Dangerous Games is book three in the Dangerous Beauty series by J.T. Geissinger. This book! This series! What a crazy roller coaster ride it’s been. This is the thrilling conclusion to Eva and Naz’s story, and thrilling it most definitely is!

This book starts up immediately where book two left off. Dimitri has found out where Eva and Naz were hiding and has come for her. He’s not alone, he has his entourage of thugs willing to do whatever it takes to force Eva to leave.

We have come to know Eva as a woman forced to suffer endless abuse over the past seven years while she was with Dimitri. In the time she has been free, she has finally learned what real love is with Naz. He has filled her heart with a love so big, so wonderful. Knowing such a love exists has made her even stronger. She finally realizes that no matter how far she runs from Dimitri, he will keep coming for her. She has to end this once and for all. She has to end Dimitri.

Naz is frantic with the need to save Eva. But he is not able to go himself. He is forced to once again trust the elusive Killian to go after her. Side note here, I loved Killian. He’s mysterious, sexy, and so funny. I don’t know if J.T. has any plans to let him have his own story sometime in the future but I would so enjoy it if she did.

This book might be the darkest of the three. We go back and forth between what is happening with Eva and Dimitri and what is happening with Naz and Killian. Some parts were a bit hard to read but none of it was too graphic. Through everything, though, Eva was so strong. She kept her wits about her and was always thinking ahead to how she could save herself. She really was her own true hero.

This is gripping, fast paced, and full of suspense. But through everything, we don’t lose sight of the love that exists between Eva and Naz. Of the little corner of light in Eva’s heart that has to sustain her through all the darkness of Dimitri. We get a wonderful epilogue that wraps everything up and leaves you with a happy heart. If you haven’t started this series yet and were waiting for all three books to be available, now is the time to get started. This series will take you on a ride you won’t soon forget. And Eva and Naz are two characters that will live in your heart and mind for a long time to come.

Book 3 of the Trilogy, a Romantic Suspense series with some twists, turns and action along the way.

I was so very happy "finally" to get the oppportunity to read the conclusion to this fast paced and extremely absorbing trilogy from J.T. Geissinger.... but....oh my....this one was a lot darker and definitely way more angsty than the other two books of the trilogy.....but YES.... we finally get to see Dimitri.... get his "just deserts".....he was such a sick, evil and cruel b*stard (and I do not say that lightly)......this book actually gave me goosebumps!!!
This part of the story was essentially so much more about Eva than the other two installments and in this....she needed her inner strength alone....just to survive!!! She is also fierce.
I LOVED the ending and we also got a sweet epilogue that made me think that "maybe".... there might be a book coming for Killian....in the future......and that would definitely be a "very" good thing indeed!!!!.....

Great writing from this author and I really did enjoy this fast paced and twisty romantic suspense series....I think that I read each book in record time....they were really not the sort of reads that you put down!!!! I was glued to my kindle!!!!

Talk about your epic conclusions! This book was EVERYTHING.

I am not a trilogy reader. I tend to grow bored with the characters or find that one or two of the three books are stretched out fillers. I'm a picky a-hole is basically what I'm trying to tell you here. So I don't tend to gravitate towards trilogies much these days. But when it comes to JT Geissinger's books, we have an unspoken rule; she writes it, I read it. Period. But let me now tell you, if ever there was a story that was MEANT to be a trilogy, this was it. Each book packs its own punch and reveals a new layer, and I can't imagine it having the same effect had it been written as one standalone.

I was equally anticipating and dreading the conclusion to Naz and Eva's story. It's rare where the conclusion lives up to the promise of the story for me. But this one not only lived up to it, it exceeded any and all expectations that I had. It was EPIC.

What I love about Eva's character is that she's a survivor through and through. She's been brutalized at the hands of an evil man for over 7 years, but she didn't let that define her. She's no one's victim. She's fierce and a warrior and this book just proved how much. There is nothing that I love more than a fierce heroine that doesn't need a knight in shining armor to ride in to save the day. This was very much Eva's book and I LOVED that.

Everything comes to a head here when Eva ends up back in the clutches of Dmitri, the man she's tried to outrun for too long. She knows that she'll do anything to protect the man she loves, even if it means that walking right back into the lion's den. This book proved just how much of a survivor Eva is. It also showed that even after everything that she's been through, it didn't change her heart. Geissinger throws you right into the deep end without sparing a detail. You get to experience the pain, darkness and evil right along with her.

While Eva is going through hell, Naz is going through his own. I don't want to tell you much here and spoil anything, but I will say that while the romance is mostly predominant in book 2, it's put on a bit of a back burner here. Eva's survival and journey takes center stage and I loved that. There's still plenty of emotional and romantic elements here, it's just not the front runner.

This was a heart pounding, action packed conclusion that was an absolute page turner!! The perfect conclusion to an addictive trilogy that I loved from beginning to finish. I am also willing to beg on my knees for a book for Killian because OMG!!!! KILLIAN. GAH. This man and enigma steals the show with his every small appearance. I NEED his story. NEED IT DESPERATELY.

This whole series has been like one big action movie that has had my heart pounding the whole way through. I can't see anyone getting bored.

On top of that action was such a beautiful love story. Naz far exceeded what I thought we were going to get from him. When he falls, he falls hard. He is exactly what Eva deserves after years of being held prisoner with that monster.

We got to see some of what that monster was capable of in this book and let me tell you, it was not easy to read. I wanted to annihilate Demetri. I wanted to hurt him back as badly as he hurts women and I think I would have been capable of it if I was faced with a monster like him. I won't call him a man. He doesn't deserve that title.

Killian was such a good surprise. I loved his character. I have my fingers crossed on both hands that the author will write a story for Killian.

Awesome series!

I actually liked the banter between Killian and Naz... (imagine that!) more than I liked the interactions surrounding Evalina/Eva... *shrugs*

it all seemed a bit I dunno... not something I could be immersed with...go figure...

anyhow, JT Geissinger is my 1-click author, her writing is one of the most thrilling and exciting experiences I have ever been apart of...so, there...

Thank you, Next! ⭐️

What do you call that feeling when you pick your fav author, get excited for a series of books that spiked your interest while reading the previous one, finish the first one - get even more excited the pissed off it ends in a cliffhanger, wait patiently a few months for the second one and then another few months for the final piece of the puzzle, only to realize it wasn’t at all what you’ve expected? 😔🤔

Ok, I’ll admit it out loud. I was slightly disappointed. I feel like I had such high hopes for this series, enjoyed the first book a lot, but then, from the second one, the real drama started. Drama is the term I use to express all those traits that erase the pink in my fairy tales and I really need that pink! I need happiness, giddiness, butterflies in my stomach, not the angst, the nail chewing, the fear and all that cringing.

I haven’t highlighted anything from this one. Not a single line. There’s nothing worth remembering, except for that fear I felt all the time it took me reading it. It broke my heart in way too many pieces and my lovely J.T Geissinger didn’t manage to put it back together. 😢 Too much brutality. Too much suffering. Too much pain. Too much bad and so little good in this story.

There is, however, a great part: Killian! ❤️ This amazing side character, a mysterious, funny charming, i-hope-he-gets-his-own-series-ASAP man! He’s to be remembered and worshiped and as others have said it before me, we need to start a petition for Ms. Geissinger to tell us his story. 🙏🏻

It would be an absolute honor to have you as my guest on my blog too. Stop by anytime you want :)

Book 1 was a great start (4 stars), it was very promising, indeed. But sadly, things start to go downhill in Book 2 (3 stars) and Book 3 is the worst; it is like a joke - a bad joke, so 2 stars it is!

Actually, I was so pissed at the end of Book 2 that I was reluctant to read Book 3. My dear friend Sanzida and I have been buddy-reading this trilogy and my awesome friend saw my dilemma and made things easier for me, reading Book 3 first and telling me all the torturous parts beforehand, making sure that they are the things I could deal with. After her great summary, I was ready for the book, knowing what I would read.

My review for all 3 books is here:

I loved this book more than the previous ones.

Romantic wise I would say it’s a little lacking as this book concentrates more own adventure and action up to 75 %.
Uff the things Eva had to suffer on Dimitri’s hands were horrible! But I’m glad she got her happy ending with the man she loves more than anything.
Killian and Naz’s bromance was the highlight of the book! God.. I loved their banter.

Safe and recommended.

What an absolutely thrilling ending to this trilogy!

This picks up right where book 2 ends. Eva is caught up in a nightmare of epic proportions and this story races by at breakneck speed as Dimitri makes his move.

’We can try to bury the past, but some corpses refuse to lie quietly in their graves.’

description

There is so much angst and despair, but through it all, Eva rises to the challenge to become one of the strongest heroines I think I’ve ever read. She faces headon all that is thrown at her and holds fast to her faith and with it her need for vengeance.

’And oh, what a dangerous game I’m playing. What a dark, dangerous game.’

While this couple are separated through the majority of this book, there is never a doubt that you’re still reading a romance. It’s in all the thoughts and deep need these characters reflect upon even as their world is turned upside down. Naz is battling his failures as well as those around him who hold him constrained to what his body requires. He remains a strong hero with his only thought being to get to Eva. To protect, to cherish, to keep her safe.

description

There is a lot of villain time here and with it is some dark moments that may have you flinching. We’ve had a lot of lighthearted moments throughout this journey, and we still have them here, but when Dimitri is in the scene things always take a drastic downturn. This author conveys his evil throughout every word, every move and every flicker of his eyes.

This abounds with secondary characters that enrich the story, adding another level to the overall plot. So much happens that it’s impossible to predict how this will all end. And as if this author is taunting us with all his mysterious ways, Ms. Geissinger leaves even more bread crumbs as to who and what Killian really is. We must ensure that she continue his story in the future or furiously rebel if she chooses not to!

description

The previous two books in the series must be read prior to this, but at least you’ll have them all out there in print, ready to go for your continued pleasure. It’s been agony waiting! If you enjoy romantic suspense and thrillers with action that will have you nibbling every fingernail and sitting on the edge of your seat, you’re going to love this series!

"Take the blinders from your eyes, Evalina. Mice don't survive in lions dens. Only lions do."

Dimitri was actually an interesting villain. Eva and Naz were apart for 99% of the book, which I'm not complaining about bc as you know, I hate them together. Again, Naz's POVs were completely useless here. If I'm being real, I was only here for my main man Killian.

"You spied on the Germans? How?"
"I'm a spy, that's how."

Finally the ending to Naz and Eva's story. Dimitri is truly nasty, mean, and evil. Loved where Eva's help came from especially after all she endures at Dimitri's hand, but it took too long for her to be free. Great ending and epilogue to their story, even if it did take three books to get there.

Who the heck is Killian really? Is he going to get a HEA? And he's got a ...what..

What a crazy roller coaster ride! I adored Naz and Eva and was rooting for them right from the start. Even if they were apart most of the book I still enjoyed this action packed conclusion. Eva was feisty and everything I love in a female character. Besides these two though, the side characters in the author's books always have me intrigued and desperate for more. As I had already read Cruel Paradise book 2 of the Beautifully Cruel series before this series, I totally fell back under the spell of secondary character Killian Black. 😏❣️

Do you know how long its been since I've completed an entire trilogy? It's been awhile. Remember back in 2105 when literally everything was a BDSM trilogy? Anyways...

I really enjoyed this. JTG is becoming one of my favorite authors because she lets her characters spend quality time together and writes enough tender moments that make the romance 100% believable. I can't tell you how many books i've read where the MC's only fuck and thats it. JTG knows the importance of both her MC's holding hands/hugging/heated looks. It just adds so much depth to their connection. I know i'm always going to get a good love story from her books.

Both of the MC's were amazing. Y'all know i love a strong heroine and this gal was STRONG. She was her own white knight and we stan those kind of contemporary female characters.

Some things that made this not a 5 star triology:
- There werent that many sex scenes and almost all of them involved one or both MC's fatally injured.
I dont think its particular sexy when the MC's are going at it but one of them is in a hospital bed and bruised up
- I dont think the second book was necessary.
-The third book was so brutal and the heroine was getting beaten up for about 80% of it. Took away from the story and just turned into horror porn.

Safety:
No cheating, no OW drama
OM drama; OM kisses heroine causing H to be very jealous.
Heroine was raped and beaten for 7 years by villain so the third book has a lot of physical violence and threats of rape.
Slight separation; the hero is trying to find and save the heroine on multiple occasions.

Dangerous Games by J. T. Geissinger is book Three in the Dangerous Beauty Series. This continues the story of Nasir 'Naz' and Evalina 'Eva', so you really should read the first book 'Dangerous Beauty' and the second book 'Dangerous Desires' first to fully enjoy this one. This book starts where we left off in the previous book. Dimitri is hot on finding Eva which sets the tone for this book of Naz having to send Killian to go forth to get her back since he isn't able too.
This has been a very exciting read. My heart has broken for Eva and what she has had to go through. This book is not for the faint of heart with her abuse but it warms with the love she finds.

I liked this series, It was a good conclusion but I am not going to lie I expected more. I wish the heroine got more action and actually kicked butt. It seemed that she had a lot of fighting words but I genuinely don't think she would have figured out how to beat the villain had not other characters intervened.

Overall it was an average conclusion, I just felt like I needed more !

In this, the conclusion to Eva & Naz's journey, Eva turns up the dial on her fierceness, making me in awe of her even more. She knows she has to be tough if she's to survive what Dimitri has in store for her. And she has to do it all without her beloved Naz. Yes, they're separated for a lot of Dangerous Games, and it's awful, but it does really give the reader a chance to get to know Eva even better. And she shines, she is so amazing here and I loved every single second of her being the fierce badass woman she is.

Dangerous Games - Teaser 1 AN.jpg

Meanwhile Naz is doing his best to cope without Eva, but he's plotting and planning how best to get back to her, with more than a little help from the oh so mysterious and awesome Killian. On a side note, can I just say that I need Killian's story now? He's so mysterious and so intriguing. I just know he's got a serious backstory and I'm really hoping it's next. But back to Naz, let's just say he doesn't do well apart from his love. But when they come together, it's epic and I am so glad they got their happily ever after. If ever a couple deserved one, it's Naz and Eva because their story, especially this conclusion, is dark and intense and suspenseful. I really think that J.T. Geissinger's writing got even better in this trilogy. So glad Barney (that's how I'll always think of him since the days with the Bad Habit crew) found the love of his life and she is the perfect match for him. Ooooh and there was a cameo of Nico by way of Naz's little mention and a little honorary name in the epilogue. If J.T. were to write a reunion story between the boys and Naz, I'd be the first one to read!

Loved the darkness in this mafia book. Really liked Eva. Naz is great. But Killian wins ALL categories 🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️

Killian is so great at being the glue in this book. I actually enjoy Eva and Naz as a couple, when they are not having the insulting banter. Which gets old to read. This book has them as a normal loving couple. Finally 🤣

Did I mention Killian is the hottest and the MVP? 🔥

Not the best trilogy ever:
- couple banter was weird and cheesy as hell
- this book took a waaay darker turn than I would've liked
- the couple doesn't get reunited until the very end
- a random ass character pops up and saves a day even though he never showed up in the previous books?? So many unresolved questions istg

BUT this just goes to show just how much JTG has improved in her craft. Her latest works in the Queens & Monsters series are my absolute favorite and I'm glad she has found her voice (and better humor) in Carnal Urges and Brutal Vows, especially.

Can't wait to see what else she comes up next. I'm also here dying to get my hands on Liars Like Us ASAP 😭

Dangerous Games was action packed and had me at the edge of my seat anxious to see what happened next. I adored it. Naz and Eva's journey wasn't easy but their ending was certainly fitting. It was at times tension filled and other times sweet and sexy. I definitely recommend this trilogy.

Finally the conclusion to Naz and Eva’s story. What a ride this has been. This story has it all, suspense, love, mafia, some dark times.
The banter between Naz and Eva was hilarious and this author did a good job of injecting humour in what was at times, a hard read. What Eva has dealt with is nothing short of a miracle and who wouldn’t fall in love with Naz. (And Killian!)
His twin Liam has his own story in beautifully Cruel (which I have already read, so will have to go do a re read of him now I am intrigued)

WOW. How Eva came through this ordeal without PTSD I have no idea! She is an incredibly strong woman. I did struggle with a few threads that I felt were left dangling. Also, there was so much trauma, I would like to have seen them experience a bit more happiness. While the epilogue was great, I wanted more. I love this writer and did enjoy the journey of Naz and Eva as a whole.

••••••••

REVIEW: DANGEROUS GAMES is the third and final instalment in JT Geissinger’s contemporary, adult DANGEROUS BEAUTY dark, romantic suspense trilogy focusing on former Special Ops military man and security specialist Nasir ‘Naz’ Mansouri, and Evalina ‘Eva’ Ivanova. DANGEROUS GAMES should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up immediately after the events and cliff-hanger of book two Dangerous Desires. The Dangerous Beauty series is a spin-off from the author’s BAD HABIT series. You do not have to have read the previous series to follow the current time line.

WARNING: DANGEROUS GAMES contains scenes of obsession, sexual cruelty, slavery, abuse and torture, and may not be suitable for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Naz and Eva) DANGEROUS GAMES picks up immediately after the events of book two Dangerous Desires wherein Eva’s past has found our couple, leaving Naz wounded and dying, and our heroine about to face the atrocities of a man who believes Eva is fair game. Knowing what awaits her future, Eva battles between head and heart believing her lover is dead, and her ‘master’ is about to destroy what’s left of her world.

Naz Mansouri is dead, for all intents and purposes, but staying under the radar means having the benefit of no one looking for him as he hunts for Eva Ivanova. Along with Naz’s boss Connor and his wife Tabby (Wicked Sexy –Wicked Games), and Killian, a man with the ability to ferret our information and the whereabouts of our story line couple, Naz begins to unravel the clues, clues that will lead to the woman he loves.

DANGEROUS GAMES is a suspenseful story of power and control; of sexual obsession, ownership and cruelty; emotional and physical abuse; retribution and love. JT Geissinger pulls the reader into an energetic, heart breaking, raw and gritty story of entitlement and delusion with a strong heroine who endures more than anyone could have ever imagined.

This book was absolutely fantastic. I NEEDED to know what happened with Eva and Naz so badly, I blew off my other books to finish this.

This book picked up right were the last one did - with Dimitri finding her and taking her back, and her thinking Naz was dead (which we all knew that he was going to survive). During her time with Dimitri, she faced more horrors, and she thought that Naz was dead and the heartbreak after it.

Loved this book.
Really exciting.
Picks up where book 2 ended.
Amazing strong heroine.
Possible triggers due to violence.
The author keeps you guessing how they will get their HEA, who is on whose side and who the heroine can trust.
Even though the reader is unsure how far the enemy threat will go with the heroine, sex is threatened but doesn't happen.
No intimate scenes other than the Hero and heroine.
HEA.
Epilogue.
I would love a book on Killian.
