In Love and War, and the Rise and Fall of a Crime God, we fell in love with Blaze and Phantom. We always wondered what their kids would be like when they grew up. Well, the wait is over, and these two are ready to tell their story.
Zayna “Spark” Hoover is used to the fast and crazy life. Acting just like her father, Blaze, she is used to being the center of attention. However, going to college was the total opposite for her. Oooooommmmmmmmgggggoooddddness!!!
I swear I will never get tired of reading about a Hoover or Phantom....but to be a hundred percent on point with this review......i wasn't expecting that at all...... It crazy cause normally the spins off don't be as exciting but Latoya manages to pull it off EVERY time... When I say I dan near died laughing I'm really not bullspitting.... I was eating and almost choked laughing......it was hilarious... The only thing I didn't like was close to end Spark character started to seem like the witch nobody likes...... the one that traps a figga and think that a baby will keep him.... Yeahhhhh didn't like that.... Had so much higher hopes for her and it was pretty much need met until that point... And don't blame me for the words u don't know I'm saying cause I cant cuss in a review.....they deny that hit quick... So figure it out!!!!!!!

Hilarious and Great Read
This book is well written, very entertaining, and hilarious. Spark was truly the exact replica of her father Blaze. She is trying to fit in with her other classmates but realize she can not help who she is or the family she came from. Darryl is his father Phantom twin. However he accepts who he is and where he came from and don't make excuses for it. The way Spark and Darryl came together was funny. Both saw they were a lot alike in many ways. However neither one see the jealousy and envy of their peers. Spark need to keep a eye on her trifling roommate Lena. Lena seems to take Spark as a joke not knowing she is literally playing with fire. Darryl found himself in a unfortunate situation dealing with a bitter jumpoff. It just may come back to haunt him.

Latoya you did it again!!!! This book had me on edge from page 1.....Man Baby Jesus is a hot mess but a lovable sweetheart too just like Black Jesus!!!! Dang it if Spark isn't just like Zee bae lolol!!!! She plays no games with anyone!!!! That heffa Lena better keep a prayer in her pocket because I can see that her jealous sneaky pusxc behind getting more than her power lips burnt!!! Urghhhh her and that dude are just weak af!! I can't wait until part 2 man!!! I'm glad Blaze came back with Spark because she wouldn't have been in the right mind to see the clue!!! It's bout to be a burning in the city!!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟star read indeed!!

This is why I love you lol. You wrong for that ending though but baby this book had me laughing from beginning to end. Blake and Phantom don’t have no sense at all and the kids are just like them lol. I am in love with Spark and Darryl. I knew Lena was gone be a problem from the beginning of the book but I didn’t know she was that trifling. I can’t wait to see what’s gone happen to her. All I can do is shake my head at Jay, like why is he there lol taking up space. I can’t wait till part 2 and you know I never read anything that is not finished but baby you bringing Blaze and Phantom back lol I had to read. My bae got mad skills.

So somebody done messed with the wrong family because I know for a fact that Blaze and Phantom are about to search high and low for Darryl. Spark is so crazy but I love the feistiness in her, but she does need to tone it down some. I can't believe she wants a baby that bad and didn't understand that this is her and Darryl's first year of college and they do have their whole lives ahead of them plus they are so young. Lena I can't stand her and I know she and Jay are the reason that he's been kidnapped, I just hope that they are prepared for what's to come. Great read!

Can’t get enough
I’m glad to see Blaze and Phantom again. I just can’t get enough. And now their kids are a hot mess. The jokes keep coming. Spark though is a piece of work. Selfish as they come. Darryl is a stand up young man. We need more of them out here. My favorite part is when they all went back to Blaze’s house for the birthday party. Had me rolling. I would definitely recommend this book and can’t wait for the next part. Latoya Nicole you haven’t failed me yet. Congrats on another number 1.

This author know hows to entertain you with her books. I read this book and couldn't put it down. Spark is definitely her father's child. Darryl definitely has his hands full with this one. Woooo Chile these kids are a trip They even worse then they parents. They parents was a mess. Zee Bae and them shoes ctfu. Lena & Jay have got to go. I have questions I need the answers too. Where is part 2 😩. That ending got me all in my feelings. This has to be some of her best work yet. I was crying laughing through the whole book. If this is any indication part to about to be so litt it doesn’t even make sense. Sensational

These two families together are hilarious! I laughed my butt off. Spark was just as dangerous as her father with the lighters and Darryl thought that he was Lil Jesus 😂😂. I absolutely loved these two together though. Lena was a sneaky little, jealous snake and should not be trusted at all. I was not expecting that ending and I’m sure that all hell is going to break out in book two. Great job LaToya.

Where do I start??? First off laughed so much at Debra’s party that was too funny 😂😂🤣. Phantom sprinkling everyone with holy water (cooking oil) 🤣🤣🤣. Lena needs her ass whipped she’s garbage 😡😡😡. Spark should have finished her off for real. I’m disappointed in Spark she’s doing too much they’re too young and the relationship is new I agree with what Blaze told her. I’m hoping that’s Jay’s finger and not Darryl. This is fiyah🔥🔥🔥.

Now I never expected this. These two families already crazy apart but to bring them together is just crazy. I loveee it though. The jokes are my favorite for real. The journey Spark and Lil Darryl are taking is a sight to see. I always loved reading about the kids all grown up. A must read!
I have never laughed so hard at a book in my life. This page turner will have you wanting to be a part of the family. I loved this book so much. Darryl Jr. and Spark are so good together. I hope nothing bad happens to him. I can hardly wait for part 2. Great writing and I could not put it down.

Blaze!
It was nice to visit the Hoover's and Phantom 's family. I almost forgot how much I enjoyed both of them. Although their families are dysfunctional, I love how they go hard for their families. Each character has something special about them that I enjoy. Please I'm feinin for the next episode. Thank you so much

When you read one of this authors books be prepared to laugh. This book needs it's on category named petty. If you read about the Hoover gang and Phantom then you know what I'm talking about. I laughed until my head hurt. This book holds your interest from beginning to end. Now I'm about to read the 2nd book.

Selfish Ass Spark
In her true fashion, I laughed through this whole book. Latoya Nicole is so freaking witty and knows how to grab your attention with her storylines. I like Darryl but he is definitely a wild boy. That hood rat roommate of Spark's.....I can't wait til she get her block knocked off.
