completely and unequivocally revoke my previous comment about this book being great fun. It wasn’t the suspense that was killing me.
Apparently there’s no end to the Epic Assholery – it’s RELENTLESS. I honestly have no clue how ANY woman could find this “hero” anything other than a complete and total DICKHEAD. I need a shortcut key on my Kindle for easier “ASSHOLE!” notations.
And the so-called “heroine” is just as bad. A Voodoo Priestess SHOULD NOT BE A DOORMAT. I mean, really – use your fucking MAGICK already and hit him with a stunning spell or something and put the rest of us out of our misery.
I don’t want either one of them to have an HEA. I want him to fall off one of the stupid cliffs he climbs and I want her to crawl back under her grandmother’s cauldron and I want them to NEVER EVER see each other or talk to anyone else EVER AGAIN.
The Random Villain has completely disappeared – but at least he POISONED THE WATERHOLE before he left, so maybe we’ll get lucky and Tebow Ranch will be like Chernobyl and the Homeland Fuckwadery Police will cordon it off for the next 500 years.

I have terribly mixed feelings about this book. It ended well enough and it was a relief something went right. However, through out this book Joseph acted like a complete jerk. I spent most of my time itching to reach through my kindle and bitch slap him into next week. 90% of Cady's interactions with him were just miserable. Joseph is basically a shallow, indecisive, conceited, moody, insensitive manwhore. Who starts making out with another Woman in front of their love interest because they are so used to making out with random hot women they forgot not to do it? After Cady, an empath took Joseph's pain so he could walk again I thought things would finally be on track. Then there was the whole "marriage proposal" fiasco. I love this family and I absolutly loved the first two books in the series. The story was well written but there was so much angst and I really disliked Joseph as a character. For those reasons I gave it two stars. Super Asshole Hero's just don't do it for me.

Even though the dialogue in this series gets my ALL TIME Fromage award... I can't stop reading it!
I freaken LOVE the characters!
I just want... The McCoy boys....like ALL of them!
... and I did something I haven't done in a long time. I got up in the middle of the night (2am) to finish this damn book, just so I could sleep and find out what happens...NUTS!
Now off to read the next book in the series that features.... wait for it:
Cowboy- turned badass biker dude - Dom .... I think I'm going to die!
It's like Christmas and my birthday all in one book! *grin*

"Her Magic Touch (Hell Yeah! #3)" by Sable Hunter

This story was a let-down after "Cowboy Heat" (Aron & Libby) & "Hot on her trail" (Jessie & Jacob) which I enjoyed very much. Each of the stories overlap so you know the direction the next story will be going when you get to the end of the previous book.
So far, the McCoy brothers have been dream heroes who fall hard and fast and are a bit caveman "mine!" about their females. What's not to love? Joseph, however, was a bonehead. Yeah, I said it!
Joseph (the dare-devil/romeo McCoy brother) was injured and paralyzed in a racing accident. Cady is an Cajun therapist who also happens to be an empath/healer with some divine intervention thrown in. She's also considered quite plain which suits Joseph because he's lost his "manhood" and can't bear the thought of being around an attractive woman.
Cady and Joseph are "soul-mates" but Josephn just has to stick his foot in his mouth constantly about how unattractive she is and if she'd only get a make-over she could catch a man. Okay, I could deal with that if only he improved as the story progressed but no, once Cady heals him and he regains his mojo and he's become attracted to her he's still sticking his foot in his mouth! They are having earth-shattering sex and he wants to keep her around because he's not ready to give her up but he won't make a committment to her. This goes on until nearly the end of the book!
And Cady, she's a doormat. She's sweet and literally a saint but I was truly rooting for her to tell Joseph to stick it where the sun don't shine and head off in the sunset with a man who truly could appreciate her. I was espcially annoyed when Joseph and some of the family accused her of doing something to hurt Joseph after everything she had done for him and the family. It was disappointing that they would just turn on her when she had proven herself to be so selfless.
I'm not writing off the series and I'm planning to read Isaac's story next (Badass) but Joseph really needed to grovel for an entire chapter in my opinion.

I don't know how these McCoy's continue to get hotter and hotter...via Sable's writing, but they do.
Joseph who winds up being paralyzed from his bike accident, only to be lectured for his own good by Libby about how precious his life is to all the family...as she explains her own circumstances with cancer, as he all but wants to give up living. He can't feel anything from the waist down, and that would include his manhood, and for a man in his late twenties who has lived the exciting lifestyle he has...who has bedded more woman than should be legally allowed, finds he is at a crossroad in his life.
He had starting thinking of being more involved with Tebow and his family and possibly even settling down more as he has witnessed his two older brothers, Aron and Jacob take on two fiance's who are also pregnant, and he starts to feel like maybe he is missing out on the love and stability that they both have. But now he is paralyzed and feels hopeless...hopeless to go back to his extreme sports, and hopeless to ever make love to a woman again let alone father a child. Upon the advice of his dear friend who is also one of the citys Cops he decides to give this woman Acadia a call.
Acadia is a faith healer, who also uses aspects of Christanity, Wicca and Hoodoo with herbs to work her magic. She has a solid reputation as a Physical Therapist, and is well know in many circles for her unusal style of healing. She has healed several before Joseph who can't walk or have life threatening diseases.
Joseph and Cady start out on rocky ground. He is looking for an ugly woman to obsolve him of his need to be whole, while not wanting to be around beautiful women that may scorn him for his inability to perform, or even walk. All along Cady knows she has been dreaming of Joseph and despite injury to her emotions and her own heart she is brave enough to risk everything for his love and acceptance. She is also and Empath and able to take other's aliments into her body, but more so than everything else she is his Guardian Angel, sent to earth to protect Joseph as Master Gabe has told her and in the process she falls deeply in love with Joseph and becomes pregnant by him...as a result of her healing him. For his part Joseph fights back his feelings for her. He is hurtful, then flirts with other woman, but still he wants to possess her totally, and he isn't quite sure why; until one evening they get caught with one of his brothers in a violent storm that knocks out a power line that almost hits Joseph, but Cady pushes Joseph out of the way to take the current of electricity into her own body and saving him in the process. It is at that time that Joseph goes to his hands and knees and prays to God that she be alright, and when he finally tells himself and others the truth that he is in love with Cady, and doesn't want to live without her...ever! She in turn tells him about being pregnant, but decides not to be tied or married to Joseph as he proposes to her in the hospital, but with much convincing, and a good word from his brother Noah who witnesses everything she gives in to marry him and they go on to have lots of daughters and a very happy life together.
Such a lovely ending for these two...especially after all the ups and downs they went through to get there.
Can't wait to read more on the McCoy brothers!

Books 1 and 2 of the Hell Yeah! series are in the cowboy romance and erotic romance genres. In Book 3, this series suddenly changes to paranormal romance and deviates sharply from the expected cowboy romance.
Explicit language and sex scenes are expected elements in erotic romance books. It is also common in this genre that characters in the throes of passion may use God's name as an expletive, which is reflective of our secular culture. Because I highly value tolerance and diversity, I tend to overlook this as a reader and know that it goes with the territory. In many cases this way of speaking seems merely a careless disregard (unintentional) of spiritual sensibilities.
Careless disregard is not the problem in this case. Hunter frequently quoted Scripture in the same paragraphs in which characters used God's name as an expletive. She also used Scripture in the context of spells and magic. This goes beyond "careless disregard" and seems more like "purposeful disrespect" aimed at those with a Judeo-Christian faith background, which IS offensive to me.
Because I had already purchased it, I read Book 4 (somewhat ashamed to say) and Hunter continues to use Scriptural sayings right alongside use of God's name as an expletive. I felt compelled to make note of this, so that those deciding whether to read this series can make an informed choice.
I fully expect some backlash from this review and would like to stress that respecting the diverse views and backgrounds of readers and authors is part of what makes Goodreads such an enlightened community. Although it is oh-so-politically-incorrect, I would like to see the same tolerance and respect shown to the Judeo-Christian faiths.

Her Magic Touch is the third book in the Hell Yeah series, and one of my absolute favorites. Joseph McCoy, one of the Tebow Ranch McCoy's considers himself to be a ladies man and a daredevil, he puts himself out there with all types of extreme sports, but when a horrible bike accident leaves him paralyzed from the waist down, Joseph finds out who his true friends are. Through one of those true friends, he learns of a lady from New Orleans, who along with being a trained physical therapist, seems to also possess magical powers. Joseph and his family are skeptical from the beginning, but they are willing to do whatever is needed to help Joseph get better. From the moment Acadia "Cady" Renaud arrives at Tebow, Joseph is a total jerk to her, saying mean hurtful things and basically treating her like crap, but Cady tries to take it all in stride because she feels like Joseph is her destiny.
This book captured me from the very first page, even though it was a re-read. I love this series and the characters, even though for a while in this one I kinda hated Joseph. But when I thought about it from his perspective, I realized that this had to have been an extremely hard blow for a man like him, and you usually strike out at the people that are around you the most. It doesn't excuse his behavior, but it did help me to understand him better. I give this one five Cady-did stars and this will probably not be my last re-read!!

Her Magic TouchHer Magic Touch in the third book in Sable Hunter's Hell Yeah! series.
This book was not as 'happy' as the first two books, Cowboy Heat and Hot on Her Trail. At times, I found Jospeh McCoy quite selfish and mean towards Cady. Because of Joseph's attitude towards her, Cady looks more like a victim than a love interest. Also, the 'magic' brought by Cady is too far fetched. I did not find the concept even remotely believable.
Sable Hunter has stated that her books can be stand alone. I really liked the characters of the Hell Yeah! series; but unfortnately, Sable Hunter didn't put enough care, respect into her characters in the this book. Therefore, I would skip this book in the series. The reason why I gave the book 2 stars and not 1 is because there is happy ending and moments - albeit few - where the story is enjoyable, but not enough to merit a must read or should read or even maybe read recommendation.

I liked the story once it finally got started. For the first 20% of this story most of it was word for word scenes from the other 2 books. There was just enough new stuff that I didn't want to skip it all, for fear that I would miss some new and important piece of the story. If I hadn't just read the first two stories it probably wouldn't have bothered me to see the exact same scenes,but I had, so it was annoying. The whole angel thing wasn't what I was expecting and it didn't add much to the story for me. I liked how Joseph was basically a jerk for most of the story. He was a conflicted jerk but still a jerk. So often in fiction (and even real life) the person who is injured is portrayed as so sickingly sweet, nice, and understanding that I want to scream. I mean really, any person that experiences a life altering injury or illness is likely to be angry and/or sad or feel guilt and is likely to lash out. Joseph's misbehavior and selfishness was more real and since he is, at the core, a good man; it is forgiveable. If we readers didn't have Cady's thoughts, I would say she was a doormat of a woman, but we do (read her thoughts) and she's not a doormat. Cady is generous beyond the usual human and that makes her an angel.

Loved, loved, loved this book. I'm a big fan of Sable Hunters books. I'm not going to lie, I read them for the cowboys in her stories and their love and devotion to the ladies in their lives. Moving on the women, I don't care for. They are dependant, weak and have no backbone but it makes the cowboys all the better so I'm not complaining. But in Her Magic Touch, Cady is different. She's strong and indepenant. She can be slapped in the fast and walk away with her head up, back straight and a polite goodbye. Something else that made this story different and better was the fact that Joseph wasn't in love with Cady the first time he saw/met her, his love for her grew with time he spent with her and got to know her. There was also some shocking happenings at the end that tied up the story very well. I'm looking forward to reading about the rest of the McCoy brothers.

I loved the first two of this series, but I hated this one. The 'hero' of the story (Joseph) was and insensitive, cruel and shallow bastard. He continually insults the heroine's (Cady) appearance and plays with her feelings, despite knowing full well that she is attracted to him. Yet, she blames his behaviour on herself, even getting a makeover to make herself more attractive! So much for the story's central message about 'inner beauty'! Cady makes incredible sacrifices to cure Joseph, but nothing she does is enough and Joseph shows so little appreciation for it. He only realises what he may have lost once her life hangs in the balance! Overall, I found this story to be deeply misogynistic and I was very disappointed. Don't waste your money on this one!

Really...it was a great story..but the Hero was just such a loser...he really didn't know how to treat her properly...I think a character like Jacob would have been more suitable for the heroine in this book;(

This book really didn't work for me. Cowboys and angels? That's just freakish, especially when it comes in the middle of the series. And I hate the doormat heroine and I hate first-class jerk Joseph McCoy; they are the worst couple ever.

Ok, I have to admit, I wasn't sure about the magic, voodoo, Creole thing, but I'm here to say... It effing worked!!! Not only in the story, but for me as the reader... very believable... This one is my favorite so far... I am in love with yet another McKoy AND I've planned my trip to New Orleans!!!! The basis for the story was heartbreaking, but hopeful... I found myself waking up in the middle of the night just because it was on my mind and I needed more to read more of this beautiful story!!
Joseph is your typical hottie... the dare devil, ladies man, all with a heart of gold... I found myself getting so pissed at him and his BS attitude... while he was hurting Cady, he was hurting me... I kept living the hurt right along with her... but he's also got McKoy blood in him and therefore, his heart of gold wins me over eventually... EVENTUALLY!!! Ms. Cady on the other hand... well, she was this little mouse with somewhat of a backbone... but mouse none-the-less!! She was in love from the get go... even before she even met him... but that low self-esteem and accepting it was getting under my skin... I was getting sooo mad at her for feeling like she needed to lay down and accept that she's plain or blah... I kept trying to rally for her... She definitely had a cheerleader in me!! Glad to see so much dialog dedicated to the rest of the family... The dick talk between Joseph and Noah... I was totally laughing out loud..."My dick is so big, it looks blurry unless you stand WAAYY back!" I had to reread them out loud to the hubby who I'm sure is gonna use those one liners frequently!! Sheesh, dudes and their tools!!! Love those McKoy brothers... makes me miss my brothers!!! Even though I'm gonna tell you that this is my favorite book so far in this series... we learn something new about the bad boy Isaac in this book and squeeeeeee... I'm pretty sure when I get to his book, he'll be my favorite BY FAR!!! I think his may be next... so, I'm onto Badass next...
Totally breezed right through this in one day... well, maybe a day and a half only because my family demanded dinner and clean clothes and whatevah!!!! Every chapter had highs and lows.. kept my bug eyes glued to the kindle for 336 pages of pure, solid, wonderful bliss.... It's was a complete joy to read and I'm looking way forward to the next installment of the Hell Yeah series!!! Thank you Ms. Hunter for a beautiful story!!!

After Joseph's bike accident leaves him paralyzed, he can't help but feel sorry for himself. He feels like a burden to the family, he mourns the loss of his career, his so-called friends and countless female conquests have distanced themselves from him, but what hits him the hardest is that he doesn't feel like a whole man anymore. When a family friend tells him about Cady Renaud, a woman with special healing powers, he jumps at the chance even though he's skeptical. He agrees to let her help him, on one condition – she must be homely and unattractive. Cady is indeed special. She has always been Joseph's guardian angel. After his accident, she is sent to Earth, reborn as a human without any memories of her true origin, to help him heal and find his true destiny. But fulfilling her destiny will not come without considerable heartache and sacrifice.
So far, this story disappointed me the most. Not that I had a problem with the supernatural aspect of it, even if it was strange and completely different from the other books thus far. My problem was with Joseph's behavior towards Cady. Since the first book and the introduction of all the McCoy brothers, they were all raised to be gentlemen. Even Joseph mentions somewhere in here that his parents would have been appalled at his behavior. We get glimpses into his mind as to why he lashes out so often, and it all boils down to his embarrassment over not being able to function fully for a female. That's understandable to an extent, but it just seemed out of character.
Seeing his discomfort, she tried to make light of it at her expense, maybe that would put him at ease.
"Remember, that's why you wanted a homely therapist." She spread her hands in concession to make the point. "Well, here I am – coyote ugly -whatever that means. So, don't think of me as a female, think of me as asexual – just a person."
Cady has always loved him, so she can't help herself. As a former guardian, it's ingrained in her to be compassionate and to help. She's sweet and a little naive, and I was surprised that she let her dignity take so many hits. I teared up so many times, it was ridiculous. In my opinion, he didn't grovel near enough to make things right with Cady. Ms Hunter doesn't disappoint with her usual scorching hot sex. The ending was quite sweet, since we got a glimpse into the distant future to see destiny fulfilled.

To be honest, I didn't know what to expect from this book from Ms Hunter. Oftentimes, the word "magic" is a staple for romance novels. "A frisson of magic." "A feeling of magic." "Glorious magic." These are probably some of the phrases that someone might see in a romance novel. Another is "Heavenly Magic." And this, IS Heavenly Magic.
Literally and figuratively.
The third installment of the Hell Yeah! series of books about the McCoy brothers and Tebow Ranch, it's probably my favourite book of the lot. Cady and Joseph McCoy. Cady, a woman who'd always known that this McCoy belonged to her even before he was born. Joseph, the playboy and daredevil among the men, who had to learn to appreciate the simpler things in life again.
To see that the woman fated to be his was not an ugly duckling but a swan.
You need to read the book to know what I mean.
What I've come to love about Ms Hunter's books are the ways by which she weaves life's lessons into the story. Lessons that some people tend to forget as we all try to survive this ever madding world, forever inundated with pictures of the perfect man and woman, and holding on to the belief that we are invincible. Joseph had to learn this the hard way, by depending on someone to help him become whole again. He just didn't include himself falling in love with a woman who he physically thought was ugly, into the equation.
No person is an island. No woman is ugly.
We all need someone. A friend, a lover, a shoulder to lean on or to cry on.
And we all fall in love. When we least expect it.
Perhaps the next time we feel invincible and think we don't need anybody's help, we could get down our high horse and realize that no person is an island. And the next time we look at a woman and snicker because she doesn't fit the picture we've been brainwashed with, think again. Because that person may just be helluva more beautiful - inside and out - than any amount of cosmetic surgery or personality coach can fix.

Book 3 in The Hell Yeah series. This is Joseph and Acadia's "Cady" story. Joseph has become paralyzed from the waist down after an accident. Cady is a physical therapist and also Joseph's Guardian Angel.
I agree with some of the other reviews that were written about Joseph's character and wanting to bitch slap him. There were times he was downright cruel. But I can't help but think after reading the whole story that there was more to his actions. I wonder if he was A) scared and b) in severe pain and that would explain part of it. It was very painful to read some of the things said by him to Cady in the beginning but then that shows me good writing skills if I am feeling that kind of emotion.
Cady is a Licensed Physical Therapist from New Orleans. She comes from a long line of healers that practice different forms of hoodoo, magick, etc. She first sees Joseph when she is in Heaven as his guardian Angel and was hurt. She is then sent to Earth to help. Of course she has been in love with Joseph from the beginning. But he sees her is "Coyote Ugly".
I was worried out this story was going to work itself out but it did in the end. There was actually some humor to be found in the story also, between the brothers.
You need to pay close attention to the story line as to not get lost. But a really good story to be read. Looking forward to Badass the 4th book in the series.

I was so looking forward to finally getting to Joseph's story. I didn't expect there to be catchup, recapping from the previous books. Found this a little annoying, but i can see that it was neccessary to get us to where we needed to be. That said Joseph's story wasn't short, the recap was extra.
Joseph the handsome dare devil in the family, always having to prove to the world he was the very best, thought himself invincable. Until that fatefull day, when he has an accident that leaves him paralyzed from the waist down. With not much hope of recovery from the Dr's, and realising other than his family and one close friend he is falling into dispair.
Cady comes as a highly recommended Physio therapyst with a little extra magic. I so wanted to give Cady a boost of confidence, she had such a low self esteem, she was such a selfless person always giving never taking anything for herself.. I could of slapped Joseph more time than i could count, he was thoughtless when it came to Cady, I thought he was never getting with this programme and it took a near death for him to see the light.

I'm going to be a hard on this book because while some sadistic part of me enjoyed the pain it was only because I was expecting redemption. It didn't really come.
The hero was just so mean to the heroine. Constantly!!! She didn't come across as a doormat but I really needed a little more reaction. Could she really be that good natured as to accept the insults from him?? Then the betrayal and doubts at the end was confusing. I'm not even sure why they questioned her in the first place.
Very HPesque book which I knew going in but a little more in the way of genuine apologies and recognition he'd been an ass would have been appreciated.

As much as I want to love this book I can't.
Mostly because, again, there are too many point of views that the author put in it. Sure at some point it's quite helpful but somehow it's confusing as hell. I was trying so hard to keep up.
I don't get Joseph. He's such a hot and cold guy. He's paralyze yet acting like he's not. He's a bit annoying. And the idea of they're 'meant to be each other' thingy is a bit ridiculous, personally.
But overall I enjoyed it though it's not my favorite. Looking forward to read the next one. :)

Not as good as the previous two. The hero was too self-centered for too long. And while I didn't mind the magic healing, the angel thing was just way over the top. The plot in this one was much weaker than in the previous two as well. That being said, when the hero wasn't being a jerk, he was super hot, and the heroine was sweet when she wasn't being a doormat. I liked the steamy parts and the overall message of love making you beautiful.

The only reason this isn't a 2 star rating for me is because of Cady & her family. Loved them. Hated Joseph. Never a good thing when you hate the hero. He stepped right past Alpha to A-hole. For about 80% of the book the only time he was nice to Cady was when he was inside her....outside of bed was all insults & selfishness.

What a wonderful mix of paranormal and erotic romance. I love both and found them in this one book. Sable kept me enthralled from the beginning of the book. I couldn't wait to read the next book. I read for 13 hours in one day and finished both.

Hot story... I kind of hated Joseph for how he treated Cady. And kind of hated Cady for letting him do that to her, even though I understood her. Great story overall though. And it's always nice to read about characters from previous stories.

I'm not sure I've ever read a book where the hero was such a relentless jackass - the entire book. And wow, the heroine was a total doormat, and took his insults and asshole behavior and just asked for more. Not for me. At all.

I an re-reading this series this book is the best of the series so far I didn't like Joseph at first but he totally redeemed himself. Fantastic series Sable

I love this series. So far this is my least favorite. I don't think I have the imagination for it. I'm not at all disappointed that I read it. I loved the characters & the epilogue was amazing.
