North American Hunting Club, part of the Hunter's Information Series. 13th printing. The book is bound in red and gold stamped cloth covered boards with a pictorial inlay. A fine copy without dust jacket as issued.
This book is written with an aim towards polishing the education of experienced mule deer hunters. Novices will quickly learn this in the first few chapters and likely drop out. If you are looking to add some knowledge and skills to your existing repertoire of mule deer acumen, this is a good place to start.
Maybe I was expecting too much by the title. As an experienced mule deer hunter there wasn't much new information that I learned from this book. I appreciate the author's depth of knowledge and experience. Some of the chapters were laborious to get through, and this is a dated book (copyright 1988). In some places in read almost as dry as a technical manual.
