Tiernan and Seren have a huge fight in which she says 'Fuck Danu' and he slaps her. This act turns to be the beginning of the end for them as with a few more minor fights and 3 months later she goes to Raza and officially shows her love for him.
She meets another type of witches called the 'casters' and goes on a merry chase with one of them a man called Killian and together they chase her zombie turned human Dad and his jailors, who are her evil uncle and his diabolically insane wife. Lots of witches end up dead, Anu makes an appearance, Kilian says he is majorly attracted to Seren, follows her in Fairy and gets transformed. Evil wife gets killed, evil uncle gets killed. Justice is served. Tiernan says Danu is more important to him than Seren and can't forgive her for telling Raza and Kilian their intimate dealings - him striking her and him not feeling sorry about it. So she feels sad, wounded but at the same time released and goes to Raza light hearted.

AGH! The most stupid book of the series

This review will contain spoilers. Not enough to ruin the book, but will contain details only found while reading. If you do not want that, please stop reading. The author took Serena and turned her into a spoiled, selfish teenager. Everything was about her and how everything affects her. Most royalty, if they are good, take their people into consideration first opposed to their own wants and needs, Serena does not. She finds out that her fae father has been corresponding with her earth father and she freaks out because she feels betrayed, instead of happy that the two men, she calls father, are getting to know one another and are bonding over her. Tiearian and Serena can in a huge argument, over something stupid that once again Serena has taken out of proportion and she slaps Tiearian and in this book Tiearian's whole personality changes 180. He gets changed into a temperamental prideful man, totally out of character. Normally he is a man who pretty much worships Serena, but in this book he acts like he cannot stand her. In one argument, Serena more or less tells Danu to f off and Tiearian slaps her. First, he was never a person to raise his hand to a woman, especially not Serena. Secondly, it was not a hard slap more like a wake up slap. And of course Serena tells everyone how Tiearian beat her and then she states that she is thinking like an abused woman later on. Give me a break, she is not a victim. She wants Tiearian and/or Raza to choose her over Danu or any other God/Goddess. Yet, if someone is religious they will choose their God/Goddess first and personally I feel that Serena making someone choose her over their God/Goddess is truly narcissistic. I believe the author changed Tearian to bring Rasa onboard, which is totally ridiculous. Realistically, this should never been a reverse harem. If a character is strongly opposed to more than one partner and touts monogamy then forcing that character to have more than one partner does not fit. In addition, in reverse harem relationships, one does not love someone more than another. Usually the other(s) offer something different than the other, but the love for each is the same. In this book Serena chooses one because she loves that one more. If that is truly the case, then she should be in a monogamous relationship. Now a character named Killian has been introduced and it has been hinted that he may be a future love interest for Serena. Although he seems to be a likable character, he is very immature and not a match for Serena. Serena usually matches up with brooding alpha men who let her spread her wings, while being there to catch when needed. Killian is more like that friend that talks you into doing something stupid with them, but loving every moment of doing it. Great friends but not great lovers. Also, Serena starts to drop The f bomb and other swear words everyone is surprised but she tells them that is how she was before going to fairy. However, in book 1 she did not speak like that as an extinguisher. There were so many other examples and incidents that just ruined the book and characters. The plot was great, in regards to the evil uncle with his evil wife, but the whole story was destroyed by the author's decision to change two main characters personality. If the next book is like this one, then I will not finish this series after all. In all honesty, if this is how the author handles her reverse harem books, I will not read them, and that is a shame because they are usually my guilty pleasures.

Rue and Usidean are on the loose, Raza is King, Teirnan is being a dick and Seren is just trying to make it through the day.

Serens adoptive father is taken by Rue and Usidean, something that tips Seren over the edge. Her dad may not be speaking to her, but she loves him and will fight with everything in her to get him back.
Unfortunately shes being forced to do it without one of her knights/boyfriend Teirnan because hes been acting like an absolute dickhead. However Raza is there for her as well as a surprising new ally in Killian (i think he may be another one of the RH boyfriends). Killian is a witch, and his brand of human is almost the exact same as Serens, so they connect on a few levels, plus, hes hot.

Teirnan's actions in the beginning of the book are inexcusable, i cannot believe he put his hands on her like that, and then to go and get angry at her for telling people, or even that hes the one who cant forgive her! what the actual fuck. I was totally on board with Killian's and Raza's opinions on Teirnan's future health.

This book was equal parts heartbreaking and uplifting, i loved it! especially the end!!

So for this is my least favorite of the series. Seren gets downright irritating. She throws tantrums, acts childish, and somehow it all works out okay in the end. Every time something goes wrong she blames some god or goddess for not stepping in, but complains that she should be able to make all the choices in her own life without input from either the god or goddess. Tiernan is an idiot in this book, but so is Seren. Kier is annoying and childish. Raza acts the most mature, but he still tries to push when he should back off. Killian is my new favorite character. He acts true to himself no matter what. If it weren’t for him I would definitely stop the series here. I know this series has mentioned twilight many times, but this is the first time I have felt the connection. Seren is very Bella-like in her angst and whining. Unable to choose between her Edward and Jacob; Raza (fated, but second) and Tiernan (fated, but overshadowed).

Meh

So far, this has been my least favorite book in this series. I still enjoy the overall story, but I just felt that Seren didn't really do much in this book other than focus on the whole "who should I love" dilemma. I may be in the minority here, but I am not a fan of Raza. The only thing I do like about him is that he doesn't try to keep Seren from making her own decisions. I DO like Killian, however, and look forward to seeing where that goes.

I will say that I really hate the way that the Tiernan situation has panned out in this book. IMO, Seren deserved it considering Danu has saved her ass many times now. Not to mention, she acts like an indignant child more often than not.

Additionally, these books could all do with a bit more editing, and would benefit from some POV back and forth. I read a review a while back were someone said that this author tells us what is happening rather than "showing" us, and I feel that that individual was spot on. If we had some of the story from someone else's POV, it would really help keep it from being so one-sided. Especially when it comes to the guys.

Well, more issues with men, but still a quite interesting story

Your giggles section (damn the autofill of android which gave me erection as the first choice) is good, but then it forces me to watch for other homophones, like formerly instead of formally. It just gives an extra measure of interest to the reading.

Continuing to enjoy the writing, the addition of the casters (and Killian) the termination of Rue and Uisdean, the arrival of Anu, the continued expansion of the fey, etc.

I sometimes wonder at the sources (books) she used to ground her fey in our own legends, what with the Dragons and apparently Chinese mythology, but growing up in Hawaii should have potentially exposed her to the multitude of cultures seen there, to include the Portuguese. It is an indeed interesting world she has built, and i will probably see it through to the end.

This was another great addition to the twilight court story. Raza and Seren finally end up together, T has broken her heart but it seems Raza is the one for her after all. Rue and the evil uncle are destroyed, seren makes new friends a long the way. Seren also faces the loss of her human father, she has really matured this book- even if she has a potty mouth. She is settling into her happy- when of course another evil lurks and ends the vacation. She must now stop her evil aunt. I’m excited to read what happens next and to see if she does take raza’s throne and if she fixes things with T

Great book!

Another wonderful book to add to this series. I really enjoy this author's books. The characters are well developed and the romance is smoking. I have to admit this book was my favorite so far due to the romantic aspect of the plot. I definitely recommend this author.

Choices matter

T, you big stupid lug. First you’re jealous, then you’re not.... and now you’re just a fool.

The twilight court series is growing and changing, falling into a well thought world with delightful characters, complex villains and just enough cheese to avoid the mundane.

Oh, and Raza all the way... though Killian sure is stepping up!

Perfect

It was perfect, as the others before it, but it was a little bittersweet regarding the romance business. It it so well written that util Seren doesn’t explain her reasons to make the choices that she make, you as a reader cannot decide who to cheer for. The suitors for once and the family for other. To be human or Fay?

Such an epic love

Seriously. Is there anything better than Seren and her Raza? ... maybe ;) but at this moment their love is blinding. You can't truly appreciate this series until you've read it through only to read it through again and experience how amazing it was a second, third probably a fourth time. Love Amy Sumida and her amazing creativity.

Witchbane, the fifth book of the Twilight Court series, is a book I picked up through Kindle Unlimited. I enjoyed this story line so much that even a few years since I left off (in favor of the Godhunter series), I still remembered the characters and picked up on the plot immediately. Nicely paced action and good relationship development between the various characters

terrific

Man I love kill and I can’t wait to see how they’re story continues to unfold. I’m so happy she’s finally with raza but super annoyed tieran couldn’t work through his issues too. Also not really a fan of why she finally broke up with him but that’s life. I definitely recommend this book and series it’s marvelous and full of some crazy stuff

Constant harassment and eventual sexual assault is not sexy. Fucking gross. And worst of all the story is disjointed, boring, hypocritical, haphazard, and did I mention boring? Like jesus the author clearly had no idea what was going on in this book. Things were brought in and thrown away all the time for no good reason.

This was a lovely surprise. I had been worried the whole threesome aspect was going to turn it into trash, but that wasn't the case at all. I'm delighted that Seren has finally given Tiernan the boot, and I'm amazed at a wonderful creature Raza really is. It's been a delight to read.

Excellent

I'm power reading my way through this series, as each book sucks me in further into Seren's next adventure, and an ever more layered and fascinating world (well, worlds, technically). Fantasy, action, adventure, handsome men, and a kick-ass heroine.

I really really love these books.

I have officially become Team Raza, which shouldn’t be that big of a surprise. He is romantic and all about Seren.

Idk what it is but Tiernan is a complete dick so I highly hope they don’t get back together.

Witchy

Good read was a little disappointed with the main character at the beginning of this book but she got her mojo back later on. Still a good read with plenty of action, a few twists, magic, steamy romance and good characters.

Still not a Polyamorus romance.

Book five out of the original 9 books and Seren has one boyfriend. Not three like she could have if she'd get with the program just one. I definitely don't like this series as much as The Godhunter books. I can see how others would but this series is too heavy on the serious tones and less on the humor aside from Killian's quips with Seren. Maybe its just these fairies are too serious. Also still not a fan of human looking Raza being bronze rather than midnight black like Tyrese Gibson. Feels like a choice when most of the main men in your stories are not a darker brown in the human world. Look up "hot dark skinned black men shirtless" if you don't know how to describe nipple color and once you're done drooling, write him into a story. Very excited for the next book in the GH series. With this series I'm honestly just reading to see how it goes. Its an okay journey and I want to see where it goes but if I stopped now I also wouldn't be upset.

Seren is now after her uncle and his evil wife. They've crossed too many lines, and now they are in the Human Realm trying to mess things up there.

But, when Seren's adopted father ends up being taken things get even more complicated for Seren. Add in the fact that her boyfriend is also giving her problems, and she has no idea how to deal with all of this. But, King Raza makes an appearance and is there for her, but so is a new friend she made along the way.

This one was a great addition to this series, and I really liked it. I totally hate Seren's boyfriend though, he about drove me up the wall in this one. And I'm not sure I would forgive him if I was here.

But, the book was good, and it had a lot of drama, but also some sadness for Seren as well.

And while I'm kind of hoping this one turns out to be reverse-harem, it's looking like it won't turn out that way.

Now, I must impatiently wait for more.

In this latest instalment of The Twilight Court Series, Seren goes to the human realm in search of her evil Aunt and Uncle who are causing mayhem, and leaving a path of dead bodies in its wake. As we journey through this story with Seren, we discover more about her world and meet some new and interesting characters along the way.
