Hamlet #5

Wherever You Go

Rate this book
No outsiders allowed.

It's Hamlet's newest rule. As much as Deputy Natalie Newton disagrees, the sheriff's word is law and Sheriff Collins has insisted: no outsiders allowed. After what happened the last time one moved into their village, it makes sense. Everyone knows that the only time there's trouble in Hamlet is when there is an outsider or two involved. Better safe than sorry.

Of course, that's when Kade McAllister shows up.

He's lost and disheveled and, holy crap, the most handsome man she's ever seen before. Natalie knows that she doesn't have a lot to compare him to—especially since the last time she went after a guy, it didn't go so well—but she's instantly attracted to him. She feels bad for him, too. No matter what the sign out front says, Natalie is prepared to live by the old motto: Hamlet Helps.

So, despite orders from her boss, Natalie stubbornly offers to help the outsider. To her surprise, he accepts. And, despite being born and raised in Hamlet, Natalie finally discovers what it feels like to be considered an outsider.

Kade, on the other hand, thought this would be a simple job. His employer has questions about the small town tucked away in the middle of nowhere and it's up to Kade to get answers for him. He's a PI. Playing a part, digging deep, using any and every resource... it's what he does. He figures he'll be in and out, a week tops.

Then he's met by a roadblock and a warning sign. It doesn't stop him, though, as much as it intrigues him. Hamlet has its secrets. It's up to Kade to find out what they are. And if he has to take up with the only local in town willing to help him in order to discover the truth about what happened last December? He'll do it. Because a job's a job—until the moment it isn't.

As Natalie and Kade grow closer while trying to find out the truth of what went down between Grace Delaney and Thomas Mathers, Kade begins to wonder who has his loyalty: the man who pays his checks or the sweet yet strong deputy who makes him smile?

Because it isn't long before he realizes that, when it comes to Natalie, he'd follow her anywhere.

*Wherever You Go is a novella set following the close of the second full-length Hamlet novel, I'll Never Stop. It's a direct answer to the way things were resolved in that book, featuring another of the Hamlet deputies and the outsider she can't ignore.

Disappointing book!

I read Hamlet Book 4 and absolutely loved it! It had a nasty, crazy character who kept you reading to see what "crazy" would do next. But it also had some great, sexy characters you loved. I loved the ending, even though I knew Book 5 would continue the story. So I preordered it and couldn't wait for it to come out. I'm Seriously disappointed. If you've not caught my attention in the first few chapters, I delete it and go to the next book. But being that I preordered this one, and didn't want to throw away my money, I continued. I found this book VERY boring. Nothing exciting going on into the story until you were at least 80% into the book's ending. I won't waste my money on another from this author. Buy at your own risk.

I thoroughly enjoy reading the books in this series. With each book cones more details of hamlet and the people who live there. The author does a great job of making you feel like you are in hamlet experiencing the events. I enjoyed hearing more about grace in this book, and getting to know Natalie. I was not expecting any of the events in the end to happy, but I can say the author keeps you on your toes. I cannot wait to see what is to come in the next book!

The village has now made a law that no outsiders will be allowed into the village as trouble only seems to happen when outsiders arrive. She disagrees with it so when he arrives she helps him. He is there to find out what really happen but he needs to act a part. Will he finds out what happened? What if he calls in love? See How he gets on

Great plot.

I love these stories and the characters. The imaginative setting is fantastic. Having said that, this particular book needs some editing. It's not awful, but it stops me when a word has an extra letter or too few

I quite liked this fifth story in the Hamlet series. I enjoyed the storyline of an investigator trying to find out what is going on in the village. Intrigue and romance make for a nice plot.

This was a miss for me, I couldn't connect with the story or the characters. It was too weird or farfetched.
