Broken Angel #2

Born Claimed

Rate this book
Three alphas. Three rules: Take, Tame, and Breed.

The wars never ended. The soldiers scoured the city, and I promised myself I’d never be captured again. When they found me, I was helpless… and pregnant. As the new leaders watched with twisted satisfaction, they strapped me in, stripped me down to my rawest form, and used me as shamefully as they pleased. I was made new.

I became their icon and only source of pleasure. I was worshipped in the worst way possible…

I was born to be their claimed captive omega. But in this prison, I am a shadow of my true self. My captors humiliate me. They film and show the world my darkest secrets. They force me to beg for more…

Killian. Lucas. Vash. As I silently dream, I can feel them hunting for their precious possession of a mate. Soon, they’ll find me, and all of my secrets will be revealed. The world is falling apart, but I have so much more to tell.

*Born Claimed is Book Two of the Broken Angel series. Welcome to Penelope Wood’s dark and twisted Reverse Harem romance omegaverse. There is absolutely no cheating in this trilogy, but there is a cliffhanger - the final book will include a HEA that will leave you completely satisfied and begging for more. Warning: this dark book contains triggering elements.*

This was just an okay read for me. The story does not have a good flow and is very familiar to others I have read in this genre. I did enjoy the dark side of this read but couldn’t get over the other issues to truly enjoy it.

You know you're in trouble when the author's forward says the "words come out on the pages as fragments" because the author designed I that way....unfortunately, the whole book was a fragmented mess. I wanted to think that this book could not be worse than the first, I was wrong. I have never read a more blatant rip off of another author"s works. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

This is a dark story that continues from Born Captive. Rae and the alphas have escaped one horror to enter into another. The themes of failed society, power struggle through sexual dominance and madness intertwined with almost religious idealism are present in the story. As Rae and her pack are separated then reunited in several different ways and situations, it is unclear what they are trying to do. Reunite yes.... but do do what? And go where? There are many characters that enter the plot that seem trustworthy, but are not - yet attempt to be again later. I was confused many times as to what was really going on and to what end. The post apocalyptic backdrop I appreciated, but there were too many pieces to the story changing in too many ways to keep track of. As well, the sheer violence, sexual imagery and parallels to the animal kingdom breeding frenzies were lost on me. The situations happened so often that it was almost desensitizing to read about it over and over. Honestly, by the end I had almost lost interest in the plight of the characters because they were so detached making them impossible to empathize with. Yes they each “did” things and we learn personal bits and pieces about them, but there is really very little depth to them each as whole individuals. How can this plot as it is left suspended in a cliffhanger in this book ever evolve into a HEA based on the pieces provide in this and the previous 1.5 books? Although I would really look forward to the promised eventual HEA, at this time I am unsure I am up to navigating another story with the emotional upheavals like this. I received a free copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

A tale of terror and cruelty!

This unbelievably horrific tale about cruelty and abuse of power and inhumanity set in some distant future was definitely depressing and intriguing . The characters while I'm sure we're crafted by the author with skill had no redeeming qualities. While I'm sure that some might enjoy this book for me it was filled with pointless erotic images that constantly popup in the story at illogical times that made no since, in the middle of escaping for their lives for instance in one scene . This may have been a good story if it was more about a world where society has completely gone wrong instead of another pointless tale about cruelty, sex and mayhem!

The saga continues...

Born Claimed by Penelope Woods is A Dark Omegaverse Romance and book two in The Broken Angel Trilogy. Rae's Dark and twisted journey continues. I found the characters and story exciting, intriguing and addictive. Killian, Lucas, Vash and Rae have gone through a lot and every page of this book is building my anticipation for the third book in their trilogy.

I received an advanced reader's copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.

The whole series is a fragmented mess - between the barely there plot, jumping around, and crap ton of errors - I don't understand how this should be considered a book. I am still left confused and with a headache from this.

This still seems like it is a rip off of another author's works - and it seems this author spent all of their money on ads and giving their book to review sites to get good reviews, cause I don't understand how there are so many high ones unless people's standards are really low.

This is definitely a series you need to read in order to understand. But if you do read them all then you are in for a really intense treat of strong alphas ruled by an incredibly strong omega who leads the world in a whole new direction. Well written but you want to make sure you have enough time to absorb it. It leaves you wanting more. I can't wait for the next one. This would be a great box set.

This is book 2 in the series and once again the way the story was written was all over the place just like book 1. When you have a book that seems as if it's written at different times and then thrown together it's just really hard to get into the story and that's how I felt about this series so far. Now having said that, just because I didn't enjoy the book doesn't mean you won't. Please read all reviews as well as the authors synopsis to see if this may be a book for you.

Rae's story continues, along with her 3 alphas, and we add several new characters and tormentors to the tale. Still very dark, this book is an absolute roller coaster of emotions. A true page turner that I just couldn't put down. I'll be starting the third book as soon as I catch a few hours of dream filled sleep.

While this book was entertaining, I missed the connection between the characters from the first book. It was a difficult read for me but the author does a wonderful job of maintaining the suspense and intensity in the scenes. I look forward to reading the next book as I need a HEA.

I read the first book. Book two like the first is a bit confusing at first. However, once you get into the flow of the characters is a good read.

Great story line

Definitely a great story line but a little hard to follow what is going on in parts. Still looking forward to the next book in this series.
