Most definitely an outstanding portrayal of western justice with plenty of exciting suspenseful episodes to appease the most endearing reader's undivided attention. I have been a long time follower of Mr. Hopf, but this outstanding descriptive story goes above and beyond his normal writing experiences. If you enjoy one exciting adventure after the other, then you will definitely enjoy this one.
No problem awarding five stars to this masterpiece of western folklore adventures, as Billy and his entourage continuously met dangerous situations head on never knowing what the results might be. I was overwhelmed at times c trying to guess what the results might be and was stunned as to some of resulting outcome would be. There were m a by gunfighting episodes throughout this story, some good, some bad results. Basically, this compassionate storytelling masterpiece exceeds all expectations of any western reader's imagination, or expectations!
Mr. Hopf certainly did his homework before striking the very first key, as his storylines successfully portrays compassionate and heartwarming experiences of love, adventure, suspenseful endeavors and plenty of unexpected gunplay from beginning to end. Too, his character selections were perfectly selected for their assigned roles, which definitely enhances the many different exploits they were all a part of. The ending was another outstanding story within itself. You need to read this just for the way justice was perfectly served!
Without hesitation, I definitely recommend this fascinating story to all readers, regardless of your desired reading pleasure as I believe you will be as fascinated with Billy and how he handles each and every assignment with gusto. Never letting his friends down, and going above and beyond in fulfilling his every obligation. Please! Do yourself a favor and enjoy this outstandingly heartwarming adventure of realistic American folklore adventures!!!!

Fun. Definitely recommend
Enjoyable read. I am very impressed with the author in his ability as a storyteller. Very descriptive. He took me on a adventure of what it is like in 1895.

Excellent read for anyone who loves western stories.
I loved the book it was one that I had a hard time putting down. I will be reading more of G. MICHAEL HOPF books in the future. The story was great and it ended in a good way there was closer all the way around .

Worth reading twice
The first time i read this book i devoured it in a single session of binge reading. A few months later i read it at a more leisurely pace and was able to appreciate the author's writing style. It was an enjoyable read for western fans and i recommend it.

Wonderful!
Billy Connelly is a great character. I can see a ton of stories coming through his maturity with time. A great read!
