Hannah Jamison knows firsthand she can’t trust men. When she was fifteen and fighting to get control of her diabetes, her father walked out on his family. Now, her loyal medical service dog who alerts her when her blood sugar is dangerous is her best friend, and her life is just the way she wants it. Calm and under control.

Cameron O’Brien loves women. Pretty much all women. But after watching his folks’ marriage fall apart when his youngest sister died, he learned firsthand that even the best relationships can go bad. No way is he ever going down that unpredictable and rocky road.

When Cam and Hannah meet, it’s instant attraction, but their “no-commitment” relationship quickly becomes the biggest complication of their lives, leaving them to decide if their fears will keep them apart forever, or the secrets hidden in their hearts can give them the courage to find a future together.

Misinformation on SDs

If you're going to center a book on service dogs, do your research properly. A dog who performs tasks or work for a disabled person is a SERVICE dog. So the one for the accident kid? It's a service dog. Also SDs don't need to be registered in the US. A PTSD dog might be a service dog or a therapy dog depending on whether it's trained to do work, like alerting or grounding the owner. Some of the horse details were questionable also (a snaffle has no leverage. If it had leverage, it would be a curb). And it needs better editing. Lots of misplaced punctuation. But mostly I'm infuriated about misinformation on service dogs, especially as someone who relies regularly on a mobility SD.

Yet another marvelous book in the Crystal Springs Romance set. I love every single one of them and Cam & Hannah's story was another winner. At first, I thought Cam might be a player and just act like he was only out for himself but boy was he a sweetheart. I absolutely loved Cam and it was so great seeing him fall in love for the first time. Hannah was very backwards and shy after having been hurt in the past. It was so great to finally see them realize that they are perfect for each other. I can't wait for Bethany's story and hearing more from all the gang.

I really enjoyed this book!

I normally read mysteries, but since Mary Jane Morgan is a friend and dedicated the book to my dog, I wanted to read it.

I loved the idea of going places with and without Rosco. I totally understand the struggle of being a diabetic and life with and without a service dog. I loved that this is not an R rated book❣️

Looking forward to the next book, which I already have in my digital library!

Thank you Mary Jane for writing a wonderful book and including my GCh. Ch. Heidelberg’s Kodiak v Queridad, CGC in it.

Such a cute story in a cute small town.

This small town is so cute. The ranch seems so wonderful and the characters are so sweet. Hannah and Cam's story is a cute story filled with ups and downs because of her diabetes. She does have a service dog to help her. He loves to take care of people and have done it a lot in the past. Their friends and families are so helpful throughout this book. Love this story.

Secrets of the Heart

Cam was never looking for a long term relationship. Then he met Hannah. Hannah kept her distance from men, actually from most people. Mostly keeping to herself. Just her and her service dog Roscoe. Then Cam came along and changed it all.
Wonderful story. Parts will gave you in tears. Definitely an emotional read.

Enjoyed!

This book discussed some subjects that are far more common than people realize. Diabetes can be hard to control, service/therapy dogs are needed by many people. This book shows the correct way to handle these things. They were apart of this love story, they didn’t ruin the story. Just like needing a service/therapy dog doesn’t ruin your life.

Beautiful story

Hannah has diabetes and an alert dog named Rosco. Cam has had to deal with the death of a sister who had MS and the devastation it caused his family. They are drawn to each other as Hannah tries to get out more. Although you know there will be a HEA, it is a great story to get there.

As usual this is another great love story by MJ. Always heartfelt and emotional. Anxious to read more. I have been very busy of late and unable to read much but this was the first one I picked up when I felt the urge to get addicted again. Thanks Mary Jane for another great love story.

This touched my heart so very much! One because I'm a special needs mother and two because of the therapy and service animals involved. Thank you for writing this story of overcoming fear and succeeding onward in life. Loved it.

Two people guarding their heart for all the wrong reasons
When they meet they first have to reconcile to their past before they can look to the future.
A good story line well written

Porn

Explicit sex some bad language. A shame the other reviews did not alert readers. Disgusting and totally unnecessary for the story.
