She's my, gorgeous, older, feisty agent... and I have no business wanting her.
Who could have predicted you'd walk into my life? Ruined me in the best and worst of ways. . . changed me forever? But how can I compete with the frivolous gifts and exotic destinations he dangles in your face? I shouldn't even have the balls to try. All I can give you are words, notes, and melodies. Like the songs recorded on this album, some of which were created because of you. You already have my heart. Does he have yours? He may be perfect on paper. Cookie-cutter. Clean. Neat. Stable. I'm anything but those things. With me, you'll get messy and dirty. The ride will be tumultuous and chaotic. But I can guarantee you one thing: Our life together would be epic.

I have been along on the Devil’s Lair wild ride since book one in the amazing The Back-Up series. I’ve ridden the highs and lows, loved every minute, and am so happy to see Lori finally get her happily ever after.
Lori has been through the wringer personally and professionally. She’s getting a fresh start with becoming Cannon’s agent and she’s determined not to make the same mistakes again. But there’s just something about Cannon, something beyond his model good looks and sexy body. His voice, his words, his actions speak loudly to her. Lori and Cannon are delicious together—even though Lori tried really hard not to fall into Cannon’s arms or let him into her heart. But there was no stopping him—Cannon was on a mission to 1) win her heart and 2) become the next big rock star. Well, damn if he didn’t succeed at both!
I couldn’t read Liner Notes fast enough to see where Lori and Cannon ended up. I loved their romance—it was fun, snarky, sweet, sexy, swoony and just all around perfect. Catching up with old friends—Jack and Leila—was just the cherry on top of this perfect sundae treat. ~ Missy, 5 "Better" stars
I’ve been with Devil’s Lair since the very beginning, witnessing each member of the band find their better half even as they struggled both personally and professionally. And in Liner Notes, a spin-off of A.M. Madden’s exceedingly popular Back-Up series, Madden takes readers back into the world of musicians as Lori Banzini works to make Cannon Davis the next big rockstar, which is completely doable because he has the looks, the demeanor, and the musical abilities to make it big.
While Madden has definitely put Lori through the ringer, the Lori readers meet in Liner Notes is a woman who’s determined to live smarter, to not repeat the same bad habits as before, and as an agent for LRV Media, she needs to prove herself to the company as well as herself, and signing Connor Davis as her client is the first step in starting over and proving that she can be better than the woman she was before.
Cannon is absolutely an alpha male, but he’s not an asshole; in fact, he’s quite the opposite, which is why I adored him. He refuses to not dream big, both personally and professionally, and that shines through in the story in how he approaches his music and the passion he has for what he does as well as how he refuses to accept any and all reasons why he and his agent should be so much more. Winning Lori’s heart is just as important to Cannon as becoming a successful musician, and it’s his unending determination to have it all that drives him forward, that prompts him to tear down all of Lori’s walls and prove to her how good they could be as a couple.
What I liked best about how A.M. Madden crafted Lori and Cannon’s relationship is that she didn’t rush anything between them. Even though it’s clear that they are attracted to each other, Lori is all about not mixing business with pleasure, which means she fights tooth and nail to keep herself in check because she doesn’t want to make the same mistakes she has in the past. So while I would consider Liner Notes a bit of a slow burn, it needs to happen in the timeframe it does. There has to be a build-up, the back and forth, the push and pull. It wouldn’t be true to the woman Lori hopes to become if she gave into her desire for Cannon immediately, especially because she’s his agent, and first and foremost, her focus should be on his career, not on getting him into bed.
Liner Notes is another great story by A.M. Madden. She definitely knows how to write rocker romances, and I can’t wait for her next one! 4.5 Poison Apples
A love story with great characters, a lot of heat and some heart felt moments perfectly sums up Liner Notes. Vibrant Lori, a girl with a past filled with hurt, is looking to start over and live smarter. Cannon Davis, a star about to explode, is a young man who is sensitive yet determined. These two collide, the attraction is immediate with one wanting to explore where it will lead (Cannon) and the other fighting it because she is afraid to repeat her mistakes. The push and pull between them makes for a great read.
I love the entire Back-Up Series and so I totally enjoyed hooking with Jack and Leila. They feel like old friends, the kind you really like to be around. I liked the support they gave Lori and Cannon as they waded through their tough times. Jack and Leila are not just old friends, they are good friends, the type you want to have in your corner.
Fair warning, have some tissues handy when reading the epilogue. It was the perfect ending.
Thank you A. M. Madden for gifting me this ARC and for once again transporting me to the wonderful world of your characters. You said you wished they were real, but they are - in our hearts and minds - because of you.
Why am I not surprised that AM Madden has done it again!! I cannot begin to explain how amazing it has been to read AMs books over the last several years. She was my first ever Indie Author and I instantly fell in love with her Back-Up series! It's been surreal to watch her writing style change over the years.
I am over the moon excited about Cannon Davis!!! Holy Moly! He has without a doubt become my favorite in this series!! And boy does Lori give him a run for his money! Being her first big time client since Cliffhangers, can she turn this young singer into an up and coming rock star? Not without a challenge!! I love that this story ties in with the rest of the series and you even get snipits from some of the previous characters. Hands down another favorite to add into my long pile from Madden! This is a Stand Only novel however it does tie into the series, might as well read them all!! One click this must read!!!
*I was gifted a copy of this novel in exchange for my honest review.*
The saying that you have to fight for what you want, Yeah that sums up this beautiful romance between Cannon and Lori. They both have to fight for their dreams. For Cannon, it the dream of sharing his art with the world and for his other half to be along for the ride. For Lori, the dream is to be accepted and loved for who she is, and for others to see her as... well just her. But first she has to accept herself as the person she is not someone others will approve of. That my friends is the crux of their romance. Just like the notes written on the graph, their fight for what is obvious has it's highs and lows, but the chorus is the same heart and soul they share, giving you an epic song that bears it all. So the question of if you want it bad enough you have to fight for it? Yeah, Cannon is one relentless, stubborn hunk of a man that will charm your heart out! Steamy and sexy with a dash of Alpha Male claiming this book is more than just Liner notes it is the whole platinum album waiting you heart to hear.
4.5 I just finished Liner Notes (A Lair Novel) by A.M. Madden, and I’m having one of those HOW DID I NOT READ THE BACK-UP series moments? Facepalm. I love rock romances and A.M. Maddens other books, and for some stupid reason, I didn’t read this series yet. I’m shaking my head as I write this. Cannon and Lori’s story was excellent. Some of the central characters from The Back-Up series and their stories were incorporated into Liner Notes. I think a few spoilery instances needed to be disclosed to understand Lori’s background fully. There was nothing mentioned that would deter me from reading the other books. If anything, it made me want to read the entire series more! This rock romance packed the perfect about of heat and heart and absolutely one-click worthy. This is a standalone.
Liner Notes, A Lair Novel by A.M. Madden is the story of Cannon Davis and Lori Banzini. Lori is working to start fresh after some bad relationships and working towards a new career. This leads her to find a new talent Cannon, a young up and coming musician/signer. Of course they are immediately attracted to each other, but Lori feels she has learned her lesson in that dating field. Of course Cannon has other ideals and wants to prove what they can have. Enjoyed their story.
OMG! A.M. Madden has done it again with such an amazing book and characters. I was totally blown away by this story... It was so GOOD I already want to read it again! Cannon is beyond words the man you want to fall in love with. He & Lori have an immediate connection that Cannon won't let go but Lori continues & continues to fight it. She's his agent and he's an up and coming rock star so she refuses to let their relationship go beyond business since she doesn't want to ruin his or her career. This is a definitely MUST read! You'll LOVE it!
Even if you haven't read any of The Backup series, this book is a must read just because. The characters are real, the situations are real and the feelings are real. 2 people who needed each other without knowing it.
I love it! What a great love story definitely solidifies the saying "nothing that comes easy is worth having".
I love Cannon and Lori and I kept rooting for these two to get together. The connection they have is scorching and they way Cannon handles Lori had me swooning 😍. All heroes should be like Cannon...a good sweet guy who's a possessive alpha. In Liner Notes Lori is trying to be more reserved but the racy dynamic Lori comes out quite a bit and those are some of the best heated moments between her and Cannon. You have to read this book. It is filled with passion and drama. I swear it was nerve wracking waiting to see what would happen between these two... So Good!
Liner Notes Has it All! Small town rocker Older woman Client/Boss relationship Close family & friends and Trey Fkn Taylor!!
I absolutely loved the Back Up series & have read & re-read it multiple times, unfortunately for me I didn't really feel the connection between the 2 main characters in this book and at times I struggled to carry on turning the pages.
I'm really gutted as I love A.M Madden but this book just didn't do it for me 🙁
Every book in this series reminds me why it will always be a favorite. I love Cannon, he is written as an old soul, sweet and sexy, perfect for grounding Lori. While I did feel the end was rushed with some loose ends, seeing Trey again was an added bonus. Please let us read about his second chance at an HEA. I hope this isn't the end.
Lori Banzini has chased a few bad boy rockstars in her life so far and caught two. She lost them both. Knowing that she might get burned was a strong possibility but loving them was too hard to resist. I've wanted to see her find her true happiness and soulmate through every book in the Back Up Series. At one point, thought she really had but, sadly, neither relationship was meant to last.
Lori's past mistakes have effected her in such a profound way that she left the her beloved Jersey roots and friends for a fresh new start in LA. Being a band manager was something she loved and was good at until it all fell apart, and the band fell with it.
Now, the opportunity to be an agent and manage new talent, under the guidance of ice queen, Jen Baxter, Devil's Lair's tough as nails manager, is the chance she's been waiting for. Lori is out to sign the next big thing in the rock world, 23 year old, hot as hell musician, Cannon Davis. He has everything going for him- looks, a gorgeous voice, soulful songwriting talent and a swaggering confidence that the ladies are eating right up. Yes, Cannon's got sex appeal oozing out of every pore but he's also sweet, strong thoughtful and loves his family, which adds to his appeal. He is a shining star in the making and all she has to do is make it happen.
This man is a lethal combination (those swoony song lyrics!)and exactly why Lori should run and quickly from this hot as hell temptation. Being closely associated with a guy like this is asking for big time trouble. Lori already had one band go down because of her terrible personal choices so no way she can let her professional reputation take another, possibly fatal hit.
You know what they say- ' Resistance is futal'!!! Cannon comes on like gangbusters while another man, Oliver- older, powerful and relentless, has her locked in his sights as well. How's that going to play out???
This story shows 'balls to the wall' Lori's softer side fighting to emerge. I knew it was in there and wanted to see it. She wants a big, all consuming love like Leila and Jack have, but her heart is at stake! Cannon is slowly chipping away at that tough shell that she hides behind. He seems to sense her true self and likes what he sees..alot! No matter how Lori fights this attraction, it's like a wildfire that can't be doused. So...will she allow herself have this..well, maybe, if Oliver doesn't keep trying to ruin everything, that is!
That's enough of a tease... read and love Lori yourself as I just did. She's always been quite the fiesty Jersey girl- tough, sassy and strong with a caring heart of gold under that beautiful exterior. I looked forward to her story since the last page of Sold Out and of course, A.M. Madden has given me everything I wanted, as she always does. Sexy and with enough steam to power up your Kindle, paired with plenty of humor and heart. What a combo!
In case you're wondering, YES... Jack and Leila, Lori's bff and her hunky hubbie might make an appearance!!! Their beautiful love story was one of the sexiest (cue Jack right here..hmmm) and sweetest I've ever read so I was more than thrilled to see them here being a part of Lori's! Cannon might just give Jack some competition for the title of hottest rocker😉!
Well written, exciting, sexy and romantic along with some well played killer plot twists, the story of these two seemingly opposites had me reading until my eyes were burning! And that ending...wow... a very special moment which brought me to tears, good ones. Makes me hope more love is coming my way in the world of Devil's Lair.
I will suggest that reading all the books in the Back Up series would be both an amazing way to spend some lazy summer days and to discover a 'new to you' rockstar romance series you will never forget. This new one along with the rest will forever live in my favorites and I will say that 5 stars are nowhere near enough! RECOMMEND!
*An review copy was generously provided and happily received. This is my honest opinion of it.
Cannon is a younger rising rockstar when his new soon to be agent steps into his world and rocks it. He knows he can't have her, shouldn't even want her, but he can't help himself. And neither can Lori. But there are outside forces, people, who don't want them together. Will they keep Cannon and Lori apart?
I haven't read any of the previous Lair stories, but I found myself really liking and getting into this world A.M. Madden has created. Cannon especially, is an amazing character - sweet, sexy and freaking swoony af. Whew, if I could have my own Cannon, I would! There was definitely a lot of push and pull in their relationship, but it added to the story, kept it moving along, and their chemistry was absolutely electric. I will most certainly be on the lookout for more of this series.
ARC via Give Me Books Promotions for an honest review.
Once again AM Madden has me all excited about the Devils Lair rock band and their friends. Liner Notes is a stand-a-lone book within this world, and it is so great to catch up with the rockers and their stories that I fell in love with when I first got my Kindle App.
Once again we meet Jack Lair and his band, along with his wife Leila, the original back up singer for Devils Lair. This time they are the secondary characters, and it is Leila’s best friend, Lori Banzini who takes centre stage in this book, as an agent for LRV Media, and tasked with the job to sign a new act that the agency has been keeping an eye on. She works hard, parties hard and has an intensely unfortunate romantic history of two previous love affairs with the rockers she had been managing. This time, she’s moved States to start afresh in a new job, lucky to have been given another chance and is determined to make it work.
The new act, the intensely talented sexy and ‘younger’ singer/songwriter brings out the strongest reaction in her yet, but this time she’s determined to remain professional.
What she’s struggling to ignore though, is Cannon Davis’ equally intense looks in return. He refuses to be kept at a distance, especially when Lori’s eyes mirror his own feelings, and he’s young, enthusiastic and just plain determined!
I love AM Madden’s descriptive writing as she describes everything from photo shoots and recordings to radio interviews and the manipulations of Lori’s boss and Devil’s Lair manager as Lori and Cannon negotiate their way through the marketing minefield of the music industry, all while she tries to stay professional, and Cannon works his gorgeously romantic magnetism on her. The plot is like a slow burning fire that starts with a spark and continues to heat in intensity beneath the surface until it becomes a raging inferno. No one can see the smoulder, but it doesn’t mean the heat’s not there. And, holy hell, the scene where he finally breaks down Loris walls is as hot and heavy as hell. The atmospheric chemistry was so thick, you could chew on it. Seriously, it’s everything I want in my rocker romantic reads.
And, if you’re a lover of epilogues that are the sweetest icing on the cake, then this one will bring you to tears, it’s that beautiful, and unexpected. Rockers are my favourite trope, and A.M Madden rocked my soul with this book. 5 Stars.
Lori Banzini needed a change in her life and she thought moving from the east coast to the west coast was just the change she needed. After having two unsuccessful rockstar romances under belt, she is determined to not have another and to heed the warning from her new boss, Jen Baxter to not mix business with pleasure. The one thing she didn’t count on...Cannon Davis.
I have traveled along this journey that has been the Back-Up series since I first discovered AM Madden and it quickly became one of my all time favorite rockstar series. Jack Lair is just YUM! He’s my book husband and I don’t care what Leila says LOL! Anyways, along the ride I have always loved Lori and her take life by balls attitude and was excited to see her FINALLY get her happily ever after. To watch her grow throughout this book and finally figure out to let her true self shine is absolutely wonderful. She never knew what hit her with the likes of her sexy new client, Cannon Davis. He’s young, charismatic and charming AF. He reminds me so much of Jack Lair, I almost switched teams. (Not quite, but it was close). Oh, and my man may make an appearance or two ;)
Cannon was raised by a single mom and twin older sisters and quickly became the man of the house at an early age. He’s wise beyond his years and knows what he wants. And man, does he want Lori. These two have so much chemistry it explodes off the pages. More than anything though, I loved their easiness together. They just click. Liner Notes is a beautiful love story that has plenty of ups and downs, but in the end shows you have to fight for what you want and these two definitely come out on top.
Liner Notes is another fantastic story to come from the very talented A.M. Madden.
Lori Banzini is a good woman, hard worker, faithful and loving towards those she holds dear, Lori's only fault is choosing the wrong guys to fall in love with, causing her hurt and with no desire to enter into a new relationship. Cannon Davis is a good guy, with extraordinary talent as a composer and singer, he's also Lori's new protege. Will Cannon with his good looks and sweet personality be the man Lori needs to show her how good a relationship could be.
Bad boys in books are very attractive and good to read about, but sometimes you just need a guy with a heart of gold who will fight until the end for what he wants and who he wants. I absolutely LOVED Cannon, he understood Lori and accepted her just the way she was while little by little helping her understand her worth. Lori definitely gives Cannon a run for his money when it comes to their personal relationship, but fought to give him all opportunities available when it came to his career.
Madden has written a beautiful story full of heartfelt moments and two people who were made for each other. I enjoyed immensely the cameos by previous characters of this great series. Liner Notes show us that sometimes the best things in life appear when we least expect them, and other things that we see as an obstacle are really just excuses we give ourselves due to fear.
This book is part of a series, while you don't need to read the other books to understand this story, I recommend that you read the previous novels. I promise you won't regret it!
The Devil's Lair are my very favorite rockers, with Jack Lair leading the way for my favorite, so any book with Lair in it is automatically going to get a 5 star rating, because frankly, the brilliant A.M. Madden has already EARNED IT a long time back with Back-Up. Now she's written a sexy new rocker named Cannon, who is just coming on the scene with Lori Banzini, Leila Lair's best friend, becoming his agent. Now they have some chemistry, but there's some complications, mainly Lori herself. See, she's older, and convinced that she can't have anything romantically to do with musicians anymore. I won't tell you why, as it kind of gives spoilers away to more than one book. Not to mention, since she's starting this new career, she really wants to make a good impression, and working under the ball buster Jen, who I've never been crazy about, and well, it makes her more uptight. Cannon is in it to win though, so he's all about getting past her walls, plus that chemistry that I've already mentioned? Yeah, it's not going to be denied for long, so they do end up lighting the sheets on fire. And as he's starting to really get his name out there, you already know that drama is coming from that direction that will come in the form of big f-bomb worthy twists! Oh, and Lair help me, Jack & Leila make appearances so I'm so happy I could cry, because it's been a cool minute! Anyway, everyone needs to get their fingers a one clickin' as this spin off is totally worth it! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
I received this book with the understanding that I would leave a voluntary and honest review.
In this book we learn what has happened to Lori Banzini and we get Cannon Davis's story. Lori is trying to get over the mistakes in her past and has sworn off of bad boy rockers. She is now an agent for LRV Media (this is the same company that signed Devil's Lair & Cliffhangers). She is being told by the head of the company to get in and sign Cannon Davis before anyone else does. Lori thinks this will be no problem get in get him ready to sign and get out, to bad life is there to show her otherwise. Cannon has met with other companies but there is something about Lori that makes him want to go with her. Oh it's not just who she represents but her. But no matter how close he tries to get to the woman she has her walls and they are high. Will these two find that they just might have a HEA in their future or will the past keep them locked away forever?
This is another amazing hit by this author. We find that some of our favorite characters are back in this one, Jack and Leila. This story does have its ups and downs I really want to tell you about. Trust me I really want to tell you. However I don't want to ruin it for any other readers. I will say this book will have you unable to put it down after the first word and wanting to read it again when you are all done. You will enjoy it that much. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
This book was great and full of the angst, humor, love and heartbreak of a Madden book. I love her talent and her way to spin a story! I truly love her ability to include my favorite of her characters in these novels. I love the glimpses of past characters in her books.
I really like Lori and Cannon in this book. The chemistry from the first meeting was amazing. I enjoyed the interactions between them both. The anticipation was killing me! I will not ruin anyone’s chance to read this book with any giveaways about it.
Cannon is a great guy so very down to earth and not your typical rock star even when he makes it big thanks to Lori and his true talent. She is a great manager to him and her struggling to get past the things that happened to her in the past are huge parts of this book.
This novel made me like Lori a lot more than I did in the previous. I knew she was a good person but she always came off as such a hard a$@ that I couldn’t really figure out if I’d like her. Let me just say I loved her and her attitude all throughout the book.
This is a must read that you will not be able to put down! The taste of all the past characters gives all those longing for more Lairs a nice brush with the past and I love how it happens in a nice timeline with her other series.
I received a free copy of this book from the author.
Oh my gosh! I am so exited to tell you about Lori's book. She totally deserves to have a sweet sweet man as her HEA. I really thought A.M. (the author) would continue to put Lori through the ringer but let me tell you. She struggled enough with her inner thoughts in this novel to not get the HEA she deserved.
Update on Lori - she's moved from NJ to LA and is working for one of the biggest record labels in the industry. She'll be signing her first client in this book and his name in Cannon. Oh my gosh, is he a doll! Sounds pretty cheesy right?
Just the opposite. These two are great together. He totally calls her on her BS. She totally fits him like peanut butter and jelly. HA! Y'all didn't think I had it in me did ya? Seriously, they're like peas and carrots. Whatever analogy you want to use. They just fit.
She's a tad bit older. He doesn't care. She's his agent. He doesn't care. She's worried about what the higher ups will think. He still doesn't care. This man is breaking down all the barriers. Which is exactly what she needs!
Of course there can't be A Lair Novel without the Lairs! Jack and Laila offer their sound advice to both characters. It's really cool to see how their experience could possibly shape another. You'll just have to read and see. There's some surprises in here too. I'll never tell...you'll just need to read. Totally worth it and if you're a lover of the Lair family of characters you won't want to miss this book!!!
Lori’s job was to get Cannon with LRV Media before he hit the big time. She wasn’t worried about Cannon, but whether she could make him what he should be, she learnt the hard way don’t mix business with pleasure, and her weakness was sexy, alpha, rock stars like Cannon. Cannon knew he was in trouble when he saw Lori, he wasn’t sure what was drawing him to her, but it was instant. Although Lori seemed unaffected by him explaining about the label, he was too distracted, his dream could be coming true and all by the gorgeous redhead in front of him. Talking with her Leila, Lori knows she can’t face more heartache, while her friend sees it could be worth the risk, you can work with someone and love them, it didn’t work the last two times but it could this time and she won’t know unless she tries. Lori denies she’s in love with him, but Leila says yet. Cannon can’t get through to Lori and talking with his friend about how she’s fighting the attraction between them, and his friend tells him to fight back and fight harder and Cannon knows that’s what he has to do because he doesn’t see a life without Lori.
Reading Liner Notes was like coming home! I love Lori and Cannon’s story and the way it flowed through the pages. A.M. Madden has this ability to draw me in to the book and sucker punch me in the gut with all the emotions she writes with and the wonderful characters she brings to life. Having some of our old favourites in this book is like the icing on the cake.
We first met Lori through the Back Up Series and have watched her grow right through to Liner Notes. Finding herself and what she needs to make her life complete and happy has been a very wonderful and sometimes harrowing experience for her. Now Cannon is someone you need to meet. Swoon worthy and level headed, sexy as sin with a voice to match, you will be happily drawn into his magnetic hold.
A.M. Madden has once again played the notes that have struck a chord in the heart. Liner Notes is a book you can visualise and really connect with and one that I recommend you read. Beautifully written, deeply emotional, heartfelt and uplifting.
Cannon Davis is a down to earth musician all he wants to do is play his music simple as that.
That is until he receives a phone call from an agent Lori Banzini, yes he has heard it all before but will she be any different, when Lori hears Cannon play she knows she needs to sign him asap but what she didn't expect is the man himself his laid back hot as hell and one talented musician.
The attraction between the two of them is there from the start Cannon has no shame in making his feelings know. But Lori is no push over she has been here before two failed relationships with musicians she ain't going down that road again, but Cannon wants to prove her wrong he will fight for what he wants and that is her, she sure does give him a run for his money shes a feisty redhead after all but he gives it right back, if you want something that bad you fight for what you want will they make it you will have to read it to find out .
What happens when you pair an up and coming Rockstar with a manager who has fallen for and lost two previous loves a lot like him? This slow burn romance was everything I hoped it would be!
Cannon and Lori are both dealing with issues (who isn't) that have them battling themselves as much as their taboo attraction to one another. Trying to stay professional is all Lori wants to do, but the pull Cannon has on her proves too much any number of times no matter how they both fight it.
This was a really wonderful, well fleshed-out story about two people the reader can really relate to and their inevitable romance. I totally enjoyed following their journey to love! It's not easy, but it's worth it!
**This story is a standalone but part of a much larger Rockstar romance universe. I read it alone but will be going back for the rest!**
I have given up trying to chose a favorite A M Madden book! With each new book she writes I fall in love all over again. This book was no different. Lori and Cannon ahhhh those two are fire !!! With each and every page turn my heart was with them, willing them to follow their hearts. I felt them , I felt their struggles . I felt their passion . A M Madden knows how to make you feel like you are in the room , you are with them. She writes relatable , sexy and strong characters . I can see Lori struggling with her feelings while trying to be what she thinks everyone wants her to be .I could hear Cannon when he played in the bar, I could picture myself in the Irish Bar having a pint. This book is pure magic. The kind of magic Mrs. Madden can only write. Go get this book and read it over and over again !!!
What a beautiful love story for the "Lair Family of Friends"! We were first introduced to Lori in the Back Up series. She is now about to become the agent for Cannon, a musician on the brink of stardom. Cannon is young and inexperienced but he has a heart of gold and talent beyond belief. He also has eyes for Lori. Lori has been down this road before and gotten burned in the process. She is resigned to not mix business and relationships. The battle lines have been drawn and who will win out in the end, the head or the heart. I felt these characters drew you in and had you routing for them from the very beginning. It was also like coming home with the appearance of a few of the characters from the original stories. This story has become another reason to be a "Lair Lover"! Don't resist the call.
Hot young singer (sex god) do I need to say more? Yes Yes I do.. He’s a hot musician with the ability to not whore around , once he gives his heart ...he gives his all..
And he gives his heart to lori his agent .. she’s older And beautiful And already been their too many times before ... With different musicians.. Will she ever truly believe that cannon just wants her?
