This book is strategically written for English speakers that are at an advanced-beginner proficiency learning Spanish. It has less than a 300 unique word count. There are mysterious deaths in the area surrounding Morelos, Mexico and Detective Rodriguez is determined to discover the cause and the cure. Are the deaths due to a virus, a crime, or something much more complex? Will he be able to solve the cases before another death occurs? It's a race against time, since the next death may be his very own.

Me gusta mas este libro que los otros libros ya he leido. Es misterioso e interesante. Sin embargo, el fin del libro fue apresurado y yo tenia preguntas sobre que pasara.
creo que este libro fue muy interesante y apasionante. antes de leer este libro, había comido un pan de chocolate. fue muy delicioso. siento a una vida es la experiencia muy especial, y por eso no tienes el tiempo para preocupadas, solo tienes el tiempo para sonreír y salir con los amigos o la familia.
Solid plot. Not preachy lesson. Super great opening chapter. Draws reader in for sure. Plot resolution is anti-climactic but overall definitely worth the read for me.
I have added to my class library but will not be purchasing a class set because the story kind of leaves the reader hanging in my opinion.
Although I was not particularly a fan of the cliffhanger ending, the book was well-written, and I enjoyed my reading experience. I would recommend this book to any aspiring Spanish speaker, it is not only very interesting but is also rich with useful vocabulary and grammar. For more experienced speakers, it has a very compelling plot and an inspiring story. 10/10, would recommend.
As far as leveled readers go, this was a much more engaging read! Cool mystery, intriguing legend, great storytelling. I can’t wait for my students to get to a proficiency to read this one.
