If pretending to be engaged helps them both, then why not? For so many reasons…
As a hotshot developer, Tate Duncan is used to, well, developments. But finding out he has a long-lost twin brother and a family he never knew throws him for a loop. Now his newfound family has invited him to celebrate Christmas with them in London, and he doesn’t know where else to turn for advice other than to sympathetic, sexy, down-to-earth Hayden Green. Will she come with him and pose as his fiancée? Just to be his anchor in the storm…
Hayden has always known that she and Tate are from opposites sides of the track. Being Tate’s friend, even posing as his fiancée for the trip, is all fine. But when their holiday getaway gives rise to real romance, how can she tell Tate that she isn’t the woman he thinks she is? That she isn’t worthy? He’s already dealing with shocking family secrets of his own. Will hers bounce her right out of his bed—and his heart?
Jessica Lemmon is a former job-hopper who resides in Ohio with her husband and rescue dogs. She holds a degree in graphic design currently gathering dust in an impressive frame. When she’s not writing emotionally-charged stories, she spends her time drawing, drinking coffee, and laughing with friends. Her motto is Read for fun, and she believes we should all do more of what makes us happy.
Christmas Seduction by Jessica Lemmon is a sexy holiday themed romance and the latest in her Bachelor Pact series. In One Night, White Lies, Reid Singleton discovered that his twin brother, long though dead is actually alive. This is his story.
Tate Duncan is still reeling from the news that his whole life has been a lie. It turns out that he was kidnapped from his home in England as a toddler and sold through an unscrupulous adoption agency to a couple desperate for a child who didn’t look too deeply into his history. Now that Reid has recognized him and told him the truth, he has two families to contend with and a lot of complicated feelings. The one thing that grounds him is the wellness community he’s developed on Spright Island and the people who live there. One woman in particular has caught his eye – yoga instructor Hayden Green.
Hayden left her own family drama behind to settle on Spright Island and open a yoga studio. When Tate shows up at her studio on a rainy night, clearly needing a friend, she’s quick to offer him tea and a listening ear – and a kiss to help take away the pain. It’s the start of a friendship and a dating relationship, no strings attached. Tate is recently single, his fiancee having left him with the news of his family complications and he’s probably on the rebound so Hayden is wary of getting in too deep. But when Tate asks her to pretend to be his fiancee and travel to London to meet his birth parents, will it lead to something more?
I love that the author was able to give us Tate’s story! I was curious about him since he appeared in Reid’s romance with Drew (which I also greatly enjoyed). It’s definitely a soap opera worthy plot, having someone recognize you in a coffee shop as their presumed dead twin brother. For Tate, it’s been understandably hard to adjust. He has kept his distance from his adopted parents who took his adoption information as given (that he was an orphan) and didn’t question it. Now he has the opportunity to meet his birth parents by traveling there for Christmas with Reid and Drew, but he needs someone to be his buffer, and that someone is Hayden.
The setting in this story is unique, with the wellness community sounding like a really lovely, natural place to live with people who care about the environment and living a healthy lifestyle. It’s the perfect place for Hayden who comes from a busy, dysfunctional household in Seattle, with a grandmother who is an alcoholic and a mother who enables her. I loved the scenes set in London with Tate’s family as he reconnects with his parents, and the lovely English Christmas traditions like pulling crackers to discover the toys inside.
Hayden and Tate share a mutual attraction that results in some sexy love scenes. When things between them start to get more serious, there is a bit of drama with Tate’s ex that pushes them apart before they fix things and get their happy ending. It’s an interesting and entertaining story and even though Tate wasn’t a part of the original Bachelor Pact, I’m glad his story has been added to the series!
Christmas Seduction was a fun read featuring a steamy fake dating romance.
Finding out he has a long-lost family including a twin brother has thrown Tate Duncan for a loop. When his family invites him to join them in London for Christmas, Tate needs someone to help him navigate this new dynamic and he can think of no one better than Hayden Green. When Tate asks Hayden to pose as his fiancée on the trip, Hayden finds herself falling for the man for real. But when the pair grow closer, Hayden struggles to find a way to tell Tate about her past as she believes it will doom their relationship before it can even begin.
Tate and Hayden knew of each other based on their proximity to each other but they didn't actually meet until after Tate's life imploded. The circumstances surrounding Tate's long-lost family was actually quite interesting and I was surprised by how he came to be separated from them. Tate came to Hayden for advice on how to deal with the situation and the pair grew closer as a result which led to their relationship developing. The romance does start before the trip to London with their physical relationship starting soon after they meet. The steamy scenes are wonderfully done and I enjoyed that aspect of their relationship. The one aspect of the story I didn't enjoy was Hayden's family drama as I felt it didn't add anything to her character or the story.
Overall Christmas Seduction was a fun, quick read that's great if you're in the mood for a holiday themed romance.
I admit I am not always the biggest fan of holiday themed books...but, this was Jessica Lemmon, so I knew it was one I was going to enjoy, holiday theme or not.
Tate and Hayden were fun. Their chemistry, their connection, the way they interacted and who they were as people was enjoyable. I loved how supportive she was of him and his rather sticky family situation and I absolutely enjoyed reading about them working it out.
I enjoyed this title (just like I suspected I would) and I recommend it.
Christmas Seduction is the fourth book in Jessica Lemmon’s The Bachelor Pact series. In order to enjoy this book, you don’t have to read the previous three books. You do, however, have to read the third book, One Night, White Lies.
Weeks ago, Tate Duncan’s world was turned upside-down with the discovery that he was adopted. His fiancee has left him and he’s in the middle of an identity crisis. The bright light in his upside-down life is yoga instructor Hayden Green. When his newly discovered brother invites him to London to meet their parents for Christmas, Tate convinces Hayden to join him and pretend to be his fiancee.
Christmas Seduction was a good story. The characters were all likable and great. Tate has had to take on a lot. Throughout the book, I felt sorry for him for that. But at the same time, it seems like he handled things well until he didn’t. The woe is me act he tried to pull really wasn’t him. As far as endings go, I really LOVED the ending of this story. It had me smiling long after I was done reading the book. I highly recommend Christmas Seduction.
**Received a copy of the book from the publisher and voluntarily reviewed.**
Tate Duncan was delivered a blow a few weeks ago after he learned that his childhood held some secrets even his adopted parents weren't aware of. His personal life takes another hit when his fiancee breaks off their engagement, too.
One thing Tate does have is his work. Specifically the wellness community he put all his hopes, dreams, and effort into making a reality is thriving. One resident, Hayden Green, needed the change to her personal life and decided that moving and opening her own yoga studio is just what she needed to get away from her toxic family situation.
Tate and Hayden have crossed paths before, but now Tate is taking another look, and once together they click, but with everything Tate has recently gone through is adding a new relationship to the mix what he needs?
I was a little on the fence about starting this one. I've just gotten into the fall groove with my reading, I wasn't necessarily ready to head into Christmas yet. But I'd say the holiday themes are pretty light. In fact, I felt like the fake fiancee trope which is touted in the book blurb wasn't as big a proponent of the story as I imagined it would be.
Instead, I really liked digging into Tate's life more. After the surprising turn of events the previous book (One Night, White Lies) took I'm happy that Tate got his story. Really, I loved the way Jessica Lemmon handled the whole situation. In the way that, yes, it Tate's path in life was hugely derailed - not to mention his sense of identity - but he begins to question everything about himself and his (adoptive) parents. You completely feel that sense of adriftness in Tate's life, but you also feel how he wants to get back on a path. I loved that it wasn't really a big momentous occasion that brings Tate back, but instead it's the little things, the day to day. Familiarizing himself with the new normal.
I really loved Hayden as Tate's match. She's a veritable well of strength and she's built everything on her own time, her own terms. Having come from a toxic family, I appreciated that she understood the idea of only being able to control so much of a situation. One this she could certainly control were her own actions and decisions. She didn't have to answer to any one else. I think she was just perfect for Tate.
Overall, you can't really go wrong with Jessica Lemmon. She delivers time and time again, and while it seems that the bachelor pact series is closed, I'm excited to see what she has in store for us next.
CHRISTMAS SEDUCTION is book four in Jessica Lemmon's The Bachelor Pact series and brings us the story of a real estate developer and a yoga instructor in what just might be my favorite of the series! Emotions are high, tension is pounding and a happily-ever-after occurs just when they least expect it.
Tate obviously caught our attention in the previous book when we learned of his existence and were thrown for a loop with his back story. This book really gets to the heart and soul of how he's feeling now that his world has been turned upside down. He's a really great character and I enjoyed him very much.
Hayden is a bit complex. She's very zen and seems in control of her universe in so many ways, but the backlash of family expectations and drama are a drain to her emotions. Meeting Tate and starting a bit of a fling just when they are both feeling a bit raw seems innocent enough ... until emotions start to connect and they're in for more than they ever bargained for.
I highly recommend this story, and to get a full connection to all of the players, I recommend you play catch up and read all of the series in order. They are all fast paced and delightful with a strong backdrop of friendship, family and sexy romance. It's been a great series!
Tate Duncan gets thrown for a big huge loop when he finds out he was kidnapped at a toddler and his parents aren't really his parents. This all goes down in book three in this series but is reintroduced in this book so readers aren't lost wondering what's up. His fiance leaves him high and dry saying she didn't sign up for the drama. In the midst of sorting out the mess his life had become he meets Hayden. To Tate Hayden in a beacon of light. Hayden has her own family problems and Tate is totally out of her wheelhouse. These two are very different but very good together. Tate was in serious need of a anchor and Hayden does that for him. Of course it almost all goes to crap until a certain someone finally sees the light. Wonderful book with great characters for a enjoyable night of reading.
Christmas Seduction (The Bachelor Pact Book 4) by Jessica Lemmon WOW ..I really loved this...thanks to the publisher and #NetGalley for letting me preview this book. Tate Duncan (developer..who is he really) Hayden Green (yoga instructor...finding herself) This book has all the feelings, laughter, tears, angst, family drama, love and steam leading to a wonderful HEA. I wanted to get to their HEA but I did not want this book to end....
Reasons I enjoyed this book: Wonderful characters Easy-to-read Funny Tear-jerker Happily Ever After Entertaining Steamy Romantic Page-turner Great world building
Tate and Hayden’s story was a one day at a time romance that turned into forever. They had a friendship and great chemistry going for them, even though Tate was going through turmoil. Both his families were wonderful and tears were shed while reading. A wonderful way to tie up the series.
Christmas Seduction by Jessica Lemmon... This book is an absolutely MUST read. I just loved everything about this book from beginning to end. Lots of excitement, romance, a bit of suspense and lots of LOVE. It was my pleasure to review this book!💖💖
I absolutely adored this story and I found the character interactions so realistic. They felt like real people reacting to the sitsuations around them. So good!! Now I have to go buy the other books in the series too!
Christmas Seduction by Jessica Lemmon. Hayden Green invites a man to come in out of the rain as she watched him stop in front of her yoga studio, to come in for tea… Little did she know that it was going to change their lives and instead of drinking his tea, Tate Duncan gets a kiss that rocks his world? I loved how the story evolved around holidays, which Jessica Lemmon does so well. Tate is going through a tough identity crises and Hayden is moving on from a life away from her family. When Tate asked Hayden to poise as his fiancé when he meets his birth parents on a trip to England, she agrees and what she didn’t see coming was that she would fall in love. But did Tate feel the same way… I give this story the whole 5 stars… I can see some other books coming from Spright Island….
Tate designs a wellness community that everyone wants to be a part of. He seems to have everything until one day he meets his twin brother that he didn't know he had. So his world is crumbling around him and he isn't sure what to do. Everything he believes in his fake.
He discovers he had been kidnapped from his real family when he was 3 and sold to another family, the one he thought was his real family. In the middle of all of this his fiance Claire decides to leave him. She doesn't want to be part of his drama.
It seems his life is in a downhill spiral until he wanders aimlessly through the rain to the doorstep of Hayden, the yoga instructor in town. Hayden comes from a dysfunctional family and her and Tate hit it off.
This is an incredibly good book that I just could not put down until I was finished.
I loved getting reading this Christmas story! Hayden has Tate come in out of the rain as she watched him in front of her yoga studio.Tate is going through a family situation and when Tate asked Hayden to pretend to be his fiancé when he goes on a trip to meet his birth parents in England, she agrees and what she didn’t plan on doing was falling in love with a man she just planned on inviting in for tea :)
Jessica Lemmon is a favorite author of mine and I have yet to read anything of hers that I did not really enjoy! This book is not exception and I fell in love with Hayden and Tate very quickly.
Hayden had given up everything she had worked so hard for to move to a small town and teach yoga. Hayden lives upstairs from where her studio is so she only has a small space for her own. Once night when it is pouring down rain, she sees the infamous Tate Duncan, standing outside of her studio. Hayden goes to let Tate in and she can tell that something is very wrong with Tate. Hayden knows that Tate is engaged so she can't imagine what is going on with him, and where is Claire?
Tate was an only child and everything had been going his way. He was engaged to Claire, had a nice place to live, everything was pretty much taken care of for him, until he found out about his real life. Tate was adopted, but he didn't know that there was so much more to the circumstances surrounding his adoption. Tate decides that he wants to go meet his birth parents and ends up asking Hayden to go with him to be his support for when he does meet his birth family. Hayden has always wanted to go to London so she doesn't balk at the chance to go with Tate.
This couple will leave you longing for more of their adventures and their steamy chemistry that sizzles off the pages. Tate and Hayden could melt the snow with their sexiness and chemistry. You will not want to put this one down until you have finished it. This was a quick read for me and I devoured it quickly. Thanks Jessica Lemmon for a great read!
All opinions are my own and voluntary. Thanks to Netgalley, the author and the publisher for an advanced copy of this book.
Tate has to ask very specific questions to make sure he understands his woman right, “you want to have *** with me?” he growled." Hayden is just quite honet, “I don’t wear anything under my yoga pants.” Great. He could never take a class from her again without embarrassing himself." I liked this book, I loved Tate.

'Christmas Seduction' by Jessica Lemmon is book four of The Bachelor Pact series. It is the first book for the series I've read. I really like seasonal romances because they tend to be sweet, fun, quick reads but Christmas Seduction packed more punch then I was expecting.
Tate has just found out that his parents are not his parents at all. Not only was Tate adopted but he was kidnapped and had another family, one who thought he was dead, on the other side of the world. Now he is heading to London to meet the family he never knew existed. His fiancé has left him not wanting to deal with the new found drama in his live so he asks his friend (with benefits) Hayden to go with him.
'Christmas Seduction' is fairly predictable when it comes to romance. It is the type of thing I, and all romance readers have seen a million times. Two people blatantly in love but emotionally shut down due to issues with family etc etc. It is nothing new in that department. Hayden and Tate have very good chemistry and Lemmon sure knows how to write some steamy scenes but it is all familiar territory.
What I really liked about this book was the secondary storyline about Tate's situation. His arrival in London and his interaction with his family was interesting and genuinely touching. I could of done with a hundred more pages about that and a hundred less of the romance, alas this is after all a Harlequin Desire novel and romance is the objective. Still this small twist on the usual Christmas snog fest fare made 'Christmas Seduction' stand out for the crowd and offered some real emotional depth. I recommend it to romance readers.
Christmas Seduction is published by Harlequin Desire and was released on October 1st 2019.
Ok so I'm like snorting because I typed the title "wrong" - I added a "the" so "The Christmas Seduction" and the first hit in the search engine was a link to p0rnhub so ... ahahahah just typing it now I'm snortlaughing again.
A N Y W A Y.
Ugh. Ok so ... I'm kinda waffling between 2 and 3 stars, but I'm more "it was ok" than "I liked it" - especially since I was kinda paging/skimming/there were parts that ANNOYED me so much. I will say/note that I have been in a foul ass mood ... so ... :X sorry, book.
But the whole... obvious relationship then "not relationship" - and I liked a lot of parts but ... :|
I think? it got better when she agreed to go to England with him ... the secondary characters/his brother and friends - they were great, and I read books 2&3 of this series.
And OF COURSE there was that dark moment. The hero was as usual an ASSHOLE. Like... he does a babymini grovel but ... 😒 I liked that the heroine went off on her trip.
Tate/(Wesley?) - it's probably bad I couldn't remember the character names and had to check... and Hayden really did have their sweet moments. And oof her family ... And HIS family and the double parents. I liked that they had lovely moments BUT that it also wasn't easy. That made it much more believable.
An enjoyable romance set around Christmas, in a lovely sounding wellness community.
Tate is the owner of the wellness community, and has built the community up from scratch, keeping to his ideals of everything blending in to nature, and Hayden has a yoga studio there.
Tate is currently struggling with the fact that he now has two sets of parents, his adoptive parents and his birth parents, especially since it turns out he was kidnapped when he was young (the adoptive parents didn't know), with one set of parents in the US and one in England, along with a twin brother.
Hayden invites him in for a drink while he's wandering around in the rain looking lost, and things progress from there, with Hayden helping Tate with his birth parents (pretending to be his fiancee) and generally helping him get his head around his new life as it is now.
I really liked both characters, Hayden also had a difficult family, but they both fit together really well. Tate was a bit of an idiot towards the end, but soon realised the error of his ways, and everything worked out for them.
A very easy-reading, enjoyable story, No.4 in the 'Bachelor Pact' series. I haven't read any of the others, but it didn't detract from anything for me, it just made me interested in reading the others in the series.
Tate's world seems to crashing down around him when it comes to his family life. Hayden manages to catch him on his weaker moments and lends him and ear. They never expected attraction. With the Holidays comes up he convinces her to be there for him and go with him to meet his birth parents as his fiance. Thing only get heated up between the two as they spend this holiday season around eachother.
I absolutely loved the fact that this book had so much going on for the holiday season. It wasn't something that was briefly mentioned as they went on about in their lives. There was plenty going on to keep the readers hooked. I loved getting to know both Tate and Hayden's characters, they were so different with family lives, up bringing and everything and liked getting to know them. Then there was the attraction, romance and steamy scene which was well written as well. Overall this is a pretty great book. I would recommend you lovely readers to put this on your holiday tbr.
This is the last book of the Bachelor Pact series. Tate Donovan is going through an existential crisis. Tate found out in the last book in the series that, not only was he adopted, but he was a twin and was kidnapped when he was three and adopted by the Donovan’s. Additionally, his fiancée dumped him, so to say that he was having a bad couple of months is an understatement. Even though he is a billionaire who has developed his own green community on an island off of Seattle, he finds himself wallowing in the rain in front of Hayden Green’s Yoga studio. Hayden invites him in out of the rain, and they start with flirtation that eventually leads to more. Hayden and Tate a very likable characters, and the story was enjoyable.
I was very appreciative that this was not a Hallmark cheese fest. Much more sexy and adult type of romances that I'm used to, just taking place around holiday time. Hayden and Tate were interesting characters and I liked that the setting divvy its time between Seattle area and London.
One of my favorite tropes is fake dating/marriage/engagement and I was expecting more antics in the regard of having to pretend to be engaged, but that time was very short.
Overall, a nice introduction to holiday romances but I'm not in a rush to get more themed romances anytime soon. Think I will give author another try since some of her other titles seem promising and there was subtle humor in this one, which I always appreciate.
3 out of 5 stars. The book was a bit slow and takes a little bit if time to get into. The characters were well developed and it was fun to go on their journey. Tate is trying to figure out which he is after finding out that he wasn't just adopted but kidnapped. We get to see him navigate all the changes in his life including meeting his brother and birth parents while dealing with a broken engagement. Luckily Hayden is there to help him through it all.
Pros: lovable characters, short story (only 216 pages), an interesting setting of a wellness community
Cons: slow pace doesn't hook you into the story, not my favorite Jessica Lemmon story but still solid

Tate's whole world has turned upside down since he found out that he was taken from his birth parents at age 3. Even though a very nice couple adopted him, it was a shock finding out what happened and that he's got a twin brother. It's Christmas time but with his identity crisis, Tate's not feeling the holiday spirit. He knows his parents love him but will his birth parents be proud of the man he's become? Tate told them he was engaged but now that he's visiting them in London, he needs to come up with a fake fiancé. Local business owner, Hayden, is sympathetic to his plight and pretty soon the fake romance isn't so fake after all. I really enjoyed this holiday romance!
