The five include the current governor, a young middle school teacher, a retired maintenance man, a woman who has since left the area, and the killer himself, whose pending execution makes Izzy's assignment urgent. The secrets these witnesses have been keeping will change Izzy's life forever and challenge the journalistic principles that she holds so dear, possibly forcing her to reveal her own connection to the massacre.

Five Voices was an amazing book to read, probably the best thing I've read in the last decade. Not only is the writing style engaging, but it is also truly a suspenseful page-turner! The characters are perfectly well developed, yet readers learn surprising (even shocking) things about them throughout the entire book. This book drew me in completely, I could visually picture all of the scenes so vividly. I can't wait to read Kevin's next work! Read this book - like a good (great) book, I can't put this story back... it lingers!
