After millennia of suppression, the Fierce Feminine, or Dark Mother, is making a dramatic resurgence to express our universal outrage. She is rising collectively now, and many women--and men--are feeling a welling up of sacred rage inside, a calling to set things right in our own lives and seek justice for those who can’t defend themselves.
Offering much-needed perspective, advice, and tools for channeling the righteous energy and sacred rage of the Divine Feminine, Anaiya Sophia explains how to distinguish the Fierce Feminine from personal anger and reveals how it is not a feminist movement set to publicly condemn all that is masculine but a collective spiritual uprising for the greater good of humanity. She shares constructive practices drawn from Eastern tradition to help you embody the courage of the Fierce Feminine to heal from predatory relationships and traumatic experiences, recenter your personal power, and gain control of your sacred rage rather than allowing it to control you. She details sacred sexuality exercises, including those with a yoni egg to clear the womb after lovemaking and dispel any energetic imprint left by an ex-partner. She provides instructions to gain access to the primordial wisdom within the untapped portion of the female brain, embrace your inner Kali, and personally deal with sorrow and anger.
Through this passionate step-by-step guide to comfort your spiritual anguish and dispel the helplessness of not knowing what to do, Anaiya Sophia encourages those who feel the call of the Fierce Feminine to embrace their sacred mission and allow it to rebalance the powers that govern the planet as well as harmonize our minds. When we allow the justice of the Fierce Feminine to flow within us, we each become an active participant in the embodiment of change.
Anaiya (Aletheia) Sophia is a Writer, Minister, Somatic Practitioner, Whisperer of Sacred Wisdom and Shepherdess. Her highly acclaimed books, courses, transmissions, retreats, and workshops focus on the unearthing of the sacred body, from within the light of the soul, and thereby embodying its somatic wisdom. These days, she ministers through the body, bringing people the experience of Wisdom rather than the understanding of it. That way, they know it for themselves and do not require or need recognition from any other source.
She has an intimate relationship with the land, especially the French Pyrenees, Egypt, and Ireland. All her work – writing, transmitting, somatic movement, storytelling, and teaching – springs from an irresistible communion with the land, and especially her goats. Every day without fail, she shepherds her goats into the mountains and valleys, which is rooted in as much as the myths and stories of the place as it is in a detailed knowledge of the physical and historical environment.
She has just completed working on Mary Magdalene's Audio Guide to the South of France, an evocative and expressive partnering with the mythic imagination and the land itself, and has currently published her latest book, The Grail King.
Anaiya leads workshops and trainings in Sacred Body Awakening and Sacred Body Deepening throughout Europe and North America. Throughout the summer she is mostly at home with her husband and mother in the mountains where they have taken on an almighty project – the restoration of an old Catholic summer house for children into the White Rose Mystery School, complete with chapel, Bed and Breakfast, Vegan café, Apothecary of Body Rituals and Animal Sanctuary.
They produce a large proportion of their food, keeping goats, sheep, pigs, and an assortment of poultry; in a large thriving permaculture garden/food forest. That long, hard work, which requires her to be outside in all weathers tending to other living things, as well as a continuing daily need for long walks to explore old, forgotten Cathar paths, caves, and mountains, has blessed her with a deep and nourishing sense of connectedness to the spirit of the place that she feels drawn to share with others. Over time she has developed an oral message that stirs the remembrance of a continuous lineage with the Feminine Principle that, throughout the centuries, has preserved its spiritual dignity. She is here to deepen your spiritual journey and to offer you a safe space whilst doing so. Suppose you feel a calling toward a tradition strongly rooted in the presence of Mary Magdalene, the Gnostic Sophia, and Christ's early teachings. In that case, you will find a palpable vein of Truth surrounding her.

Anaiya lives in the Cathar region of Southern France with her husband and mother. Together they run Les Contes, a B & B at the base of Montsegur where individuals, families and large groups can come and stay. Les Contes is a truly extraordinary place with an astonishing healing presence and is often said to be a catalyst for making important decisions.
Here you will find the Notre Dame de Sophia, a chapel consecrated to the Holy Spirit and the good works of Mary Magdalene, La Source de Belisama (enormous underground spring that fills a limestone basin), Le Jardin d'Eden (Johan’s Permaculture Project & Food Forest), The Mary Path (a mystical trail through the land), The Red Rose Cafe, the Apothecary of
Anaiya Sophia’s book is a passionate outpouring of feminine wisdom that gives you plenty to think about and work through. It’s especially timely for people caught in the ‘love and light’ version of spirituality that distracts us from the real issues we need to face. The book is packed with advice and guidance, and is confrontational the way only the dark goddess can be. Anaiya also makes an important distinction between what the Fierce Feminine is, and isn’t, and shows us how to reclaim our power in a way that doesn’t trample over others. **Disclosure: I received a complimentary copy of the book because it includes a small contribution from myself**
Reading Fierce Feminine Rising has been a life-changing experience for me. The quality of feeling expressed through the tone of Anaiya's words, coupled with the pure unrefined content of wild ferocity, has truly uplifted a part of me which wonders whether she has permission to be, to speak, to act. With such relevant and emotionally moving topics, real sorrows of the world, sprinkled throughout the book, I feel that each and every reader cannot help but be moved in some way, and reminded of their calling in particular. This is in a way a manual to self-expression, activism and actualised BEing. At a time when many are reawakening to their authentic voice, it can be confusing to understand how to wield this. The chapters on our 7 chakra essences help to coordinate this fiery passion from within, so that one can more deeply connect with each layer of themselves. In turn, we are increasingly empowered up until the very end, where we are invited to step into our own mystery of what this looks like. I felt taken for an adventure and returned to myself anew. I feel this is an essential book for sovereign awakening and taking the sceptre of responsibility for our selves, and for our role on the Earth at this time.
There are some great pieces of wisdom in this book, but ultimately the author holds a lot of spiritual beliefs I just don’t believe in or align myself with, so this book just wasn’t for me, over all.
