Once upon a time, a little girl was born on a cold winter morning in the heart of Seoul, Korea. She was brought to America by her parents and raised in the Deep South where the words ma'am and y'all became an integrated part of her lexicon. She wrote her first novel at the age of eight and continued writing on and off during her teenage years. In college she studied biology and chemistry and finally combined the two by earning a master's degree in biochemistry. After that she moved to Yankee land where she lived for four years working in a laboratory at Cornell University. Homesickness and snow aversion forced her back South where she lives in the land which spawned Elvis Presley, Oprah Winfrey, John Grisham and B.B. King. After finding her Prince Charming, she gave birth to a wondrous gift named Caylin and they all lived happily ever after.

The second book to the Harvester of Light trilogy will be available for purchase no later than December 2012.

A fantastic end to a series.
This is the closure of the Cin D’Rella series and my-oh-my, what a read. The end of the series was bitter-sweet as I would have preferred it continue on in another book, it was just THAT GOOD!
The manner in which S.J. West weaves three different fairy tales together is astounding. In this last book, Cin D’Rella has to fight for her world with everything she has left in her. But not only for herself but also her friends, family and the love of her life. What follows is a battle that had MY heart racing as I just was not sure what the outcome thereof would be. Fantastic Read!

Reading this book was bitter-sweet.

I loved every second of reading the series. They had all of one's favourite fairytales & princesses wrapped up in one with a huge bow.

Cin's final attempt at saving her beloved city and all the people she loves & cares for turned a success after everything they've all been through.

Now I'm wondering, would there be a spin-off for Rumplestiltskin. I loved him - the cockiness, confidence and child-like purity and naivete got to me.

This was a wonderful end to an amazing series. S.J. West never ever disappoints. She creates alternate worlds where readers can escape from the boring mundane life and enjoy a modern fairytale with a twist.

Thank you, S.J. West.

**********Contains Spoilers**********

I enjoyed this book, and thought that it was a good end to the series. Even though I enjoyed this series I didn’t find it as gripping as SJ West’s Watchers Universe books. Man, this book was an emotional rollercoaster throughout especially the last few chapters of the book. I enjoyed this love story between Cin & Coltan. Cin, had to make some hard decisions during this book, she’s grown into a mature but extremely kicka*se women well beyond her years. I really enjoyed getting to know Rum, and seeing him slowly gain the trust of Cin, and the others. I think they helped him realise what he wants out of life, and he totally deserves to find his forever love just like Cin and Coltan. Will Cin, Coltan and their loved ones be able to stop Suri before she completely wipes out humanity as she believes that they’re an abomination? I’m really looking forward to reading more books from SJ West in the future. I’d recommend this book, series and author to everyone.

Perfect ending.

When people try and take on fairy tales, it’s either a hit or miss. S.J. has an absolute hit with this series!

Cin as we know her, isn’t the Cin that’s portrayed in these books - well, she is, but she isn’t. She’s a Thorn, and the very best of them. She takes her responsibilities as seriously as she takes her friends - with total loyalty and respect.

She’s been put on a journey by people that believe in her and, so far, she’s done it brilliantly. But can she defeat Suri and spend her life with Coltan Prince, the man who holds her heart...?

S.J. takes us on yet another rollercoaster journey of heartache, joy and so many more emotions that I wasn’t sure I could take! I’ve enjoyed this series greatly, even though this last book made me blue like a baby towards the end. But I can’t fault it, just praise it.

Thank you, Sandy.

Perfect ending for a great series

Cin d'Rella and the Messengers of Death is the fourth and final book in Circle of the Rose Chronicles.

This series is a definite must read for lovers of all things fantasy and fairy tales.

In this epic conclusion, it’s a race against time as Cin and her friends continue to gather what is needed to defeat the evil that is threatening Briardale. Unfortunately, in order to save Briardale sacrifices must be made.

The book was fast pace with unexpected twist. It had the right amount of drama with humor and a sweet romance added in the mix.

The series is amazing and this book wraps up everything nicely.

If you’re looking for something fun to read I highly recommend giving this a try. It’s perfect for all ages

Such a wonderful conclusion to the series. It is not a safe ending tho. There is a lot of unexpected sadness. I cried the last few chapters a lot. Some were tears of joy so dont worry lol. I'm sad to see this series end. I think it would make a epic TV series. It is bitter sweet watching/reading Cin grow into the most amazing woman. Like I'm proud of her. And this has got to be hands down one of my top three couples ever! Cin and Coltens love is one to rival that of Romeo and Juliet. I know it seems like im talking about real people but the author has a gift for making these characters so realistic. Hoping for more from the series. Maybe even some shorts or a spin off...or two. So many good characters with great possibilities.

The last book in this series is edge of your seat exciting! The story never stops moving and my heart pounded. There were times I wanted to put down the book because I didn’t like where it was going – but of course that is not possible! There are some events that saddened me greatly – but in true form, our author wrote an exquisite retelling of my childhood fairy tales. The stories behind Ms. West’s fairy princesses is very moving. She definitely thought outside the box.

I’m very sad to see this series end. It was the best retelling of a fairy tale I’ve read. Beyond all doubt, this book kept my attention.

S.J's twist to our classic fairy tale definitely didn't disappoint! And what an amazing ending it was!

The final journey of Cin in order to save Briardale is full of danger, adventure, twists and turns, there's plenty of humor and romance. The characters... so well written, the chemistry and interaction between them all seems so real. S.J's has a fantastic way to draw you into this world where it seems like you are there watching it from the sidelines and not out of a book! This unique telling of one of our favorite fairy tale is definitely a must read! I'm sorry to see it end, but the ride was fabulous! A job well done and I can't wait to see what else S.J. West brings!

Why does this have to be the end of this story? I have seriously enjoyed the journey with Cin and her gang. This final book in the series answers so many questions that I had. I love how everything came full circle in the end. Of course I laughed, cried and smiled all the way through this book. I knew there were bound to be some big things to happen seeing as this was the end of the series and I was not disappointed. I am happy with the way things ended. I feel like we got the full story West wanted to tell. This has been by far my favorite retelling of fairy tales.

The fourth and final book in the Cin d'rella series is an intense one. The battle for saving her home from her mother's evil plans mirrored the twisted plan that the Sea witch laid out for Cin. The themes of sacrifice and bravery were evident throughout the story. I love that the character of Rum was developed and I enjoyed the twist he brought to the series. This book brought me tears of joy and sadness. I hope SJ West continues to develop this world she created, as I really enjoyed learning about Cin and friends.

Such a wonderful spin on this fairytale S.J. West has done such a wonderful job with this series. Cin has grown so much she has two men trying to compete for her heart so Rum thanks but honestly Coltan already has it ❤️. Cin and Coltan have the best chemistry is that is so magical it will make any girl fantasize LOL. On Cin Journey to defeat her mom there ends up being the best twists I ❤️ it I won't give it away for anyone it was so sad to see the Series end but thank you for an amazing adventure!

I absolutely loved this series! She took all the beloved princess stories from our childhood and made them so much better! She turned them into honest, brave young women who have to make some very tough choices to save their world and somehow, still had a very romantic 1st love going between Cin and Colton. There’s adventure and laughs and tears in the pages of this last book that will keep you turning the page.

What an amazing conclusion to another fantastic series! Cin is facing her final missions to free Briardale, and has to make some hard choices.

This was such a great take on twisted fairy tales! I love the “girl power” aspect of the thorns protecting Briar Rose, vs. the typical prince saving the day.

I’ve tried to write fifteen different things without including a spoiler...I keep having to delete and start over! I’ll just leave it here...DO. NOT. MISS. THIS. SERIES!!

This is the final book in the Cin D’Rella series and the ending was perfect. The story continues where book three left off Cin still needs one final piece of the weapon to stop Suri from destroying Briardale. With Suri closing in and regaining her power they are running out of time. This series is full of adventure, twists and turns, is fast paced and action packed. I cannot say enough about this writer and I highly recommend her books.

Oh my goodness, I don’t even know where to begin. I laughed, I cried, and I truly felt connected to these characters. The only complaint I have is that this is the final book in the series. I would love a book set like 10 years from the end of this book to tell us how the characters are getting on with their new lives. This series was so much more than I ever thought it would be and I truly hope S.J. West will give us more books from this series.

This is the 4th and last book in this series.....

What a great ending to a different take on our classic fairy tale characters....

I love how Cin grew into the person she was always meant to be.

The ending is bittersweet, because I'd LOVE it to continue....

However, SJ West does tend to write spin-off's.... PLEASE?????

I love the unique twist of the well known fairy tail characters. The plot was well thought out. Wish the ending had more to foretell but can definitely be written. Great series

While I’m so sad this story has come to an end, I have to say it ended beautifully. I loved following her story from beginning to end and all the friendships and love in between.
