Not at all convincing book. Very poorly written. I was wondering for what users gave this high rating. Then I realised it must be by the followers of Bawa and Art of Living.
Although, I appreciate the work done by Bawa and his talks but certainly not in this book.
Why It's not the book that everyone should read atleat once in a life time.I wish i can read it in my school days but this is for all the students who are always to learn something. This is for all age persons, who always on the urge of learning something valuable. This will definitely inspire the feeling of learning or effective learning in fact. This is so inspirational that i read it in a day!!!.By reading this book, you can better understand the hidden facts of your body. This explain about our body, brain and how learning begins and many more things like that. This is very facinating and motivational. If u want to rediscover your love for knowledge and learning, you should or must read this book.Enjoy the journey May be of your own.
This is a great book that takes a holistic approach to studying. Has a lot of great common sense and unconventional advice that’s really effective. It’s also one of the simplest introductions to a healthy lifestyle that doesn’t come off as preachy or complicated.
Did not find this book useful as it was mainly concerned with the art of living programme and meditation. The only new technique shown was mind mapping and the only useful thing I learned was that I should aim for an education and not a degree.
As the name specifies, smart ways to learn Only First 8 chapters are according to the name of book, there are 24 chapter total and after 8th chapter we just kept on waiting for the more ways to learn.
If there were only first 8 chapters in the book, i would have given this book 5 star rating, as I have simply bought this book to learn the ways to learn.
If you are reading this book for learning smart techniques only, you can go through first 8 chapters, if you are reading this book only for reading purpose then you can go ahead.
The book Ready Study Go! by Khurshed Batliwala and Dinesh Ghodke is one of the gems that will surprise you at regular intervals! Every other page that you choose to read will have something that will amaze you. The book not only renders valuable insights about how to study and get good grades but also guides you towards living an exceptional life! The tips and insights are implementable and easy to follow.
Honestly, I attended the book launch and gifted the book to all my students but did not read it myself considering it is just about studying. Now that I have read it, I felt like I should have picked it up earlier as the book added so much value to my life. Like I said, it is not just about studying and getting good grades, it is about your overall development. Of course, it definitely has chapters that focus on how you can excel in your studies, master subjects that you hate, last minute study practices and so on.
The book starts with discussing the seven levels of our existence! Yes, you read that right! Now, you may think why a book about studying should start with something so deep and spiritual, it is because if even one of your levels, for example, if your ‘mind’ is upset, you cannot concentrate on your studies or anything for that matter. So, it starts with the core and helps you solve the problem from the root. The book has topics that will stun you and make you ponder. The chapters like Using The Brain, But I hate Math, A Tale of Two Teachers, Mind Mapping, Wealth Rules, Suicide Is Not An Option, No Job So What among others will leave you in awe! You will rightly gain so much about how your brain works and learn how to study and do your everyday things more effectively. Full Review: https://ideasthroughwords.com/book-re...
Started off very well but rambled into mind mapping and radial thinking. I found this part of the book to be a little sluggish. Had some good chapters on surya namaskar and other exercises. The chapter on relationships was good as well. Overall an average read.
A perfect book to gift to a high school student. Habits discussed in this book will help them to develop a very powerful attitude towards learning. It is divided into chapters with appropriate length full of examples to keep you interested. Can be easily completed within a week.
Ready Study Go!! is a blend of humor, laughter, good study and yoga. It's expressed in a friendly manner. Above all it's treasury of many secrets to lead successful life.
Title: Ready, Study, Go!: Smart Ways to Learn by Khurshed Batliwala
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐ (3/5)
Review:
"Ready, Study, Go!: Smart Ways to Learn" by Khurshed Batliwala offers a comprehensive guide to effective learning techniques, but falls short of delivering truly groundbreaking insights. While the book contains some useful tips and strategies, its approach lacks originality and depth, leaving readers wanting more.
Practical Tips: One of the strengths of "Ready, Study, Go!" is its practical advice on how to improve study habits and maximize learning potential. Batliwala offers a variety of tips and techniques, from time management strategies to memory enhancement exercises, that can be applied to various learning situations. These tips are presented in a straightforward and easy-to-understand manner, making them accessible to readers of all ages and backgrounds.
Lack of Originality: However, despite its practicality, "Ready, Study, Go!" ultimately suffers from a lack of originality. Many of the techniques and concepts presented in the book are not new or groundbreaking, but rather common knowledge among students and educators. While Batliwala does a commendable job of compiling and organizing this information, the book fails to offer any truly innovative insights or approaches to learning.
Comparative Analysis: In comparison to its contemporaries in the self-help and educational genre, such as "Make It Stick" by Peter C. Brown and "The Power of Habit" by Charles Duhigg, "Ready, Study, Go!" falls short in terms of depth and substance. While Brown and Duhigg offer in-depth analyses of the science behind learning and habit formation, Batliwala's book feels surface-level and lacking in scholarly rigor. Additionally, the anecdotal nature of "Ready, Study, Go!" may not appeal to readers seeking evidence-based strategies backed by research.
Conclusion: In conclusion, "Ready, Study, Go!: Smart Ways to Learn" by Khurshed Batliwala provides some practical tips for improving study habits and learning efficiency, but ultimately lacks originality and depth. While the book may be helpful for readers seeking basic guidance on how to study more effectively, it may disappoint those looking for more innovative or evidence-based approaches to learning. Overall, "Ready, Study, Go!" is a decent introduction to the topic of study skills, but falls short of delivering truly transformative insights.
Title: Ready, Study, Go Author: @khurshedbatliwala @dineshghodke Publishers: @harpercollinsin (2016) Genre: Self Help Pages: 216 Choice of content: 5/5 Lexicon: 4/5 Aesthetically: 4/5 All of us have one day or the other faced exam blues, became professional writers right in the examination hall, thought about writing a song instead of solving the math practicals, had a hard time making a routine and if made, following it, dealt with extreme self doubt or thought about committing a heinous crime or self destruction after facing a failure. This book has a solution for all of it. Chapters like But I hate math, Using the brain, emergency studying, my inward journey and 20 more alike will strike you so hard that you’ll hook through them till the end and by the time you conclude, you’ll be highly motivated and have a tactic to solve any problem you face as far as studies are concerned. They’ve even shared meditation techniques, physical exercises and even a scientific bio rhythmic timetable, all backed by scientific research to enhance productivity in the simplest way possible along with numerous illustrations and a number of incidents they’ve witnessed and faced. The authors have been extremely honest with the words, they didn’t shy away from sharing their failures and how they coped with them. The book is written in a very conversation like manner, where you feel like listening to the author. If you are a student, it’s a must read for you. You won’t regret it at all.
This book is a journey into the art of living, working, and studying. Easy to read and connect with reality. The book sofar is so engaging, edutaining as well. quoting from page 127, It would be a worst of time for the ones with stars in their eyes, to get a job, but if everything fail, then secure one. :)
Me again ( RANA ), since I started learning more about the food supplements I am taking ( DXN) how you can actually start selling directly to other customers who are looking for health and financial investment during this unpredictable life cycles. Good for them. I am so looking forward to finishing reading and seeing the outcome. Oh I might share few too. :) stay tuned.

I immensely benefitted from this book, as being from a family where told to just Study and score marks rather how to, or how to gain interests on the subjects. The author quoted many great incidents, most of them are life learning lessons for me. (such as a great Professor thinks that he is responsible for any of his students not turning up to his class due to lack of interest in his subject, Leadership moments/qualities of Author's Guru, selfless services of many volunteers and many more)
In this book you'll get clear idea of how our brain works especially in study hours. Khurshed sir has given an insight of mind mapping and how it works in addition he has also mentioned some food items and exercises to help us regulate our brain daily. This books also gives us valuable information about importance of sleep , food and exercise. All around it's a good book not only for students of all kind but also for day to day working people to lead a healthy life.

It's actually pretty informative not in detail but gives a jist of all important factors and methods to study and how to do it right. If you're someone who needs to study but are procrastinating or in general are a student and are facing troubles in subjects, you should give it a read. It definitely got me out of my slump. But yes it keeps promoting Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and their programs which can get annoying because of repetitive mentioning once in every three chapters.
The title of the book and the topics are matching only at fewer areas. It was written very light yet good to read. I was expecting much more brilliance and depth from Bawa but it was so straight forward and stick to only the concepts shown in their videos and teachings, not more than that. But worth to read.
At first it talked about some really interesting stuffs about the mechanism of human's brain and the secret to live a positive life. But then it just went south, I cannot follow the logic anymore. Why does he insist on the relativeness of being wealthy and the ability to learn? And does learning has anything to do with charity? This seems more like a memo or a biography to me.
Insightful, but nothing more what I would get from videos on the internet. Not an absolute waste of time though. Could serve the purpose for someone who hasn't done the research yet. Great for students within the teenage group, who I feel are the targeted audience, so the book serves it's purpose.
An amazing book to know how to study or learn more effectively. The book covers almost all the topics required for me to improve my learning capability. It gave a new dimension of learning to me. I enjoyed reading the book as it is full of stories which actually happened.
Irony is you'll have to drag yourself through this book when it teaches how anything and everything is interesting and it's your teacher's fault if you aren't interested enough in the subject 😂 I totally miss the point after first few chapters.
A good book to learn about the process of learning. Mind mapping is a useful technique explained in this book. Most of the things are explained with the help of real-time problems and solutions from the author's life.
Not a great book!!! In this book authour not tell you lot of about study.Instead he tell you about your health, mind mapping, and how to take care of your health and so much useless things. I wasted my time!!!
Its an advertisement book of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. There are a few good ideas but not unique in its sense e.g. Meditation, mind map etc. Title and subtitle are misleading. It is more about authors experiences than the 'ways to learn'.
You should Read This Book Definitely Who Are Students and They Want Good Marks And Knowledge I didn't Gave 5 Star Because In This book Some Topics Are Added Which Is Not So Important And The Authors Didn't Gave Example To Explain How it works I Know That In Some Chapter He Gave But Not In all
