The story has its strong and weak points. At first, I feel like the story is a bit too slow for my liking. A lot of dragging parts and redundant details. There are also 'cringey' scenes. It took me 30 chapters to finally get into 'the zone'. As for the strong points, I love how the whole story tackled life and trust issues. Also, it is very unpredictable so you'll never know who will be the endgame until you reach the last chapter.
So, if you will ask me, does the story is worth to read? I think yes, it is. Will I re-read it? I think no, I won't.

3.5 Stars!
Just the Strings is one of my most re-read books by the author. I loved both Saint and Mary. It was a bit of a slow start for me in this one, but things did get a lot more interesting halfway through the end.
I appreciate the slow build that the author gave to their attraction; I'm glad that they didn't jump into a relationship right away. But I'll be honest: some parts of the book are dragging, unnecessary, and somewhat boring. But I still enjoyed the book, though.

I hate Parker. Nothing could change my mind. He's just like that best friend kuno ni Saint (don't remember her name). Cindy deserves better. As for Saint, I hated na siya pa 'yung may gana na mag-post ng "Finally done hiding? Good." something like that. Really annoying. Mary's brother, Preston, is very much annoying too. Hate him. Never read his story because of that.
Mary's friend na nag-cheat din or something (also don't remember the name) is somehow annoying for me. The first Mary Imogen, mother ni Mary is so fucking annoying to me also. Hated her since her story.
The only characters I loved are Mary, the twins and Shiloah.

tama si 1st generation imogen: dapat ituloy ang imogen-parker agenda! i was actually rooting for parker... i mean, the moment my boyfriend believes others' words despite me explaining, turn off na agad !!! hindi ako nakuha ni saint ulit after time skip pero si parker... pero go mary kay saint ka naman masaya go team banal 😔

All I wanted to say is that I soooo love this book. It is my go-to-book if I want to unwind since this is kind of a light read and slow paced. Anyway, Saint will forever be my fave GDL.

Enjoyed the first few chapters but then started getting bored, at like 30% into the story. 😃 had some cringy scenes but there were also wholesome parts, like what Saint did for Mary’s 18th birthday. 🫶🏻
And I’ll be honest, there are a lot of boring scenes. but I guess miss ariesa made this book a little slow-burn, which I don’t like from the beginning. but overall, I just got bored lol, that’s why I skipped some chapters and just wanted to get over this book already. 🥲

I thought Parker was the main lead here! I didn't like how Imo (mom) forced them to be together tho. Siguro kung 'di nila prinessure sila, I'm sure hindi magiging ganun si Parker kay Mary sa una. Parker loved her too late.

Thought I would give it another shot but ultimately had the same opinion as I did when I first read it. The only difference probably is that I know the side characters more now, especially since I've read their books. Weird how I liked Preston here more than I liked him in his own book. Also, Parker didn't irk me as much, though I also didn't particularly enjoy his own story as well I wanna read Austin's book though; I'm not sure if he has one yet. And Cohen is still my favorite GDL. My soft boi. Hey, Cohen is probably the only book in this particular Beeyotch universe that I had little to no issues with.
