I will definitely use this as a reference book for specific things, but overall the book was a bit of a let down. Had purchased it on Amazon based on the reviews, but what I didn't realize is that many of the things in this book refers to styles that were more common in the 90's. Did not feel that it really held up to it's title of "Couture".
I'm not sure "cool couture" and actual couture have much in common.
The few examples shown felt very dated.
Some good information about tools and tips for working with troublesome luxurious fabrics. The technique section was hit or miss - some really nice while others had me shaking my head thinking WTF.
Some of my disappointment may be because of ebook format.
Wow and wow. Such a rich resource. I've been sewing for 55 years. Have taken a few classes. This adds rich resources. I can see a piped rainbow trim on a bag coming my way.
okay, i didn't 'read' this book, but you know, i checked it out and looked at it. there are some interesting tips and techniques; i might consult it again
