In just about 172 pages, I had my heart ripped out of my chest, dumped on the floor, stepped on and thrown out the window.

I really did not expect Sammy and Scotch to be this cute and sweet. Scotch (HIS FUCKING NAME IS SAM????) is the sweetest, most amazing and thoughtful boy and Sammy is such an intelligent, loving and loyal girl. They definitely deserved better than the shit that happened to them.

Also, LUC, MARC, AND ANG throughout the book had me like <3333333333

This is book two of the Survivor Series and Book 1 of the Sammy and Scotch series.
This is also tied to the Rollin On series by the same author Emilia Finn.

This book give great insight into the person that is Scotch now, BUT I did not love this book. This is book is full of sweetness and love, BUT it very highschoolish. It just was not what I was expecting from this author, I have read all her Rollin On series books, I read book 1 of this series and this was just so far removed from those, I just did not love it.

The character development was minimal, b/c lets face it there is only so much you can about high school love. You do see more about the band mates, and as I mentioned above you learn a lot about Scotch.

This book is NOT a HEA, this book does have a cliffhanger, I will read the next book and hope that it is more adult.

I don’t read two-parters. I want a HEA ending when I close the cover. But after binging Rolling On, I had to read Survivors, and so it meant just making sure I could download Book 3 immediately.

I am so glad I did.

Finally - where Scotch got his name. (Everybody say Awwww when his Sammy gets hers.)

But that ending - I couldn’t download book 3 fast enough to read the second part. It made sense to me to split their story into two books, because their love really is two stories, and I don’t think the crisis that ends this book would have been effective if it had been in the middle of a longer book.

Omg this series is everything and more I can’t stop reading them to get more from each character and Scotch’s story was no different teenage hormones and all that comes with it heartbreak to match I can’t wait to read the next book in the series this is. Must read series I’d highly recommend to others

Wow this book and corresponding book #3 of the Survivor series! It's cute and heart breaking at the same time. There is this song called "Lost without you" by Freya Ridings. That song goes with Sammy and Sam's story. So it fits both Surviving You and Without You. If books had soundtracks, that song would be it for their story. I highly recommend this book.

Scotch & Sammy. Part 1

I know this book might disappoint some people because there isn’t a happy ending, I seriously hoping that Scotch’s next book has him reuniting with his Sammy. But I loved reading about Scotch and his young love, and how timing screwed it all up. They were so close to having it all.

I have been binge reading all of Emilia Finn’s books. I’m on my 9th book. I am really enjoying them. However, this one, although sweet, lacked drama. Nothing really happens until the end. The following book was so much better. I feel it should have been amalgamated into one, rather than two books on their story. The first part could have been much shorter or more dramatic.

Wow what a story. Turner meets Ricci at the age of 14. He sated he loved her and would marry her. Samantha Ricci family is rich and a different class. Samantha new she didn’t belong in this town and couldn’t wait till she turns 18.
