A nice book on planning for retirement. The language is easy to understand and a good book for someone who is interested in personal finance.
For someone who is in his 30s, retirement seems like a far fetched call and it's difficult to envision life beyond 60. This book specially addresses the issue of being self sufficient and planning for retirement keeping longevity in mind.
Decent read 3.5/5

Good book for all advice at one place. Some items seem dated, so one should be conversant with the current rules.

Good for beginners in financial mgmt

This book is good for beginners in financial management. Almost like a primer but in simple words. I felt that the book that PV wrote in collaboration with Pattu was much better, frankly as it had working calculators, lots of useful links and so on. Hence shaving off one star from this, and acknowledging the beauty of the other book (also that it had quite similar message and content and hence this lost my novelty star).

A vert structured approach to retirement

Really loved reading it, very relatable, crisply written. Helps you put a framework and structure to better manage the corpus you painstakingly generate over the years.
The use of case studies helps reinforce the concepts very well and makes them stick.
Highly recommended for most ppl in their accumulation phase.

This is more of a collection of thoughts, rather than a proper books like Book. Author has written just the way he talks on his youtube channel, subramoney.
But the thing that i liked is, there are so many topics covered related to retirement, which are not usually covered anywhere else in the indian context. Really liked the book in this respect.

This is a well written book about a subject that we seldom prepare for in real life.

No one really thinks about life about retirement, once children gets married of and source of income dries off.

This books gives ample examples and ways of investing to generate income.

Its written in a lucid manner and easy to read.

Recommend this to everyone.
