4 Stars!

... Mr. millionaire and Ms. billionaire.

I've been eyeing this one for so long. The blurb piqued my interest and I was intrigued by the number of low stars and dnfs. I was just wondering. Who the fuck was Mr. Spencer?

Note: This is an age gap, billionaire romance.

"Why the hell do they hate me so much when they don’t even know me?"

Mr. Spencer was an architect and a steel manufacturing company owner. He was known as England's most eligible manwhore, womanizer, homewrecker, or whatever you like to call him.

It was an insta-lust when he first saw Charlotte. She was the daughter of one of the most richest man in England. Charlotte was rich. She was wealthier than Spencer.

Spencer took Charlotte as a challenge. He never planned to quit until he would have bedded her. One night, Spencer found out that Charlotte was a virgin. He hesitated. He was afraid to hurt her because it wasn't in his nature to be gentle. Charlotte kicked him out because she thought he was disgusted in virgins.

*Contains Spoilers*

Spencer had sex with ow after he failed to see Charlotte multiple times. He imagined it was her who he was fucking. Spencer never done that before to any woman. He regretted using his friend Sheridan. And he felt like he betrayed Charlotte.

I have no problem with this one. They weren't in a relationship. So, not a big deal at all.

"I feel like I cheated on Charlotte, even though we are nothing to each other."

When they unexpectedly met again at a blind date, Charlotte lied and told him she wasn't a virgin anymore. She did this in hopes that maybe he would like to be with her. Of course, Spencer was furious. He accused her of sleeping with her bodyguard. They completely fooled themselves. He was clueless. She was clueless.

“And then the worst news of my life comes. So, there I was, being all gallant and leaving her fucking hot hymen in place for her future husband, and some other asshole has flown in and stolen it right out from beneath me.”

Charlotte finally gave in to Spencer's unyielding determination to date her. She didn't mind his reputations. She liked him. He liked her. He wanted to change for her. There's nothing holding them back.

Until William. Charlotte's brother.

William recognized Spencer as soon as he stepped into the restaurant where they supposed to have a family dinner. William caught him sleeping with his wife years ago. Spencer had no idea then that his wife was a married woman. She told him that she was divorced.

This was where the real drama came in. I liked how Spencer groveled. The pain and the regret when Charlotte left him was so tangible. I really felt it. The feeling that if he could just change the past, he would.

"This is God punishing me. I’m being punished for being promiscuous before I met her. My love… gone."

I laughed, swooned, and cried for Spencer and Charlotte. They were a perfect pair for me. An expert and a naive. The best! And truly, I hated manwhores. But why do I liked Spencer?

My issues with this one were mostly at the ending. I disliked the part where Spencer was angry with Charlotte when she asked him for a second chance. She basically had the right to leave him! Imagine thinking he fucked her brother's wife. Yes! He has reasons. But he should understand her. She needed time to think and move on. It was crazy. gods!

And the sex scenes, it was too much for my liking. But if you like some smut, then this one is definitely for you.

Moreover, the ending was kind of hurried. It ended too fast after Spencer and Charlotte resolved the conflict. It went straight to epilogue that jumped from now to two years and five years later, which I did not like.

Speaking of Spencer, I loved how he grew. I was greatly inspired by his amazing journey in self-development. A broken hero like him who could love so deep deserved a happy ever after.

“I don’t give a fuck if you don’t like me,” I shout. “But you will not punish her for loving me.”

If you want to read this book or are excited about reading this then please do not read my review. It might contain spoilers.

H is a PLAYER MANWHORE WOMANIZER...and whatever you call guys who can’t keep it in their pants.

The h...well she is one of the richest kid with overprotective father and brother, and is very sweet and innocent.

When they first meet he flirts with her, which was all very lame. Cheap pickup lines. She tries to resist but he still tries to steal kisses. But thank god she comes to her senses and stops him and leaves.

But curiosity gets her and she googles him after going home. After reading and SEEING the searches, she vows to never even think about him.
Good.
Smart girl.
Not.
Because next time they meet he asks her out for dinner and she is all yes.

Again he uses lame lines like ‘You are beautiful but different ‘ blah blah. They go to her house and are ready for a good session.
But then she blurts out she is a virgin and the H is shocked that how can he fuck an innocent virgin, because virgins are needy and all. While he is thinking this she misunderstands that he is not interested and so she kicks him out of her house.

And then the next day the H gives whole details to his friends including the fact that she is a virgin. What? How could he? Because he is a pig. The conversations then very quickly moves to how he is gonna have fun with his usual ow.

And he does have fun with the ow. Full fledged and full of satisfaction sex. Amazing. And these stupid silly reason like he was thinking of the h while effing the ow........Please spare me the crap.

Anyways.
This seems like a very lengthy drama. The H is very unlikable. I hated him. He is too cocky and disgusting.
There is a good amount of ow drama. His fuckbuddy of 10 years tries to create drama. He even agrees to go to dinner with her to end the relationship amicably. Lmfao.

But I will not complain about the H as the blurb itself makes it clear about his disgusting reputation. But even after meeting the h, he hasn’t changed much. He is those asshole guys who don’t want any other men near the h but he can have as many women as he wants. He is rude to her bodyguard and her brother because they are possessive of her. And what the hell is he?

And then the best thing ..

My first one-star review of this year and a perplexing, amateurish story that was as slow as much as it was shallow.

Also, Charlotte is one of the most insipid female characters ever created and I'm convinced I did not read the same book as the other reviewers! Sorrynotsorry.

Lady and the tramp!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙
Romance: 💚🖤💙❤️💜
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘📔
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌏🌎
Character development: ☺️😉😀😘🥰

The Hero: Spencer Jones - An architect who owns a steel manufacturing company, he designed a new form of steel and ships to most first world countries. He is also one of the most well known rakes and womanizers in England. He says he has met the right girl, over and over, but has never found anyone that is worth fighting himself over. He loves women, sex and independence.

The heroine: Lady Charlotte Prescott - She is the daughter of an Earl, one of the wealthiest men in England, who has many interests in casinos and other companies. She has been sheltered and protected her entire life by her father, brother and bodyguards. She will some day be expected to marry someone from her same social status, though that kind of thing doesn’t matter at all to her.

The Story: Charlotte first sees Spencer at a charity ball and is immediately attracted to him and interested. Though when she finds out about his reputation, her interest wanes. He sees her and likes what he sees. He tracks her down in the garden and kisses her in the moonlight.

Charlotte is wary of Spencer and very naïve when it comes to men. She gets scared when the kiss becomes something more and runs away. Though Spencer tracks her down and gets her to agree to go on a date. Though Charlotte is worried about Spencer’s womanizing ways, she likes him as a person and they have chemistry like crazy.

Like Mr. Masters this book is told in dual points of view in dual narration. I love that there are two narrators but like duet narration much better, where the male narrator does all the male voices and the female does the female voices. Dual narration has them each narrating all the voices within the chapter based on whose POV the chapter is in. I don’t like that as much because the female narrator has to do male voices and vice versa.

The narration was done by Sofia Lette and Shane East, both of whom do a great job. They both do the British accent perfectly, I am not sure if they are from England or not, but certainly sound like it. Shane has a deep sexy voice and Sofia has a clear sophisticated voice that matches Lady Charlotte exactly.

This had intricate storylines about the families of the two main characters and the past. I really liked Charlotte because though she was wealthy and polished, she had been raised by her mother who came from a normal background and the money and status didn’t mean anything to her. I thought Spencer was sexy, funny and a great guy. I love how T.L. Swan is so great at writing relationships, not just romance and smut. Also the supporting characters are always great in her books.

“She’s like a giant golden uterus. Just waiting to be fertilized.”

Meh this was ok. I was entertained and I liked the drama and the MCs were likeable most of the time when they’re not being immature and some side characters are kinda cool. I even like the asshole brother! But honestly, I just can’t get over some things.

It’s a good thing I was in a good mood otherwise I would’ve disliked this.

First of all, I already had some underlying hate/disgust for the H, Spencer, just cuz of the appalling story he told from the first book about that sexfest he had with his fbuddy’s roommate for 6 hours, which involved viagra... Like, EW. That was not funny at all and it was just plain disgusting. But honestly, I kinda liked him here just cuz he was really sweet to the heroine and he was like her personal cheerleader and was helping her achieve her dreams. I admire that but UGH he can just be a lil annoying sometimes.

And I somewhat like the h, Charlotte. She was no pushover when it comes to the H and I liked how she calls him out when his man ho past causes some problems.
She was a little too insecure tho but I’m glad she knows it and tries to work on it and honestly can’t blame her cuz how can u trust a man who was the biggest man ho on Earth?

There was a bit of OW drama here and the H did sleep with OW, Sheridan, after meeting the h. They’ve been fbuddies for 10 YEARS, btw.
I hated this obviously cuz it just makes the H look like an asshole who can’t control his dick but its a good thing there were NO explicit scene. It was just mentioned and he was thinking of the h while he was with OW (which I honestly found disgusting).
Idk why I somewhat tolerated this but I did. Maybe cuz he felt horrible and felt like he cheated on h? Yeah. Like yes u deserve to feel horrible, idc.
And I tolerated this OW drama some more cuz he never loved her, rejected her, and told the h their encounters.

I kinda hate how during their separation, he was letting the OW console him AND the fact that he misses her sometimes cuz she was a friend too. I get it. 10 years is a long time but damn I would be uncomfortable as hell if I were the h.
And I’m kinda confused as to how he keeps saying he and OW can’t be friends cuz they either fight or end up in bed... So, is he saying that if they talk to each other again, he has no control with his dick and even if he loves the h, he’ll still sleep with the OW cuz “that’s just how they are”? Wtf...

What annoyed me here is the fact when MCs are fighting, H calls h a bitch and tries to act like the victim when HE was in the wrong. Like why tf was he throwing a tantrum when h DESERVEDLY avoided him after finding out he was the man who was sleeping with her brother’s wife!
He does do some grovelling, I admit, but after that he was acting like the victim... again. And then h’s friend and OW had the audacity to tell her she was in the wrong and she was being selfish for not forgiving him... Like, tf??? I get that happened in the past and he didn’t know the OW was married but give the girl some time to think bishhh.

And ugh lets not even start with the abrupt ending and lackluster HEA.

I liked this cuz I was in the mood for drama but this is the first time I couldn’t get past the H’s man ho past.
Was I glad it bit him in the ass tho? F yess.

2 ⭐⭐ - Meh!

====================
Sex with another woman after meeting and having feelings for our heroine.
He had a past full of women and scandals in the media.
Our hero still has a sexual relationship with a woman (fuck buddies), she lives in another state, for 10 years, they are friends and business partners. But they are not exclusive. She appears to cause trouble and declares love to him.
Our heroine is controlled by her family and very immature. She is insecure and inexperienced. Her father and brother are paranoid and possessive.
The hero looks like a teenager, not a 37-year-old man.
Drama drama and more drama.
It had funny scenes, but they are not enough to make the story good.
At first I thought the story would be cool, but then the drama started and went downhill.

======================
“Most eligible bachelor in London. An appalling rake.” She raises an eyebrow. “He’s loaded from what I hear, and I don’t mean his wallet is loaded.”

“Page two of the gossip pages, and he’s on the tip of every single woman’s tongue in London. I do mean literally.” She links her arm through mine. “He’s a look but don’t touch kind of man. Don’t even think about it.”

I glance over to my dear friend. “I’ll bet you two hundred pounds that I have a date with her by this time next week.” “Double it. Four hundred,” snaps Masters. “You don’t have a chance with her.”

She’s also very different than my usual taste in women. She has a gentle air about her.

I smile down at her and stuff the key into my pocket. “If you’ll excuse me, I have to see someone.”

Excitement rolls over me. “The thrill of the chase is alive and well, my friend.”

Every image is of him is with a different woman. They’re all gorgeous with the majority of the photos taken at night by the paparazzi. Models, actors, fame-hungry whores. Oh…

I get a vision of the all the images of him with women from Google, and I cringe. Being one of those stupid girls is the last thing I need.

If I take her virginity she’ll become needy and attached, and I’ll only fuck this shit up. Girls fall in love with their first sexual partner and I don’t do love.

I’m not wired to be with just one woman.

“Sheridan is in town this week. She’ll snap me out of it.” “God, you’ve been on and off with her for a long time.” “About ten years, I think.” “Why don’t you just make a go of it with her?” Masters frowns. I screw up my face in disgust. “It’s not like that between us.”

“Oh, yeah, I’ll fuck her ‘til she can’t walk.” I bite the food from my fork. “When she’s in London, she’s mine.” “How often does she come here?” “Four times a year.” “How long does she stay each visit?” I shrug. “Ten days or so.”

Sheridan is the CEO of a multi conglomerate global company. At the age of thirty-five, that’s a huge accomplishment.

She gets me like nobody else ever has. We have a sexual relationship based on trust and friendship, but we both know this for what it is.

She chuckles. “Oh God, Spence, she won’t be able to hold you sexually. I can’t, and I know how to fuck.”

She leans down and takes my face in her hands, and then she kisses me slowly. My cock hardens instantly.

I walk into the bedroom to see Sheridan naked on her hands and knees on top of the bed.

On the side table sits an array of dildos and lubricant. My cock instantly hardens.

I unzip my pants with a brand new urgency. “On your back, legs open,” I growl.

I fucked Sheridan, and the only way I could make myself come was by imagining she was Charlotte. I’ve done it for three nights in a row.

My eyes snap open. “You imagined you were having sex with me when you were inside another woman?” I snap. “Oh… shit… I mean...”

“So, Sheridan is your girlfriend who lives in another country?” “No, she’s just a friend.” “Who you have sex with?”

Sheridan. What am I going to do about that one? She’s due here in the next couple of weeks.

“I needed to see what was going on with my man.”

“We belong to each other first and foremost, Spencer.” “This one’s different, Shez.”

She walks over and slides her key into my pocket, pressing a soft kiss to my lips. “Women will come and go with you, Spencer, but I’m here forever and, unlike them, my love for you is unconditional.” I stare at her. “I’m here for ten days,” she whispers.

I keep looking through the cabinets. I wish I could ask Sheridan for her opinion. She’s always been my confidant. I miss her. Not the sex, I don’t miss sleeping with her. I miss her friendship but I know that one comes with the other and it’s not possible to have her in my life anymore.

She takes me in her arms again and holds me tight. “It’s okay. I’m here now, baby.

“Spence,” Sheridan whispers, taking me in her arms.

“Is Charlotte still on your case about getting married?” Masters asks. “She hasn’t mentioned it for a while. Hopefully she’s given up.”

The synopsis sounded interesting and I thought why not.

Hero is a manwhore.

Heroine was from distinguished titled family. Innocent and protected by the males in her family. She was very guarded, especially with the male population.

Hero see's heroine and wants heroine. Purses her, but she's thinking it's not going to work as she's attracted to the hero but very aware of his reputation.

Heroine let's the hero know it isn't going to work. He's sad but hey his friends with benefits arrives in town and shows up at his office with an invitation. Hero say sure why not and has a three day sex festival with friends with benefits. But hey it's all okay, because he imagined it was the heroine the whole three days. OH PLEASE!!!! 🙄

Anyway the hero and heroine do make a go of it. Lot's of drama with her family opposing the hero, the friends with benefits drama, well you get the picture.

I found the hero one dimensional, very little character development and unappealing. The heroine character had a little more depth and development, but not by much. And the friend with benefits scene was a joke.

I almost dnf but decided to slug it through.

First time reading this author.

How about fucking never? Hero meets heroine, wants heroine, but can’t keep his dick in his pants and fucks some sleazy skank he uses as a dirty gym sock when he wants to get off. Heroes who slime around with skanks after meeting the heroine can fuck themselves to death. This ugly trope needs to die a bloody, painful, screaming death.

After finish this book I needed to process. Maybe on the floor with a glass with wine.

3.5 stars (only because I actually loved Spencer so much), but I'm not rating it up because I really don't think I like Charolette. Maybe I did.

For me, there are two kinds of drama in a book. The good kind....

Like good old OW or family drama. Someone trying to kill you or kidnap you. But no matter what the couple stays strong and together. They COMMUNICATE!! They trust each other. They might get upset for a hot minute, but then they stop and think and realize there are two sides to every story.

Then you have the bad kind of drama...

And that is the shit I struggle with. The drama that happens because two people don't trust each other, and they make their conclusions and trust what others say before they even think to trust the person they love.

This book had me all over the place. Some parts I really like. Some parts I really disliked (but the not parts everyone else did, lol). Do I care that he slept with someone else after meeting h, when he thought they were done. Nope, they met twice people. Why are we okay with our heroines dating other guys, going back and forth between two guys, etc. But our heros better keep that shit in their pants from the start of the book. Please.

Now, don't get me wrong. There were definitely some parts of the book with Spencer that I slapped my head.

But overall, I actually enjoy him. Especially during their fights.

Charlotte on the other had.

One minute I liked her, the next I wanted to slap the bitch. There were so many WTF moments with her in this book. Then the ending happened.

This is where this genre gets me. So much necessary separation and drama. One gets mad and stays mad to too long, so the one who is begging is now mad. Then the one who was mad at first can't understand why the other one won't at least let them talk about it, even though they didn't let said person explain shit to them.

The writing was decent. It was not a short book (over 500 pages), so it took me a solid 8 hrs to finish it. Did I read this in one sitting...

So for that it gets a 3.5 stars, instead of a 3. Let me just say, this is definitely a good book on the SMUT-scale. And if the constant miscommunication doesn't bug the shit out of you (which is why I struggle with so many New Adult books), then this is a solid fun read. I laughed quite a few times, maybe more than the times I was frustrated.

I think i'm still on the hunt for a good age gap/alpha male book, without the girl driving me crazy. Let me know if you know one!

This series is so fun and bingeable. I loved that Julian and Bree made appearances in this story as well. Spencer was so naughty and funny so naturally really liked him. Mr. Spencer is the second book by T.L. Swan that I have read and it was another 5 star. After finishing Mr. Masters I couldn't wait to read another book by this author so imagine my excitement when I found out this book was coming soon. I will admit to being a little nervous about Spencer's book because of his past numerous partners. So please be advised that if an H with an extensive list of past partners bothers you, you may not enjoy this one. I personally loved it from beginning to end. Spencer and Charlotte were awesome together. Spencer was charming, funny and filthy. He is older than Charlotte but honestly most of the time he seems younger. He enjoys life to the fullest and never takes himself to seriously. What I loved most about him is when he needs to be serious he doesn't shy away from responsibility. Watching him fall in love and put his heart totally into Charlotte was my favorite. Although he has gone through many woman, he isn't a cheater and did everything in his power to make Charlotte happy. Charlotte was sweet and innocent but not naïve. Due to her family and her wealth she is protected but she longs to be normal and have a normal life. Spencer brings her so much happiness and I loved watching her blossom with him. Of course life isn't easy and when you have slept your way through the phone book its bound to come back and ruin it all. I loved their HEA and I can't wait for Sebastian's book.

This book was filled with lots of dramas but everything was kind of predictable. I am not fond of the authors writing style. The dramas would have been fun if it was written well, unfortunately the author failed to deliver the plot with suspense and thrill. Even though this book had potential, It's just turned out another random, cliche book.

There are certainly some highs and lows when it comes to books by TL Swan, and unfortunately for me, this one was a huge miss.

DNF at 30 percent. I can only apologise for how long and rambly this review turned out to be - I wouldn’t usually rate DNF’s but I had too much to say.

Mr Spencer follows Spencer Jones and Lady Charlotte. It’s an age-gap high society romance where Charlotte is attempting to take a break from the oppression of her controlling family by secretly going undercover at a mail room job in London.

Don’t get me wrong, this book has all the hallmarks of a great TL Swan book - a swoon-worthy hero, laugh-out-loud moments, and some heartfelt romance, but I just hated the overall story and premise.

Spencer was obsessed with Charlotte from the moment he met her, and it was an extremely brief meeting. There was no build-up, and I was supposed to accept that the biggest playboy in England no longer wanted to sleep around because he’d spent around 3 minutes with this girl that is 14 years younger than him. He proceeds to show up at her work, and talk her into taking him back to her place. Stalker much? Pass.

Charlotte’s virginity is a major plot point, and I HATE that - like it made me mad every time it was mentioned. Spencer literally calls Charlotte perfect because she’s a virgin - why? What year was this written in? He ends up kicking himself for missing out, not because she’s an interesting, intelligent woman, but because she offered him her virginity, and he didn’t take it. Ugh.

Charlotte also lives in blissful ignorance of how truly terrible her family treat her - she has an extremely controlling older brother, and the father literally calls her his ”most prized possession”. Like the red flags in her life are f*ckin everywhere. She even meets with a friend in London who continues to dictate who she should be speaking to, and again, she brushes it off as him being a protective friend.

Covering up for controlling and possessive behaviour by calling it protectiveness is dangerous. Whether it’s a partner, family member or friend, it’s gross and unhealthy. I could almost accept it for the plot if Spencer wasn’t also giving off a controlling vibe - but unfortunately, it didn’t look like he was going to be the hero I needed, he was just more of the same.

There’s other woman drama, which wouldn’t usually bother me, but with Charlotte playing the perfect virgin, it was annoying. Spencer admits to imagining Charlotte when he’s sleeping with another women, and she’s mad for a second before she ultimately gets over it and accuses herself of overreacting. Aghhh.

I could go on all day about everything wrong with the first third of this book, but I’ll leave you with the final straw. The moment that had me rolling my eyes and finally DNFing. This 38-year-old millionaire came to face-to-face with his arch nemesis ~ STOP IT. No self-respecting adult would ever claim to have an arch nemesis… surely?! This also feels like a plot TL Swan has done to death at this point.

I can’t believe this book came from the same author that’s given us the Miles High Club series. I get that maybe there’s a journey to go on, but for me, Charlotte wasn’t pushing back enough, asking the right questions or standing her ground. I had no hope that she’d dig herself out from the black hole of rich people privilege that her family had shoved her into.

I’m out!

Charlotte and Spence meet you and it’s insta-lust.

Spencer is 37,a man-whore, he’s had a steady side piece for 10 years, plus he gets around....a lot. He’s also a man-child who pouts, rolls his eyes, and stomps and storms about.

Charlotte is 25, rich and sheltered. She has an overprotective father and brother.. and body guards. She acts like a wimp and allows them to boss her around.

Sheridan is the OW, her and Spencer have had a friends with benefits relationship for 10 years. Although I wasn't overly pleased with her the couple of times she threw herself at Spencer after he said he just wanted friends - the benefits. I can acknowledge that they had a solid friendship, and a commitment to always make each other their top friendzone priorities. She wasn't the typical skank we see, and I honestly think she didn't realize how serious it was. Or how she felt about him until it was too late. I think in the end of the book, she shows just what a great friend she is, and that her love for Spencer is genuine.

Both characters are new to relationships, and super immature. I found them equal parts annoying and entertaining. I found Charlotte the harder to stomach though; I hate heroines that are weak and allow family members to boss them around...grow a pair of lady balls Char!! I know Spencer got a lot of flack from readers about being a manwhore, but I wonder if most of those reviewers finished the book, because I've got to say in my opinion …. he was a better, more supportive and mature partner in the duo. I felt is was super immature of Charlotte to demand he have no relationship with Sheridan....they were business partners and BFF's. She could have handled it like a grown up and attended dinner with the two of them, or set some ground rules. I also felt the way she handled the big drama at the end of the book very childish... she was punishing him for something that happened four years earlier, and wouldn't give the love of her life a chance to even explain. I was actually happy he made her wait 2 years in the epilogue. I LOVED the smackdowns she got from her friend Beth, and Sheridan laid down...

"You know what? I wish Spencer Jones had fallen in love with me because there is no way in fucking hell I would be sitting in the fucking prison with you. Your father didn't talk to you for eight weeks because he didn't get his own way, Charlotte. Where was Spencer when you needed him?"

"No you wouldn't, because you're a selfish little bitch who won't even listen to what he has to say. You're so fucking caught up in your own agenda, you can't see the forest from the trees."

Overall, not a bad read. I did feel like it was too long. *Side note- FYI a few reviewers commented that the ending was very abrupt...It is kind of confusing, (because it says The End)but the story continues with an epilogue that is for 2 years in future (S's POV) and then another 5 years (C's POV)

4 stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
No way, am I able to attempt or give a concise review of this book or even justify why I really enjoy this author's "messed up" heroes so much....and Spencer Jones is definitely "all that" as well as a "terrible" manwhore to boot....but I do find myself really devouring these sexy, angsty and dare I say romantic reads.❤
These books are not technically safe for some of the more trigger conscious readers but the writing, the intensity of these reads, the chemistry between the lead characters and the storylines themselves - simply draw me in so fast to these books and they have me totally enamored right up until the very end. I am so loving Ms. Swan's steamy romances.❤ Yeah!!!

I actually didn't expect to enjoy this one as much as "Mr Masters" for some reason but in reality I found myself absolutely taken with this tale of the manwhore and the virgin.
Another one for the reread pile!!!!😊

Oh, Mr Spencer!

It's no secret that I love me some of Swan’s writing.

This is Spencer’s story. We first met him in Mr Masters, as one of Julian’s best friends. You don't necessarily need to read Swan's books in order, but I would recommend starting with the Stanton series and working your way through.

Make no qualms about it, Spencer Jones is a colossal playboy and has been all his life. He meets Charlotte at a wedding and alas the stars align and he’s found his soulmate.

I’ll be honest, usually I don’t care for stories that involve characters with such vastly different backgrounds, if Lottie was my friend in real life I would encourage her to go and live a little, after all we all need to taste what we don’t want before we know what we do want. But seeing as though this is Swan, I’ll let it go!

As always, Swan fills her books with storyline and lots of surprises along the way. I didn’t see the twist at the end with “Stephanie” coming, which I thought was well crafted in. I haven’t rated this one as high as I usually rate these books as I felt towards the last half there was a bit too much time spent in the bedroom and I did skip some of these repetitive scenes, also I can’t believe I am saying this but Spencer and Charlotte were a little too nice for my taste.

Reading this did remind me that I skipped reading Dr. Stanton’s book, which I have absolutely no idea why I haven’t read yet and will rectify ASAP.

Mr. Spencer by TL Swan is the story of Spencer Jones and Charlotte Preston.
Charlotte is a young women who has a very protective family so this has kept her somewhat protected. But she has spirit that can stand up to Spencer. Spencer is a older man who has been a real player who likes it that way. But then he meets the young Charlotte who is showing him what he didn't know he wanted, but now he must have. This book takes you through allot of emotions and hurt but for me I really enjoyed it. Hope to read more from this author!

I loved this! Charlotte’s character development was beautifully written and Spencer is the absolute perfect combination of sweet and supportive + bossy and dominant.

That ending was rushed and chaotic though 😂 it felt like every 2 pages a main character was having complete change of heart 😂

Also, I’m going to be very petty and very immature and point out that I definitely could have done without the fucking Stanton’s cameo (this is my least favourite book ever, despite the fact that TL Swann is one of my favourite authors ever)

First of all, one book about Spencer isn’t enough. I really do want more...
This book was so amazing, but I didn’t like much the female character, because this, I didn’t give 5 stars.
She was so immature, and she was lacking of something.
I don’t know.
But Spencer is the most perfect character created by TL Swan.
It’s worth the reading!

FRTC. I need to think.

Ok, so here’s the thing. I fell in love with this author after I read Dr Stanton and Stanton, but all her other books, including this one seemed like they were written by someone else.

I didn’t hate, nor like it.
If you want to know everything that’s horrible about this story, read my friend Tianna’s review.
I don’t agree with all her opinions about it, especially when she mentions the hero sleeping with another woman. Yes, he fucked someone else and climaxed only because he imagined he was actually with the heroine. A little bit disturbing, if you ask me.

In the end it’s a free book with KU subscription that you can read and decide for yourself if you like it or not.
