Scathing indictment of the racist society that persists to this date. Outlines the crimes, patterns and systemic biases that are hallmark of the status quo. Should be a mandatory reading for high school students.

This should be required reading in schools. It gives a concise outline of the experiences of Black Americans under the genocidal practices of the US government from the end of Reconstruction up to the civil rights era. It also offers an insightful yet accessible critical analysis of the economic forces and interests that ultimately drive institutionalized racism in America.

The book was not proofread before going to the press. Several sentences were discombobulated.
