I love this series I really do. However, the reason I didn't give this five stars was due to a few issues that are becoming annoying in this series. The fade to black romance scenes are driving me crazy we are told of this utter love she has for tiernan but the fade to black makes me feel like I'm missing something..there was more steam between her and Raza just kissing then the man she's been partnered with for four books now. The whole fade to black of this series is strikingly odd too when you take into account that the God Hunter series does an amazing balnce between fade to black romance scenes and more intense scenes that show you the passion in vervains relationship with her men. The other issue, the tension between Raza and her...goodness gracious I'm going nuts with the back and forth. Yet I love Raza, he is by far the most endearing character in the series and he shines in this book!! All in all I love this series I just feel like as a reader I'm missing something...however, I'm highly and anxiously looking foward to the next book!!
Loving this series. I couldn't stop wondering what was going to happen next and couldn't stop picking the book up at random times throughout the day- which is what makes a book a 5 star story for me.
King Uisdean requires Seren, in her ambassador role, to accompany him to the ocean kingdom of the Court of the Nine Sons, which is run by dragons! As Seren suspects, her uncle Uisdean is up to something shifty with the dragons. Before she has a chance to investigate, there is an attempt on her life. Raza saves her and clues her in on some of Uisdean's crimes. Needless to say, it is just the tip of the iceberg. Uisdean's final actions in the book call into question his right to rule the Unseelie.
Gah! I'm shaking my fist at the sky! My RH still hasn't happened but the tension is building so sweetly!!! Damn, I knew Seren could be stubborn, but this girl is killin' me. As for the actual plot, it was pretty good. I liked the descriptions of the underwater court. They almost lulled me into a relaxed state, then wham! Assassination attempt. Then, Uisdean's manipulations kept me guessing what he was really up to. He almost distracted me from Raza, almost. I can't wait to dive into the next book. I can sense that some big things are gonna happen for Seren. Yay!
Still having so much fun with this world and its characters. Seren is still struggling with the whole Raza deal, plus Uisdean is up to something worse than expected.
And yes, I did have a chuckle over the Grammar Giggles 🤭
From the books cover picture and title you can clearly tell that this is the book that we finally get to meet the dragon kingdom!! or at the very least, one of the two kingdoms.
Not going to lie Seren should have known better than to trust Uisdean, that has been made blaringly obvious over the last 3 books, but i suppose Seren had to listen to the Goddess about forgiving him so its understandable why she agreed to go on his little political meeting to the Court of the Nine Sons.
After the way one of the Dragons Kings treated Seren i was genuinely surprised by their actions when they turned the tables! What is up with that! I'm so glad that Raza was able to save her though! It also gave Seren and Raza to bond a little more. I just wish she'd give in and date both Raza and Teirnan!
Raza is by far, my favourite character in the whole series i think. I loved the crowning scene, holy hell that was beautiful, when he makes a decision he really commits to it aha.
I did not expect Usidean's plan to be what it was, and my heart broke for Rue when she realised what was happening to her. Im not going to say i feel sorry for him, he knew what was really happening and he just didnt care.
Looking forward to how the series is going to develop now that there is a new political regime, the romance is developing with Raza and Seren, and theirs a crazy Unseelie Ex- Queen on the loose.
Liked the snarkiness found within the character index at the end , and the correct vs giggles blurb found at the end, especially the "there" vs "the" which I also had trouble recognizing.
Another good story, yet I find myself getting tired of the triangle. Thankfully there is lots of other stuff which intrigues me, i.e. The further incorporation of various mythologies into the fey, the recognition of "royal" privilege and all that can cause, the source slightly further advancement of the witches interaction, and of course, the further misadventures of King U and his now tainted wife, Queen Rue (as in the the day?)
Overall, I still want to read the next book, and I might want to return to the Godhunter series to progress further along that storyline.
Thanks for challenging my understanding of fairy, Amy.
War in Fairy and still not a Manly Menagerie Romance
I'm enjoying this series but I can't say I like it as much as Amy's Godhunter series. I'm trying not to compare the two but fairies, magic, and multiple loves kinda bring it up often. As for the multiple men situation Seren has one serious boyfriend and a very determined dragon trying to be her future husband even though they aren't together. I'm not sure if the menagerie aspect is just being warned about in these early books so people aren't shocked later when it happens (especially if its not their cup of tea) but it seems a bit dishonest given that she isn't with multiple guys currently. Also I see menagerie and picture three or more people. If Conri, maybe Chad, and an unknown male we haven't met yet become the other three then my guesses are correct.
This book was okay. There are characters I love, but most of them are side characters. Serena gets more annoying to me as the series progresses. She is so quick to make decisions, that she makes a lot of wrong ones. Then, she tries to justify them, annoying. Raza, is still pursuing, Tiernan, is still being jealous, Kier, is starting to get redundant. Usidean, is not my favorite, but at least he is true to who and what he is. I will probably read the next one to see what happens, but this series is definitely going downhill for me. There are also several parts that you can just skim through, because it is just reiteration of previous books.
These books keep getting better and better! While the author still tends to wax eloquent, the narrative now flows around the descriptions and suits the mood. As fir the story itself, the nine dragon kings are dangerously appealing even as the unseelie king binds himself in his own machinations. It is lively, devilish and perfectly original.
For romance - Raze all the way! I love that guy, and I hate T a little less this go round (his jealousy is easing) - but Seren is the issue now. Poor girl needs to follow her fay heart, yet finds it all too human in the matters of love.
First of all, anything to do with dragons, I'm down. Although there were some parts I was seriously disappointed in them, come on guys your dragons, you're better than this! :l Secondly, I was so caught up in reading this ending it almost gave me a heart attack, {girl get ahold of ya self}. It was quite a 'dramatic exit' ending and when I realized that was the end I could have died. Yes, I know this review probably doesn't make sense because I am half asleep while writing it. Am I about to start the next book anyway? Yes, yes I am.
Just to echo my previous reviews of this series, I still really enjoy the creativity and the creatures. In this book, I loved how the Grindylows were portrayed, as I tend to have more of a Harry Potter version of them in my head. I will be totally honest. While I understand the reasoning behind it, I really don't like the whole love triangle thing. I feel like T is getting the short end of the stick, and that R is pushing WAY too hard.
In this book Seren’s evil uncle is up to no good, we hear more from Danu and a new unseelie king is crowned. Seren has a hard time accepting her destiny and is caught in a love triangle. She also believes danu has abandoned her in her time of grief. All ends as it should, and as usual this book ends in a steamy closing scene.
Here there be Dragons, the fourth book of the Twilight Court series, is a book I picked up through Kindle Unlimited. I enjoyed many of the story ideas for this installment of the series, but for some reason, the book seemed drawn out or slower-paced. The book was important because of the story line progression, but I hope the next book picks up the pace again.

Seriously good. This book, the whole series. Just amazing. Love Seren. Love her hesitancy towards love, the realness to her character. Just incredibly well written. Raza is my favorite though. Hands down I love his character. Minor editing issues. Nothing major that would distract from the read. Definitely a must read.
Love this, full of twist and turns that keep you guessing and engrossed in the book. I could not put it down and love that she stays with our main characters while adding new ones in the mix. Flowing, good characters that have developed well, good action scenes, romance, magic and mystery. On to the next book!
Spoiler Alert. What a great series. The angst is killing me though. I hope her relationship progresses to something more substantial soon. As for the rest of the book, the plot was action filled and fun to read. I can't wait to read the next book.
This series just gets better and better! I love all the characters and the developments throughout the book are just so intoxicating you get addicted to the book and you just need to keep reading. Definitely a series I would recommend
I liked this story. I'm Glad Usidean has finally been driven off. Not to happy about the whole love triangle thing though. I really like these stories. I don't want them to become trashy. Still, just have to keep going and see what happens.
This series just keeps getting better. I love the action adventure, the history, love, defiance, crazy family members, drama, the humor (I love the snarky asides, and fun film quotes). And let's not forget the dragons.
And another bites the dust. Puff. Pronto. I finished another Seren Firethorn’ story and I keep coming for more. Reading one book per day without stopping for anything. This is how good this books are.
I love this series and I love the idea of putting “bloopers” in the back ❤️
One thing I don’t like is the huge “religious” thing being so big in this I just don’t know why it’s so prominent in a book like this. The only thing I can think is that she says hey you WILL do this eventually okay bye”.
This series is immersive. It has made me laugh, cry and kept me reading until the last page. I have enjoyed it so much that I start the next book without really surfacing.
It has been an excellent way to pass the time during the very rainy days.
Another awesome book well written with drama, mystery, romance, comedy and action. I’m so thrilled raza is now king but totally on edge over the old scary king.
I love The Twilight Court series. I loved how strong Seren was and especially Raza!!!! He's absolutely my favorite. These were well written and I looked forward to the next book each time.
