I will admit that I really enjoyed reading this bear shifter romance and found it to be intriguing & fascinating.
The characters are unique & well-developed with definite individual personalities and they react with realistic emotional feelings to the situations they find themselves in. The story-line and plot is entertaining, well-thought out and written.
It is about: a playboy billionaire black bear (Calvin) who is snowed in with a widowed curvy grizzly bear (Amanda) but they are not exactly good friends.
There is: bear shifters, an extremely a hot alpha male, a feisty independent female veterinarian, adventure, snow storms, attractions, emotional turmoil, verbal conflict, determination, guilt, fated mates, verbal banter, playfulness, happiness, passion, love and some steamy scenes.
I really would recommend this shifter romance to people who enjoy reading this genre, I sincerely doubt that you would be disappointed

Amanda and Calvin are not your average couple. Amanda is a widow of a well-respected veteran and has accepted the reality of spending the rest of her life alone. But from the moment she meets Calvin, a younger bear shifter, her body wants him even though she's fighting it as hard as she can. Calvin has learned that you have to hide your shifter side from others for your own safety but Amanda doesn't know that's why he hides his bear. She thinks he is ashamed of it for some reason. When they get stranded at her home after he rescues her from a blizzard, they can't fight their primal attraction anymore. But can it ever work for them is since they are so different is the question. 💕💗🔥💕

Loved!
This book will take you through all the emotions! From the beginning of the book we have drama! It gets better from there! The sexual tension is amazing as the story progresses! The chemistry is amazing, the banter will have you laughing out loud! The sex will have you taking a cold shower! Bear shifters are my favorite, this book combines black bear and grizzly. What I loved is that in this book the woman is the grizzly, the more powerful bear! Strong female character without being the skinny girl character! We get enough of that in the movies. I love my books to be relatable and this is much more relatable . If you look past the shifter this is a real life issue story. I loved it!

Amanda is a no nonsense grizzly shifter, widowed after her mate had died suddely a few years ago. She works as a vet to a ranch for the Boscoms - black bear shifters. While she highly respects the father and daughter of the house, she cannot get over the son, Calvin, who seems to be a city boy, polished and only interested in women.
When a blizzard hits the area she is unprepared and has to seek shelter in bear to survive. Calvin is coming to her rescue and in the oncoming second wave of the blizzard they see each other for who they really are.
A nice, short and straight forward story. Like most of the stories of Ms Montrose, courtship is short, but sweet.
Like all the others, well-written, with a new twist in the Bascom Saga.

Calvin is looking after the Ranch for his Sister while she visited her mates family over Xmas. Being yanked from sleep by his phone to find one of the horses missing and the vet missing in a bad snow storm is not his idea of fun, but even though the female vet drove him nuts he had to find her before she died. Amanda being on call meant that when one of the horses vanished she was called to find it but losing control of her snow sled she had to shift or freeze only to be rescued by the man how made her body react that she felt she was betraying her dead mate. Story of two bears that have lost someone and find they belong together even though they fight it.

A horse goes missing as a storm starts and vet grizzly bear shifter Amanda get a celled to the stable. On the way the snowmobile slips into a ditch and Amanda tries to make it to the stable in her animal form but falls into a hollow and decides to wait for the weather to ease up a bit. Brown bear shifter Calvin goes looking for her and finds her snowmobile but the weather is getting to bad to look further so goes back to wait out the weather. When the weather eases he searches again and Amanda pushes out of the hole after hearing Calvin's approach. He gives her the clothes he had taken from where she crashed the day before but before they can go far his snowmobile runs out of fuel so they get Amanda's out of the ditch and head back to Amanda's home as it is the closer. A bear shifter romance to relax and enjoy.

Amanda and Calvin are a fun couple to get to know. This is a fun short story that will leave you with a smile. Really enjoyable with great characters. Their story builds on the expanding Montrose world but reading the others in the series is not necessary to enjoy this story.

A phenomenal read!! It is beautifully written with a well-developed, consistent, and engaging plot. The storyline is intriguing, witty, funny, and emotionally deep. Loveable and well developed characters – Amanda is strong and feisty and Calvin is playful, full of himself, and sweet. Fated mates with off the charts steamy chemistry between them. It is quite an entertaining read that I strongly recommend reading!

This is a sweet old fashioned love story with a bear shifter twist. Amanda lost the love of her life and needs a second chance for love and Clavin has looked for love in all the wrong places. In each other they find happiness and passion. This is a must read for and shifter romance lover

In this novella, Isadora Montrose writes unabashedly sweet yet realistic romances about everyday people who just happen to be bears. It was light enjoyable reading, but I found it a little short for my taste. While she painted good portraits of Calvin and Amanda, I would have liked a bit more to their story than the tried-and-true lost-in-snowstorm trope.

This is the first book in this series that I've read ( yes, fashionably late), but it will be the first of many. The language, Amanda's abrasiveness, and Calvin's determination made this book so entertaining. I love their plan B.

I enjoyed Calvin and Amanda's story! Undeniable chemistry between them even if they both fight the attraction until the give in. Wonderful witty banter and dialogue in this story. This is a fun and entertaining shifter story that I really enjoyed from beginning until the end. It's a fairly quick read that is delightfully entertaining!

This is a well written shifter romance between Amanda and Calvin. Their characters are strong and have a hot chemistry together. The author does a great job moving the story quickly and smoothly filling it with a humorous bantering between the two as well as all of the drama and steam. I enjoyed the book and especially loved the ending. Highly recommend this book.

Snowed in with the Bear: A Billionaire Oil Bearons Romance by Isadora Montrose is an aawesome story that I have read. This is book number nine in a wonderful series that I have fallen in love with. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about bear shifters.

Pretty good one
I admit that I had the same low opinion of Calvin that Amanda had going into this book. However, it changed.
I wish the author had devoted a little more to Calvin’s assessment of himself and how he was changing.

Really Nice Story

I have read a lot of these types of books lately and honestly found this one to be refreshingly different. Her writing draws you in and keeps you involved throughout the whole story, I found myself in love with not only the characters but also the world she created.
Her descriptions of the characters abilities are so involved, you can truly picture it in your mind.
Their attitudes toward the events that are happening makes the story even richer.

We didn't really hit it off when we first met, I mean she did have to pull buck out of my butt and even then that darn lady stirred my bear like no other......I would never tell a soul not even myself!
Now years later Calvin Bascom Playboy extraordinaire what? Who knew this thing between us would be so explosive, that's what happens when ya hold it in though and God was I holding it in. Apparently she was too.
Who ever heard of a bear waxing his body and plucking his eyebrows?? They would ever make them like they did her late husband grizzly shifter General Jose Arrutra......It's been 5 years and I still miss him, which is why I can't understand this attraction I feel towards a black bear and a player to top it off! But I do and the near death experience probably messed with my brain because my bear has other ideas when she sees him and starts shaking her bootee for him.

Calvin has always despised his bear side. Amanda thought she already had her chance at love. Fate has other plans. Will Amanda accept he is more than she thinks? Will Calvin be ready to settle down?
I loved the chemistry between these two. Despite Calvin wanting to deny his bear side, I liked how he went after what he wanted and decided to trust what his bear was telling him. I didn't blame Amanda for the way she thought being she had lost her mate, but I loved how once she decided to take that leap she followed through. Good read!

I loved that Calvin wore Amanda down. How could she think her dead husband would begrudge her finding happiness. I was reading and wishing she would get pregnant. I think that's one of the things that made her sad, because she lost so many babies. Maybe Jose was not the one to father her kids, this mate was.

Good story.
This is a nice short read, with some unexpected romance. I liked that there was a little bit of a back story for Calvin and Amanda. I also like that they are both older adults, Calvin in his 30's and Amanda in her 40's.

Trapped by fate
Such a great book! I was worried that Cal would be alone forever, especially after the last book, but the author didn’t let me down. She gave us a grand story about letting go of the past to reach your HEA. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read the next book by this author.
